2. Carry theIntelligent Key with you.
3. Close alldoors.

equipped) .
6. Operate doorhandles toconfirm thatthedoors
have been securely locked.

T o prevent theIntelligent Key from being accidentally
locked inthe vehicle, lockoutprotection isequipped
with theIntelligent Key system.
. When theIntelligent Key isleft inthe vehicle and
you trytolock thedoor using thedriver's inside
lock knob aftergetting outofthe vehicle, allthe
doors willunlock automatically andachime will
sound afterthedoor isclosed. .
When theIntelligent Key isleft inthe vehicle while
the driver's doorisopened andyoutrytolock the
door using thepower doorlockswitch after
getting outofthe vehicle, aninside warning chime
will sound afterthepower doorlockswitch orthe
driver's insidelockknob isoperated.
CAUTION:
The lockout protection maynotfunction under
the following conditions:
. When theIntelligent Keyisplaced ontop of
the instrument panel.
. When theIntelligent Keyisplaced onthe
tonneau cover(ifequipped) .
. When theIntelligent Keyisplaced insideof
the glove box.
. When theIntelligent Keyisplaced insideof
the door pockets.
. When theIntelligent Keyisplaced onor
under thespare tirearea.
. When theIntelligent Keyisplaced insideor
near metallic materials.
The lockout protection mayfunction whenthe
Intelligent Keyisoutside thevehicle butistoo
close tothe vehicle.
