A range of preset equalization settings can
be s ele cted (inste ad of manually adjusting
the bas s , midrange and tre ble tones ),
as follows :
Press the EQ 7 button.
The equalize r labe ls ap pear on the
dis play.
Press the ap prop ria te button 6
locate d be low the labe l you wis h to
select.

Press the EQ 7 button aga in to return
to the manual mode (‘Manual’
a p p ea r s o n t h e di s p l a y) .

requirements. To adjust the settings,
proce ed as follows :
Press the K8 tune knob and the
sp eake r control la bels appe ar on the
disp lay.
The BAL and F ADE lab els appe ar on
the display.
Press the K8 tune knob
continuously to hig hlight the desired
label.

Stations for which the frequencies are
known can be set a s follows;
Tu r n t h e K8 tune knob ;
cloc kwise to s earch forwards or
anticlock wise to s earch ba ckwards ,
until the frequency of the required
station is reache d.
The s tation s e le cted is display ed.
The s ele cted s tation plays .

button.
Radio goes to ne xt or pre vious s tation.Seek and scan
Press and hold the SEE K wf or
SE EKq g button for a few se conds.
A be ep sounds and the radio goes to
the nex t or previous s tation, pla ys for a
fe w seconds, the n goes to the following
s tation in the res pe ctive dire ction.
Press the SEEK wf or SEEKq g
button again to s top the s e ek a nd
scan.
The current station is displayed.
The curre nt station play s.
zThe radio only seeks and scans
s tations with a strong s igna l within the
selected waveband.Ra dio Data System (RDS)
RDS is a s ervice provide d by the radio
broadca ste rs which m akes it m uch e as ier
to find an F M s tation and helps to e ns ure
re ception is free from inte rfere nce .
zRDS is only pos sib le on the
FM wave band with F M stations that
broadcas t RDS information.
zWhen the radio is tuned to an FM-RDS
station, the s tation name or call letters
appe ar on the dis play.
zRDS re lies upon rece iving s pecific
information from F M-RDS s tations and
only works when the information is
available .
zIn e xtre mely rare c ase s, a radio sta tion
may broadcas t incorre ct inform ation
tha t causes radio features to work
inc orre ctly. Contact the radio station in
question for assistance.
