The main me nu is the display that app ears
after the Infota inm ent system is switched
on. The following inform ation may be
dis playe d:
– Wav eband,
– Radio station frequency or nam e,
–Time,
–CD/MP3 information,
– Dis play , play back, sound or
station me mory labe ls etc..
Audio I nformat ion
The following inform ation is s how n in
the d isplay :
– Current wav eband or C D.
– Current station frequency,
CD track numb er or e lapse d track time.
– If the RDS function is active ,
the s tation nam e or s tation call lette rs
appea r on the dis play. Se e “RDS
(R adio Data S yste m)” on page 8 7.
– If th ere is a CD in th e CD s lo t,
the “CD” sy mbol illuminates on the
display . S ee “CD/ MP3 Play er” on
page 90 .
– If the C D is in rand om mode ,
the “RDM” sym bol illum inate s on the
display . S ee “Random Mode ” on

The device pulls the CD in

As soon as the first track starts to play ,
the track numbe r app ears on the
display .
zIf a CD is in the playe r whe n the ignition
or the Infotainm ent system is turned
of f , i t r em a i n s i n t h e p la yer . Wh e n t h e
ignition or the Infotainme nt sy ste m is
turned on again, the CD b egins
playing from where it las t stoppe d, if it
was the last selected a udio source.Inse rting multiple C Ds
To ins ert m ultiple CDs into the s ix-dis c C D
playe r, procee d as follows;
Press and hold the LOAD 1 button for
app rox. two seconds.
A be ep sounds and “L oad All Dis cs”

F ollow the on-sc re en ins tructions for
ins erting multiple d iscs , ins erting the
C Ds lab el s ide up part of the way into
the CD slot i.

automatically.
zT h e m o vem en t o f t h e CD m u s t n o t be
hindered or aided.
Press the LOA D 1 button a gain to
cance l loading of more CDs .
The “CD” s ymb ol appea rs on the
dis play.
As soon a s the first track starts to play,
the tra ck numbe r appe ars on the
dis play.
zIf a C D is in the p la yer when the ignition
or the Infotainme nt sy ste m is turne d
off, it re mains in the playe r. W hen the
ignition or the Infotainment system is
turned on ag ain, the C D be gins
play ing from whe re it last s topped , if it
w a s t h e l a st se l ec t e d a u d i o s o ur c e .CD mode

and you wish to play a CD, proceed as
follows;
The Infotainment system is in rad io
mode .
A CD is alre ady ins erte d in the
single-CD or six-disc CD player 3.
Press the CD / AUX a button.
The “C D” sy mbol app ears on the
disp lay.
As soon as the first tra ck starts to play ,
the track num ber ap pears on the
disp lay.
zBy p re ssing the CD / AUX a button
again, the Infotainme nt sy ste m
se arches for an auxiliary inp ut device ,
such as a porta ble a udio p layer. Se e
“Using the Auxiliary Input J ack” on
page 9 6.
T o sw itc h bac k to rad io mo de wh ile a CD is
play ing , pre ss the BAN D h button.
zThe CD rema ins in the CD slot, read y
for future listening.

Follow the on-s cree n instructions for
ins erting m ultiple dis cs, ins e rting the
CDs labe l side up pa rt of the way into
the CD slot i.
The device pulls the CDs in

To e ject the CD that is currently playing,
proce ed as follows ;
Press the EJ EC T 0 button.
A beep sounds and “Ejecting Disc”
appe ars on the dis play.
Once the disc is ejected, “Remove
Disc” appea rs on the disp la y.
Rem ov e the disc from the p la yer.
zIf the disc is not re move d, after seve ral
se conds it is a utoma tica lly retracte d
and be gins to p la y.

With the six -disc CD play er 3, press
and hold the EJECT 0 button for two
se c o n d s.
A l l d i sc s a re e j ec t e d .
Rem ove the discs from the six-disc CD
playe r.
zIf the d iscs are not remove d, a fte r
se ve ra l seconds they are automatically
retracte d.

CD m essage s
The me ss age ‘C HEC K DISC ’ a ppears on the
dis play if a problem occurs and the
CD playe r does not operate correctly .
If this mes s age appe ars or if the CD is
e je cted automatically, it could be for one of
the following rea sons:
– The CD is d irty , scratched, wet, or
up side down.
– The air is very humid.
If so, wait app rox . one hour and try
again.
– There ma y have been a prob lem while
burning the CD.
– The label may be caught in the
CD play er.
–It is very hot.
Whe n the te mperature returns to
normal, the CD should play.
– You are driving on a v ery rough road.
When the road surfa ce becomes
smoother, the C D should play .
If the CD is not playing corre ctly, for any
other reason, try a known good C D.
If any e rror occ urs repe ated ly or if an e rror
cannot be corre cted , we recom mend that
you consult a n Opel Service Partner.
If the radio displays an e rror m essag e,
write it down and provide it to your retaile r
when re porting the proble m.Usi ng the auxi liary input ja ck
Your Infotainment sy stem has an auxiliary
input jack b locate d on the lowe r right
side of the E ntertainment He ad Unit (E HU).
This is not an audio outp ut;
D o no t p l ug he a d p h o n es i n t o t h e
auxiliary input jack b.
You can howev er, connect an external
audio de vice such as a laptop compute r 3,
MP3 p layer 3, CD changer 3, or c assette
playe r 3, to the aux iliary input jack b for
us e as anothe r audio s ource .
To us e a portable audio playe r, connect a
3.5 m m phone p lug to the auxiliary inp ut
ja c k b.When a devic e is connected, to begin
play ing audio from the dev ice throug h the
vehicle’s spea kers, proceed as follows;
You are listening to a CD/MP3.
Press the CD / AUX a button.
Audio from the external audio device
conne cted starts to play .
zIf a portable audio play er is not
connected, “No I nput Device Found”
appe ars on the dis play.
zIf the v olume of the conne cted
portable aud io playe r does not go as
loud or soft as you w ish using the
Xek nob (s e e pa ge 8 1 ), you ma y
nee d to mak e ad ditional v olume
adjustme nts on the portable aud io
playe r itse lf.
To s witch back to the C D/MP3 you we re
play ing , pre ss the CD/AUX a button
aga in.
To s witch to radio mode while a portable
audio dev ic e is playing, pre ss the BAN D h
button.
zThe portable audio device continues to
play, so you may w ish to stop it or turn
it off.
