Anchor attachment
ISOFIX childrestraints includetworigid attachments
that canbeconnected totwo anchors locatedinthe
seat. With thissystem, youdonot have touse avehicle
seat belttosecure thechild restraint. Checkyourchild
restraint foralabel stating thatitis compatible withthe
ISOFIX childrestraints. Thisinformation mayalso bein
the instructions providedbythe child restraint manu-
facturer.
ISOFIX childrestraints generallyrequiretheuse ofa
top tether straporother anti-rotation devicessuchas
support legs.When installing ISOFIXchildrestraints,
carefully readandfollow theinstructions inthis manual
and those supplied withthechild restraints. (See

Y our vehicle isdesigned toaccommodate achild
restraint systemonthe second rowseat. When
installing achild restraint system,carefully readand
follow theinstructions inthis manual andthose
supplied withthechild restraint system.
WARNING:
. Child restraint anchorages aredesigned to
withstand onlythose loadsimposed by
correctly fittedchildrestraints. Underno
circumstances arethey tobe used foradult
seat belts, harnesses orfor attaching other
items orequipment tothe vehicle. Doingso
could damage thechild restraint an-
chorages. Thechild restraint willnotbe
properly installed usingthedamaged an-
chorage, andachild could beseriously
injured orkilled inacollision.
. The child restraint toptether strapmaybe
damaged bycontact withthetonneau cover
(if equipped) oritems inthe luggage area.
Remove thetonneau coverfromthevehicle
or secure itand anyluggage. Your child
could beseriously injuredorkilled ina
collision ifthe top tether strapisdamaged.

child restraint isnot secured properly, your

an accident.
. Donot install childrestraints thatrequire the
use ofatop tether straptoseating positions
that donot have atop tether anchor.
. Donot secure achild restraint inthe center
rear seating position usingtheISOFIX lower
anchors. Thechild restraint willnotbe

. Inspect thelower anchors byinserting your
fingers intothelower anchor areaand

the ISOFIX anchors areobstructed.
. Child restraint anchorages aredesigned to

head restraint whenthechild restraint isremoved.
If the seating position doesnothave anadjustable
head restraint anditis interfering withtheproper
child restraint fit,try another seatingposition ora

mental front-impact airbags inflate with
great force. Arear-facing childrestraint
could bestruck bythe supplemental front-
impact airbags inan accident andcould
seriously injureorkill your child. .
Never install achild restraint withatop
tether straponthe front seat.
. NISSAN recommends thatachild restraint
be installed onthe rear seat. However, ifyou
must install achild restraint onthe front
passenger's seat,move thepassenger's seat
to the rearmost position.
. Child restraints forinfants mustbeused in
the rear-facing directionandtherefore must
not beused onthe front passenger's seatwhen
thefront passenger's airbag isavail-
able.
Front-facing:
