1. Pull the hood lock release handleO1lo-
cated on the lower door pillar until the
hood springs up slightly.
2. Locate the lever
O2in between the hood
and grille and push the lever sideways
with your fingertips.
3. Raise the hood

into the slot marked by an arrow

NOTE:
Do not place the support rod in a location
other than the designated slot. Hold the coated parts
OAwhen removing
or resetting the support rod. Avoid direct
contact with the metal parts, as they
may be hot immediately af ter the engine
has been stopped.
When closing the hood, return the support
rod to its original position, lower the hood
to approximately 12 in (30 cm) above the
latch and release it. This allows proper en-
gagement of the hood latch.

The vehicle is not equipped with a USB de-
vice. USB devices should be purchased
separately as necessary.
This system cannot be used to format USB
devices. To format a USB device, use a per-
sonal computer.
In some jurisdictions, the USB device for the
front seats plays only sound without im-
ages for regulatory reasons, even when the
vehicle is parked.
This system supports various USB
memory devices, USB hard drives and
iPod® players. Some USB devices may not
be supported by this system.
• Partitioned USB devices may not playcorrectly.
• Some characters used in other lan- guages (Chinese, Japanese, etc.) may not
appear properly in the display. Using Eng-
lish language characters with a USB de-
vice is recommended.
General notes for USB use:
• For additional information, refer to your device manufacturer’s owner informa-
tion regarding the proper use and care of
the device. Notes for iPod® use:
iPod® is a trademark of Apple Inc., regis-
tered in the U.S. and other countries.
• Improperly plugging in the iPod® may
cause a checkmark to be displayed on
and off (flickering). Always make sure that

connected during a seek operation. In
this case, please manually reset the
iPod®.
• An iPod® nano (2nd Generation) will con- tinue to fast-forward or rewind if it is dis-
connected during a seek operation.
• An incorrect song title may appear when the Play Mode is changed while using an

• If you are using an iPod® (3rd Generation with Dock connector), do not use very
long names for the song title, album
name or artist name to prevent the iPod®
from resetting itself.
• Be careful not to do the following, or the cable could be damaged and a loss of
function may occur:– Bend the cable excessively (1.6 in (40 mm) radius maximum).
– Twist the cable excessively (more than 180 degrees).
– Pull or drop the cable.
– Do not force the iPod® cable connector into the device port.
– Close the center console lid on the cable or connectors.
– Store objects with sharp edges in the storage where the cable is stored.
– Spill liquids on the cable and connec- tors.
• Do not connect the cable to the iPod® if the cable and/or connectors are wet. It
may damage the iPod®. • If the cable and connectors are exposed
to water, allow the cable and/or connec-
tors to dry completely before connecting
the cable to the iPod® (wait 24 hours for it
to dry).
• If the connector is exposed to fluids other than water, evaporative residue may
cause a short between the connector
pins. In this case, replace the cable, other-
wise damage to the iPod® and a loss of
function may occur.
• If the cable is damaged (insulation cut, connectors cracked, contamination such
as liquids, dust, dirt, etc. in the connec-
tors), do not use the cable. It is recom-
mended that you visit a NISSAN dealer to
replace the cable with a new one.
• When not in use for extended periods of time, store the cable in a clean, dust free
environment at room temperature and
without direct sun exposure.
• Do not use the cable for any other pur- poses other than its intended use in the
vehicle.

• Some Bluetooth® audio devices may not be recognized by the in-vehicle audio
system.
• It is necessary to set up the wireless con- nection between a compatible
Bluetooth® audio device and the in-
vehicle Bluetooth® module before using
the Bluetooth® audio.
• Operating procedure of the Bluetooth® audio will vary depending on the devices.
Make sure how to operate your audio de-
vice before using it with this system.
• The Bluetooth® audio may be stopped under the following conditions:– Receiving a call on the Bluetooth® Hands-Free Phone System.
– Checking the connection to the hands-free phone.
• Do not place the Bluetooth® audio device in an area surrounded by metal or far
away from the in-vehicle Bluetooth®
module to prevent tone quality degrada-
tion and wireless connection disruption.
• While an audio device is connected through the Bluetooth® wireless connec-
tion, the battery power of the device may
discharge quicker than usual.

Audio button
Push to display the audio screen. When this
button is pushed while the audio screen is
not displayed, the last audio source played
will play.

AM radio operation
Press theMENU button and touch the

to bring up the AM display screen.
If another audio source is playing when the
“AM” key is pressed, the audio source play-
ing will automatically be turned off and the
last radio station played will begin playing.
AM Menu
Touch the “AM Menu” key to display the AM
Menu screen options:
• SCAN: To scan the stations, touch the “AM Menu” key on the radio screen and then
touch the “SCAN” key. The stations will be
tuned from low to high frequencies and
stop at each broadcasting station for
several seconds. Touching the “SCAN” key
again during this period of several sec-
onds will stop tuning and the radio will
remain tuned to that station.

The FM stereo indicator (STEREO) is shown
on the screen during FM stereo reception.
When the stereo broadcast signal is weak,
the radio automatically changes from ste-
reo to monaural reception.

SEEK/TRACK buttons
For most audio sources, pushing the tun-
ing switches for more than 1.5 seconds
provides a different function than pushing
for less than 1.5 seconds.

•If the low tire pressure warning light
illuminates while driving, avoid sud-
den steering maneuvers or abrupt
braking, reduce vehicle speed, pull
off the road to a safe location and
stop the vehicle as soon as possible.
Driving with under-inflated tires may
permanently damage the tires and
increase the likelihood of tire failure.
Serious vehicle damage could occur
and may lead to an accident and
could result in serious personal in-
jury. Check the tire pressure for all
four tires. Adjust the tire pressure to
the recommended COLD tire pres-
sure shown on the Tire and Loading
Information label to turn the low tire
pressure warning light off. If you have
a flat tire, replace it with a spare tire
as soon as possible. (For additional
information on changing a flat tire,
refer to “Flat tire” in the “In case of
emergency ” section of this manual.) •
When replacing a wheel without the
TPMS such as the spare tire, when a
spare tire is mounted or a wheel is
replaced, the TPMS will not function
and the low tire pressure warning
light will flash for approximately 1
minute. The light will remain on af ter
1 minute. Have your tires replaced
and/or TPMS reset as soon as pos-
sible. It is recommended that you
visit a NISSAN dealer for this service.
• Replacing tires with those not origi-
nally specified by NISSAN could af-
fect the proper operation of the
TPMS.
• Do not inject any tire liquid or aerosol
tire sealant into the tires, as this may
cause a malfunction of the tire pres-
sure sensors.
CAUTION
Do not place metalized film or any
metal parts (antenna, etc.) on the win-
dows. This may cause poor reception of
the signals from the tire pressure sen-
sors, and the TPMS will not function
properly. Some devices and transmitters may tem-
porarily interfere with the operation of the
TPMS and cause the low tire pressure
warning light to illuminate.
Some examples are:
• Facilities or electric devices using similar
radio frequencies are near the vehicle.
• If a transmitter set to similar frequencies is being used in or near the vehicle.
• If a computer (or similar equipment) or a DC/AC converter is being used in or near
the vehicle.
The low tire pressure warning light may
illuminate in the following cases:
• If the vehicle is equipped with a wheel and tire without TPMS.
• If the TPMS has been replaced and the ID has not been registered.
• If the wheel is not originally specified by NISSAN.

• If the cruise control system malfunctions, it cancels automatically. The
indica-
tor in the instrument panel then blinks to
warn the driver. For additional informa-
tion, refer to “Vehicle information display”
in the “Instruments and controls” section
of this manual. • If the
indicator blinks, push the
Cruise control switch off and have the
system checked. It is recommended that
you visit a NISSAN dealer for this service.
• The
indicator may blink when the
Cruise control switch is pushed on while
pushing the RES +, SET-, or CANCEL
switch. To properly set the cruise control
system, use the following procedures.

To set cruising speed, accelerate the ve-
hicle to the desired speed, push the SET—
switch and release it. Take your foot off the
accelerator pedal. Your vehicle maintains
the set speed.
• To pass another vehicle, depress the ac-
celerator pedal. When you release the
pedal, the vehicle returns to the previ-
ously set speed.
• The vehicle may not maintain the set speed when going up or down steep hills.
If this happens, drive without the cruise
control.
To cancel the preset speed, use one of the
following three methods:
• Push the CANCEL switch.
• Tap the brake pedal.
• Push the Cruise control switch off. The
indicator in the instrument panel
goes out.

CRUISE CONTROL (if so equipped)

The cruise control is automatically can-
celed if:
• You depress the brake or clutch pedal (forManual Transmission models) while
pushing the RES+ or SET- switch. The pre-
set speed is deleted from memory.
• The vehicle slows down more than 8 mph (13 km/h) below the set speed.
• You depress the clutch pedal (for Manual Transmission models), or move the shif t
lever to N (Neutral) (for Continuously Vari-
able Transmission models).
To reset at a faster cruising speed, use
one of the following three methods:
• Depress the accelerator pedal. When the vehicle attains the desired speed, push
and release the SET— switch.
• Push and hold the RES+ switch. When the vehicle attains the speed you desire, re-
lease the switch.
• Push and release the RES+ switch. Each time you do this, the set speed increases
by about 1 mph (1.6 km/h). To reset at a slower cruising speed,
use
one of the following three methods:
• Lightly tap the brake pedal. When the ve- hicle attains the desired speed, push the
SET— switch and release it.
• Push and hold the SET— switch. Release the switch when the vehicle slows to the
desired speed.
• Push and release the SET— switch. Each time you do this, the set speed decreases
by about 1 mph (1.6 km/h).
To resume the preset speed, push and
release the RES+ switch. The vehicle re-
turns to the last set cruising speed when
the vehicle speed is over 25 mph (40 km/h).

Operating ICC
To turn on the cruise control,quickly push
and release the ICC switch
OA. The ICC sys-
tem ON indicator (white), set distance indi-
cator and set vehicle speed indicator come
on in a standby state for setting. To set cruising speed,
accelerate your ve-
hicle to the desired speed, push the SET-
switch and release it. The ICC system set
indicator (green), vehicle ahead detection
indicator, set distance indicator and set ve-
hicle speed indicator
OBwill come on. Take
your foot off the accelerator pedal. Your
vehicle will maintain the set speed.
When the SET- switch is pushed under the
following conditions, the system cannot be
set and the ICC indicators will blink for ap-
proximately 2 seconds:
• When traveling below 20 mph (32 km/h) and a vehicle ahead is not detected • When the shif t lever is not in the D (Drive)
or L (Low) (if so equipped) position
• When the parking brake is applied
• When the brakes are operated by the driver
When the SET- switch is pushed under the
following conditions, the system cannot be
set.
A warning chime will sound and a message
will pop up:
• When the VDC system is off (To use the ICC system, turn on the VDC system. Push
the ICC switch to turn off the ICC system
and reset the ICC switch by pushing the
ICC switch again.)
For additional information about the
VDC system, refer to “Vehicle Dynamic
Control (VDC) system” in this section.
• When ABS or VDC is operating
• When a wheel is slipping (To use the ICC system, make sure the wheels are no lon-
ger slipping. Push the ICC switch to turn
off the ICC system, and reset the ICC sys-
tem by pushing the ICC switch again.)
