driver's responsibility tostay alert, drive
safely, andobserve allroad regulations that
currently apply,including lookingoutfor
road signs.
. The Traffic SignRecognition (TSR)system
may notfunction properly underthefollow-
ing conditions:
Ð When rain,snow ordirt adheres tothe
windshield infront ofthe TSR camera
unit.
Ð When theheadlights arenot bright due
to dirt onthe lens orifthe aiming isnot
adjusted properly.
Ð When strong lightenters thecamera
unit. (Forexample, thelight directly
shines onthe front ofthe vehicle at
sunrise orsunset.)
Ð When asudden changeinbrightness
occurs. (Forexample, whenthevehicle
enters orexits atunnel orunder a
bridge.)
Ð In areas notcovered bythe navigation
system.
Ð Ifthere aredeviations inrelation tothe
navigation, forexample duetochanges

The headlight aimingcontrol operates whenthe
ignition switchisin the ªONº position andtheheadlight
is on toallow theheadlight axistobe adjusted
according tothe driving condition.
When driving withnoheavy load/luggage ordriving on
a flat road, select thenormal position ª0º.
If the number ofoccupants andload/luggage inthe
vehicle changes, theheadlight axismay become higher
than normal.
If the vehicle istraveling onahilly road, theheadlights
may directly shineonthe rearview andoutside mirrors
of avehicle aheadorthe windshield ofan oncoming
vehicle, whichmayobscure otherdrivers' vision.
T o adjust tothe proper aimingheight, turntheswitch accordingly
.The higher thenumber, designated onthe
switch, thelower theheadlight axis.
Select theswitch position byreferring tothe following
samples.

the engine. Ifthe LDW ªSystem faultº
message continues toappear, havethe
system checked byaNISSAN dealer.
. Excessive noisewillinterfere withthewarn-
ing chime sound, andthechime maynotbe
heard.
The system maynotfunction properly underthe
following conditions:
. Onroads where therearemultiple parallellane
markers; lanemarkers thatarefaded ornot
painted clearly;yellowpainted lanemarkers;
non-standard lanemarkers; orlane markers
covered withwater, dirt,snow ,etc.
. Onroads where thediscontinued lanemarkers are
still detectable.
. Onroads where therearesharp curves.
. On roads where therearesharply contrasting
objects, suchasshadows, snow,water, wheel
ruts, seams orlines remaining afterroad repairs.
(The Lane Departure Warning (LDW) system
could detect theseitemsaslane markers.)
. On roads where thetraveling lanemerges or
separates.
. When thevehicle's travelingdirection doesnot
align withthelane marker.
. When traveling closetothe vehicle infront ofyou,
which obstructs thelane camera unitdetection
range.
. When rain,snow ordirt adheres tothe windshield
in front ofthe lane camera unit.
. When theheadlights arenot bright duetodirt on
the lens orifthe aiming isnot adjusted properly.
. When strong lightenters thelane camera unit.
(For example, thelight directly shinesonthe front of
the vehicle atsunrise orsunset.)
. When asudden changeinbrightness occurs.(For
example, whenthevehicle entersorexits atunnel
or under abridge.)

LDW indicator (inthe Vehicle information display)
The LDW system provides alane departure warning
function whenthevehicle isdriven atspeeds
approximately 60km/h (37MPH) andabove.
When thevehicle approaches eithertheleftorthe right
side ofthe traveling lane,awarning chimewillsound
and theLDW indicator inthe vehicle information
display willblink toalert thedriver. The
warning function willstop when thevehicle returns
inside ofthe lane markers.
The LDW system isnot designed towarn under the
following conditions.
. When youoperate thelane change signaland
change traveling lanesinthe direction ofthe
signal. (TheLDW system willbecome operable
again approximately 2seconds afterthelane
change signalisturned off.)
. When thevehicle speedlowers toless than
approximately 60km/h (37MPH) .
After theabove conditions havefinished andthe
necessary operatingconditions aresatisfied, theLDW
functions willresume.

4. Remove theheadlight bulb

counter clockwise. Donot shake orrotate the
bulb when removing it.
5. Install thenew bulb inthe reverse orderof
removal.
CAUTION:
. When handling thebulb, donot touch the
glass envelope.
. Use thesame number andwattage as
originally installed:
Halogen headlight model
High beam bulb:65W(H9)
Low beam bulb:55W(H11)
. Donot leave thebulb outofthe headlight
reflector foralong period oftime asdust,
moisture andsmoke mayenter theheadlight
body andaffect theperformance ofthe
headlight.
Aiming adjustment isnot necessary ifonly thebulbs
are replaced. Whenaiming adjustment isnecessary ,
contact aNISSAN dealer.
Fog may temporarily forminside thelens ofthe exterior
lights inthe rain orinacar wash. Atemperature
difference betweentheinside andtheoutside ofthe
lens causes thefog. This isnot amalfunction. Iflarge
drops ofwater collect insidethelens, contact a
NISSAN dealer.
