smoothly ,or ifyou need toaccelerate.
Do not exceed themaximum suggested speed(shown
below) inany gear. Forlevel road driving, usethe

posted speedlimits,anddrive according tothe road
conditions whichwillensure safeoperation. Donot
over-rev theengine whenshifting toalower gearasit
may cause engine damage orloss ofvehicle control.

The Stop/Start SystemorIdling StopSystem is
designed toprevent unnecessary fuelconsumption,
exhaust emissions, andnoise during ajourney:
. When youstop thevehicle withthebrake pedal
depressed (CVT)orwith theshift lever inªNº
(Neutral) andclutch pedalreleased (MT),the
engine isturned offautomatically .
. When yourelease thebrake pedal(CVT) orpush
the clutch pedal(MT),the engine isautomatically
turned on.
CAUTION:
At the end ofthe journey theengine mustbe
stopped andignition turnedoff.Lock thevehicle
as normal. Turning theignition switchOFFwill
shut down allelectrical systems.Failuretodo
this may result inaflat battery.
