Odometer/Twin trip odometer
The odometer and the twin trip odometer
1are displayed in the vehicle information
display when the ignition switch is placed
in the ON position.
The odometer records the total distance
the vehicle has been driven.
The twin trip odometer records the dis-
tance of individual trips. Changing the display
Push the TRIP RESET switch
2on the lef t
side of the instrument panel to change the
display as follows:
ODO →Trip
→Trip→ ODO
Resetting the trip odometer
Pushing the TRIP RESET switch
2for more
than 1 second resets the currently dis-
played trip odometer to zero.
Clock and Outside temperature
display
Clock
The clock is displayed at the top of the
vehicle information display.
Outside temperature display
The outside temperature is displayed at
the top of the vehicle information display.
The snowflake icon appears if the outside
temperature is below 37°F (3°C). The tem-
perature can be changed to display in Cel-
sius or Fahrenheit. For additional informa-
tion, refer to “Unit” in this section.

RESETTING THE DRIVE COMPUTER
1. Press theorbuttons
until you reach the desired drive com-
puter mode.
NOTE:
Once you have a drive computer dis-
played, you can use the
andbuttons to switch between
Drive Computer
1or2.
2. Press the OK button.
3. Select one of the following items: ∙ “Cancel” — returns to the previous screen without resetting the trip com-
puter. ∙ Drive computer value
– “Average Speed” - resets the averagespeed of the selected drive com-
puter.
– “Distance” - resets the distance and time of the selected drive computer.
– “Fuel Economy” - resets the fuel economy of the selected drive com-
puter.
∙ “All” — resets all linked values for the se- lected drive computer. This includes
distance and time, average fuel
economy and average speed informa-
tion for the selected drive computer.
NOTE:
Drive computer 2 will automatically reset
each time the ignition is placed in the
OFF position.

Clock Allows user to set the clock displayed within the vehicle information display. When selected, the user may be
instructed to go to the settings menu in the audio center display. For additional information, refer to the
separate NissanConnect® Owner’s Manual.
Meter Settings
The meter settings allow the user to
change the settings for the vehicle infor-
mation display.
Menu item Result
Main Menu Selection Displays the available options.
Home Allows user to turn the home screen on or off in the vehicle information display.
Average Speed Allows user to turn the average speed screen on or off in the vehicle information display.
Trip Allows user to turn the trip display on or off in the vehicle information display.
Energy Flow Allows user to turn the energy flow display on or off in the vehicle information display. For additional
information, refer to “Energy monitors” in the “HEV Overview” section of this manual.
EV Odometer Allows user to turn the EV odometer display on or off in the vehicle information display.
Coolant Temp. Allows user to turn the coolant temperature display on or off in the vehicle information display.
Fuel Economy Allows user to turn the fuel economy display on or off in the vehicle information display.
Navigation (if so equipped) Allows user to turn the navigation display on or off in the vehicle information display. For additional
information, refer to the separate NissanConnect® Owner’s Manual.
Audio Allows user to turn the audio screen on or off in the vehicle information display.For additional information,
refer to the separate NissanConnect® Owner’s Manual.
Cruise Control (if so equipped) Allows user to turn the cruise control display on or off in the vehicle information display.
Safety Shield (if so equipped) Allows user to turn the driving aids display on or off in the vehicle information display. For additional
information, refer to “Driver Assistance” in this section.
Tire Pressures Allows user to turn the tire pressure display on or off in the vehicle information display.

NOTE:
If the rear window wiper operation is in-
terrupted by snow, etc., the wiper may
stop moving to protect its motor. If this
occurs, turn the wiper switch to OFF and
remove the snow, etc. on and around the
wiper arms. Af ter about 1 minute, turn
the switch ON again to operate the wiper.
The rear window wiper and washer oper-
ate when the ignition switch is in the ON
position. Turn the switch clockwise from
the OFF position to operate the wiper.
1Intermittent (INT) — intermittent op-
eration (not adjustable)
2Low (ON) — continuous low speed op-
eration
Push the switch forward
3to operate the
washer. The wiper will also operate several
times.
NOTE:
The Reverse Link feature may be dis-
abled. For additional information, refer
to “Vehicle information display ” in this
section. To defrost the rear window glass and out-
side mirrors start the hybrid system and
push the rear window defroster switch on.
The rear window defroster indicator light
on the switch comes on. Push the switch
again to turn the defroster off.
The rear window defroster automatically
turns off af ter approximately 15 minutes.
CAUTION
When cleaning the inner side of the rear
window, be careful not to scratch or
damage the rear window defroster.
HEADLIGHT CONTROL SWITCH
Lighting
1Rotate the switch to theposition,
and the front parking, tail, license plate,
and instrument panel lights will come
on.
2Rotate the switch to theposition,
and the headlights will come on and all
the other lights remain on.

To remove the fuel-filler cap:1. Turn the fuel-filler cap counterclock- wise to remove.
2. Put the fuel-filler cap on the cap holder
1while refueling.
To install the fuel-filler cap: 1. Insert the fuel-filler cap straight into the fuel-filler tube.
2. Turn the fuel-filler cap clockwise until a single click is heard.
Loose Fuel Cap warning
The Loose Fuel Cap warning message will
be displayed in the vehicle information dis-
play when the fuel-filler cap is not tight-
ened correctly af ter the vehicle has been
refueled. It may take a few driving trips for
the message to be displayed. To turn off
the warning message, perform the follow-
ing:
1. Remove and install the fuel-filler cap as soon as possible. For additional infor-
mation, refer to “Fuel-filler cap” in this
section. 2. Tighten the fuel-filler cap until a single
click is heard.
3. Press the OK button

7. Use the slotted end of the jack tool toremove the clips that are holding the
floor board in place by pressing the
center pin downwards. 8. To loosen the bolt, turn counterclock-
wise.
9. Once loosened, remove the bolt.
10. Remove the spare tire.Changing the spare tire with
BOSE® sub-woofer (if so
equipped)
1. To loosen the bolt, turn counterclock- wise.
2. Once loosened, remove the bolt.

∙ Do not allow passengers to stay in thevehicle while it is on the jack.
∙ Never run the engine with a wheel(s) off the ground. It may cause the ve-
hicle to move.
Always refer to the illustrations for the cor-
rect placement and jack-up points for your
specific vehicle model and jack type.
Carefully read the caution label attached
to the jack body and the following in-
structions.1. Loosen each wheel nut 1 or 2 turns by turning counterclockwise with the
wheel nut wrench. Do not remove the
wheel nuts until the tire is off the
ground.
2. Place the jack directly under the jack-up point as illustrated so the top
of the jack contacts the vehicle at the jack-up point. Align the jack head be-
tween the 2 notches in the front or the
rear as shown. Also fit the groove of the
jack head between the notches as
shown.
The jack should be used on firm and
level ground.
3. To lif t the vehicle, securely hold the jack lever and rod with both hands. Carefully
raise the vehicle until the tire clears the
ground. Remove the wheel nuts, and
then remove the tire.

2. Start the hybrid system and let it idleuntil it reaches operating temperature,
then turn it off.

wrench by turning it counterclockwise
and completely drain the oil.
If the oil filter is to be changed, remove
and replace it at this time. For addi-
tional information, refer to “Changing
engine oil filter” in this section.
∙ Waste oil must be disposed of prop-
erly.
∙ Check your local regulations.
WARNING
∙ Prolonged and repeated contact with
used engine oil may cause skin
cancer.
∙ Try to avoid direct skin contact with used oil. If skin contact is made, wash
thoroughly with soap or hand cleaner
as soon as possible.
∙ Keep used engine oil out of reach of children.
CAUTION
Be careful not to burn yourself. The en-
gine oil may be hot.
6. Clean and reinstall the drain plug and a new washer. Securely tighten the drain
plug with a wrench. Do not use exces-
sive force.
Drain plug tightening torque: 25 f t-lb (34 N·m) 7. Refill engine with recommended oil
through the oil filler opening, then install
the oil filler cap securely.

“Recommended fluids/lubricants and
capacities” in the “Technical and con-
sumer information” section of this
manual for drain and refill capacity.
The drain and refill capacity depends
on the oil temperature and drain time.
Use these specifications for reference
only. Always use the dipstick to deter-
mine when the proper amount of oil is
in the engine.
8. Start the hybrid system. Check for leak- age around the drain plug and oil filter.
Correct as required.
9. Turn the hybrid system off and wait more than 10 minutes. Check the oil
level with the dipstick. Add engine oil if
necessary.

CHANGING ENGINE OIL FILTER
1. Park the vehicle on a level surface andapply the parking brake.
2. Turn the hybrid system off.
3. Place a large drain pan under the oil filter

4. Remove oil filter
Bwith an oil filter
wrench by turning it counterclockwise.
Then remove the oil filter by turning it
by hand.
CAUTION
Be careful not to burn yourself. The en-
gine oil may be hot.
5. Wipe the engine oil filter sealing surface with a clean rag.
CAUTION
∙ Be sure to remove any old gasketmaterial remaining on the sealing
surface of the engine. Failure to do
so could lead to an oil leak and en-
gine damage.
∙ The dipstick must be inserted in place to prevent oil spillage from
the dipstick hole when filling the
engine with oil.
6. Coat the gasket on the new filter with clean engine oil.
7. Screw on the oil filter until a slight resis- tance is felt, then tighten an additional
2/3 turn. 8. Start the hybrid system and check for
leakage around the oil filter. Correct as
required.
9. Turn the hybrid system off and wait more than 10 minutes. Check the oil
level. Add engine oil if necessary.
