. Ifan Intelligent Keyislost orstolen, NISSAN
recommends erasingtheIDcode ofthat
Intelligent Key.Thiswillprevent theIntelli-
gent Keyfrom unauthorized usetounlock
the vehicle. Forinformation regardingthe
erasing procedure, pleasecontact aNISSAN
dealer.
Mechanical key

T o remove themechanical key,release thelock knob at
the back ofthe Intelligent Key .
T o install themechanical key,firmly insert itinto the
Intelligent Key until thelock knob returns tothe lock
position.
Use themechanical keytolock orunlock thedoors and
glove box(ifequipped) .(See ªDoor locksº (P.3-4) and
ªStoragesº (P.2-54) .)

. Never leavechildren oradults whowould
normally requirethesupport ofothers alone
in the vehicle. Theycould unknowingly
activate switches orcontrols andinadver-
tently become involved inaserious accident.
SUPER LOCK SYSTEM (ifequipped)

WARNING:
For Super LockSystem equipped models,failure
to follow theprecautions belowmaylead to
hazardous situations.MakesuretheSuper Lock
System activation isalways safelyconducted.
. When thevehicle isoccupied, neverlockthe
doors withtheremote controller orthe
Intelligent Key(ifequipped) .Doing sowill
trap theoccupants, sincetheSuper Lock
System prevents thedoors frombeing
opened fromtheinside ofthe vehicle.
. Only operate theremote controller orthe
Intelligent Key(ifequipped) lockbutton
when thereisaclear viewofthe vehicle.
This isto prevent anybody frombeing
trapped insidethevehicle through the
Supper LockSystem activation.
Locking thedoors withtheremote controller, the
Intelligent Key (ifequipped) orthe key willlock all
doors including theback doorandactivate theSuper
Lock System.
This means thatnone ofthe doors canbeopened from
the inside inorder toprevent theft. The
system willbereleased whenthedoor isunlocked
with theremote controller, IntelligentKey (ifequipped)
or key .
The Super LockSystem willnot activate whenthe
doors arelocked withthepower doorlockswitch.
Emergency situations

If the Super LockSystem isactivated duetoatraffic
accident orother unexpected circumstances whileyou
are inthe vehicle:
. Place theignition switchinthe ªONº position, the
Super LockSystem willbereleased andallthe
doors canbeunlocked withthepower doorlock
switch. You can then open thedoors.
. Remove thekey from theignition switchand
unlock thedoor using theremote controller orthe
Intelligent Key (ifequipped) .The Super Lock
System willbereleased andyoucan open the
door.
