Press button to extend. To fold the
key, first press the button.
Radio remote control
Enables operation of the following
functions via the use of the remote control buttons:
● central locking system 3 24
● anti-theft locking system 3 35
● anti-theft alarm system 3 35
● tailgate unlocking and opening
● power windows 3 40
● mirrors folding 3 38
The remote control has a range of up
to 100 m, but may also be much less
due to external influences. The
hazard warning flashers confirm
operation.
Handle with care, protect from
moisture and high temperatures and
avoid unnecessary operation.
Replacing battery in radio remote
control
Replace the battery as soon as the
range reduces.
Batteries do not belong in household
waste. They must be disposed of at
an appropriate recycling collection
point.

Keys, doors and windows27If the vehicle is not closed properly,
the electronic key remains in the
vehicle or the ignition is not off,
locking will not be permitted and a
warning chime sounds.
Keep the hand behind the door
handle or keep the tailgate button
pressed to close the windows.
Unlocking and opening the tailgate
The tailgate can be unlocked and
opened hands-free by pushing the
touchpad under the tailgate moulding
when the electronic key is in range.
The doors remain locked.
Load compartment 3 30.Operation with buttons on the
electronic key
The central locking system can also
be operated with the buttons on the
electronic key.
Press O to unlock.
Press N to lock.
Press P longer to unlock and open
only the power tailgate.
Remote control operation 3 24.
Confirmation
Operation of central locking system is
confirmed by the hazard warning
flashers. A precondition is that the
setting is activated in the vehicle
personalisation 3 104.
Central locking button
Locks or unlocks all doors, the load
compartment and fuel filler flap from
inside the passenger compartment.
Press Q
to lock. The LED in the button
illuminates.
Press Q again to unlock. The LED in
the button extinguishes.

m illuminates or flashes yellow.
Illuminates
The system has been deactivated or
a fault has been detected.
Additionally, a warning message is
displayed in the Driver Information
Centre.
Check the reason of the deactivation
3 166 and in case of a system fault,
seek the assistance of a workshop.
Note
m also illuminates if the seat belts
of the front passengers are not
fastened. In this case, active
emergency braking is deactivated.
Flashes
The system is actively engaged. Depending on the situation, the
vehicle may automatically brake
moderately or hard.

Front pedestrian protection 3 169.Speed limiter
ß illuminates in the Driver
Information Centre when speed
limiter is active. Set speed is indicated
alongside ß symbol.
Speed limiter 3 156.
Door open h illuminates red.
A door or the tailgate is open.Displays
Driver Information Centre The Driver Information Centre is
located in the instrument cluster.
Driver Information Centre indicates: ● overall and trip odometer
● digital speed indication
● trip / fuel information menu
● gear shift indication
● service information
● vehicle and warning messages
● driver assistance messages
● pop-up messages
● AdBlue information

Press X to switch on the display.
Press MENU to select main menu

Door unlock: Driver only :
Changes the configuration to unlock the driver's door only or all
doors when pressing O on the
remote control.
Door unlock: Boot only : Activates
or deactivates unlocking the
tailgate only when pressing T
on the remote control.
Motorised tailgate/door :
Activates or deactivates the
opening or closing of the power
tailgate.
Hands-Free opening : Activates
or deactivates the function.
● Safety
Recommended speed display :
Activates or deactivates the
speed limit information by traffic
sign recognition.
Active safety brake : Activates or
deactivates active emergency
braking and the forward collision
alert, the alert sensitivity can be
selected.
Mirror adaptation in reverse :
Adjusts the exterior mirrors if
reverse gear is engaged to
facilitate sidewalks visibility.

Welcome lighting : Activates or
deactivates the function and

brightness of the ambient

● Park Assist : Activates advanced
park assist, a parking maneuver can be selected.
● Blind spot sensors : Activates or
deactivates side blind spot alert.
● Panoramic view system :

function.
Telematics services
Opel Connect
Opel Connect is a new way to stay
connected and secure on the road.
Features available with
Opel Connect are:
● emergency call function
● breakdown call function
When the vehicle is equipped with
Opel Connect, these features are
automatically activated. Terms and
Conditions apply.
Opel Connect is operated by the buttons in the overhead console.
Note
Opel Connect is not available for all
markets. For further information,
contact your workshop.
Emergency call function
Vehicles featuring the emergency call
function are equipped with a red SOS button in the overhead console.
The emergency call function will
establish a connection to the nearest
public safety answering point (PSAP).

If the vehicle battery is discharged,
the vehicle must not be towed,
tow-started or jump-started as the
steering wheel lock cannot be
disengaged.
Operation on vehicles with
electronic key system in case of
failure
If either the electronic key fails or the
battery of the electronic key is weak,
a message may be displayed in the
Driver Information Centre.
Hold the electronic key with buttons
outside at the marking on the steering column cover as shown in the
illustration.
Operate the clutch pedal (manual
transmission), the brake pedal and
press Start/Stop .
This option is intended for
emergencies only. Replace the
electronic key battery as soon as
possible 3 23.
For unlocking or locking the doors,
see fault in radio remote control unit
or electronic key system 3 24.Starting the engine
Vehicles with ignition switch
Turn key to position 1 to release the
steering wheel lock.
Manual transmission: operate clutch
and brake pedal.
Automatic transmission: operate
brake pedal and move selector lever
to P or N.
Do not operate accelerator pedal.
Diesel engines: wait until control
indicator ! extinguishes.
