door using theremote keyless entrysystem and
provides thepanic alarm. Theoperating distance
depends upontheconditions aroundthevehicle. To
securely operatethelock andunlock buttons,
approach thevehicle toabout 1m (3.3 ft)from the
door.
The remote keyless entrysystem willnot function under
the following conditions:
. When theIntelligent Key isnot within the
operational range. .
When theIntelligent Key battery isdischarged.

The NISSAN Anti-Theft System (NATS) willnotallow
the engine tostart without theuse ofthe registered
NA TS key.
If the engine doesnotstart using theregistered NATS
key ,it may bedue tointerference causedby:
. Another NATS key.
. Automated tollroad device.
. Automated paymentdevice.
. Other devices thattransmit similarsignals.
Start theengine usingthefollowing procedure:
1. Remove anyitems thatmay becausing the
interference awayfromtheNATS key.
2. Leave theignition switchinthe ªONº position for
approximately 5seconds.
3. Place theignition switchinthe ªOFFº orªLOCKº
position, andwait approximately 10seconds.
4. Repeat steps2and 3again.
5. Start theengine.
6. Repeat thesteps above untilallpossible inter-
ferences areeliminated.
If this procedure allowstheengine tostart, NISSAN
recommends placingtheregistered NATS key sepa-
rate from other devices toavoid interference.
Security indicator light

panel. Itindicates thestatus ofNA TS.
The light operates whenever theignition switchisin
the ªLOCKº ,ªOFFº orªACCº position. Thesecurity
indicator lightindicates thatthesecurity systems on
the vehicle areoperational.
If NA TS ismalfunctioning, thislight willremain onwhile
the ignition switchisin the ªONº position.
If the light remains onand/or theengine does
not start, contact aNISSAN dealerforNATS
service assoon aspossible. Besure tobring all
NA TS keys thatyouhave when visiting aNISSAN
dealer forservice.

mirrors.
. Make surethattheback doorissecurely
closed whenbacking up.
. Underneath thebumper andthecorner
areas ofthe bumper cannotbeviewed on
the Rearview Monitorbecause ofits mon-
itoring rangelimitation.
. Donot putanything onthe Rearview cam-
era.
. The Rearview cameraisinstalled abovethe
license plate.
. When washing thevehicle withhigh-pres-
sure water, besure nottospray itaround the
camera. Otherwise, watermayenter the
camera unitcausing watercondensation on
the lens, amalfunction, fireoran electric shock.
. Donot strike thecamera. Itis aprecision
instrument. Otherwise,itmay malfunction or
cause damage resulting inafire oran
electric shock.
CAUTION:
