2. Apply theparking brake.
3. Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT)model:
Move theshift lever tothe ªPº (Park) position.
Manual Transmission (MT)model: Movetheshift
lever tothe ªNº (Neutral) position.
4. Switch offallunnecessary electricalsystems
(headlights, heater,airconditioner, etc.).
5. Place theignition switchinthe ªLOCKº position.
6. Remove thevent caps, ifequipped, onthe battery .
7. Cover thebattery withafirmly wrung outmoist
cloth toreduce thehazard ofan explosion.
8. Connect thejumper cablesinthe sequence as
illustrated (

. Always connect positive +topositive +and
negative 7tobody ground, NOTto the
battery's negative7.
. Besure thatthejumper cablesdonot touch
moving partsinthe engine compartment. .

9. Start theengine ofthe booster vehicle

it run forafew minutes.
10. Depress theaccelerator pedalofthe booster
vehicle

at about 2,000 rpm.

separate theupper partfrom thelower part.
3. Replace thebattery withanew one.

4. Remove theheadlight bulb

counter clockwise. Donot shake orrotate the
bulb when removing it.
5. Install thenew bulb inthe reverse orderof
removal.
CAUTION:
. When handling thebulb, donot touch the
glass envelope.
. Use thesame number andwattage as
originally installed:
Halogen headlight model
High beam bulb:65W(H9)
Low beam bulb:55W(H11)
. Donot leave thebulb outofthe headlight
reflector foralong period oftime asdust,
moisture andsmoke mayenter theheadlight
body andaffect theperformance ofthe
headlight.
Aiming adjustment isnot necessary ifonly thebulbs
are replaced. Whenaiming adjustment isnecessary ,
contact aNISSAN dealer.
Fog may temporarily forminside thelens ofthe exterior
lights inthe rain orinacar wash. Atemperature
difference betweentheinside andtheoutside ofthe
lens causes thefog. This isnot amalfunction. Iflarge
drops ofwater collect insidethelens, contact a
NISSAN dealer.
