1. Driver's electric windowManual operation: press or pull the switch lightly.
The window stops as soon as the switch is released. Automatic operation: press or pull the switch
firmly. One touch completely opens or closes the
window. Automatic opening and closing only operate when the engine is running.
2. Passenger's electric window.

4. Air intake controlIntake of exterior air.
This is the normal operating position.
Recirculation of interior air.
This position prevents exterior odours and smoke entering the pas-senger compartment and speeds upthe rate at which the passengercompartment can be heated. As soon as possible, position thecontrol in the exterior air intakeposition to prevent misting of thewindows.

These settings are recommended for cold climates.
Centre and side vents.
This setting is recommended for hotclimates.
3. Air flow adjustment Turn the control from posi- tion 1to position 4to obtain
an air flow sufficient toensure your comfort.
5. Demisting the rear screen and the mirrors
With the engine running, press once to demist therear screen and the mirrors.
It switches off automatically afterapproximately twelve minutes. Press again to switch it back on for twelve minutes. It is possible to stop demisting by pressing the button again before theend of the twelve minutes.

3. Air distribution adjustment
Windscreen and side win- dows (de-icing/demisting).
To quickly de-ice or demist the wind-screen and side windows:
Ð turn the temperature and air flow controls to maximum,
Ð close the centre vents,
Ð position the air intake control to the left; the "Outside Air" position,
Ð start the air conditioning.
Windscreen, side windows and footwells. Footwells.
These settings are recommended for cold climates.
Centre and side vents.
This setting is recommended for hotclimates. 5. Air intake control
Intake of exterior air.
This is the normal operating position.
Recirculation of interior air.
This position prevents exteriorodours and smoke entering the pas-senger compartment. Used simultaneously with the air con- ditioning, recirculation enables bothheating and cooling performance tobe improved. Used without the air conditioning, recirculation may result in misting ofthe windows. As soon as possible, position the
control in the exterior air intakeposition. Important precaution Operate the air conditioning system for 5 to 10 minutes, once or twice amonth, to keep it in perfect working
order. If the system does not produce
cold air, do not use it and contact a
PEUGEOT dealer.

Ð the centre and side vents.
7. Air intake
Press this button for recircu-
lation of the interior air.Recirculation, shown on the
display, enables the passen-
ger compartment to be insulated fromexterior odours and smoke.
Avoid prolonged recirculation of interi-
or air. To do this, press the buttonagain to resume automatic manage-
ment of the intake of air. Note: To prevent condensation on the
inside of the vehicle in cold or wet
weather, you are advised to avoidusing this mode.
4. Air conditioning
Press this button to switch
off the air conditioning. Thesymbol ECOis displayed.
Automatic operation of the
air conditioning is resumed when the
button is pressed again. The symbolA/C is displayed. 8. Switching the system off
The OFF button enables
the entire system to be
switched off.
Temperature-related com-
fort is no longer guaranteed.Pressing the OFF, AUTO , or visi-
bility button again reactivates the
system with the values set before it
was switched off.
9. Demisting the rear screen Press this button to demistthe rear screen and themirrors. Demisting switches
off automatically. It is pos-
sible to stop operation of the
demisting before it is switched offautomatically by pressing the buttonagain. Important precaution Operate the air conditioning for 5 to 10 minutes, once or twice a month,
to keep it in good working order. If the system does not produce cold
air, do not use it and contact your
PEUGEOT dealer.
Manual operation
If you wish, you can make a different
choice from that offered by the sys-
tem by changing a setting. The otherfunctions will still be controlled auto-
matically. Pressing the
AUTObutton
returns the system to completelyautomatic operation.
6. Air flowThe flow of air can beincreased or reducedby pressing buttons+or Ðrespectively.
Notes It is quite normal that the condensa- tion created by the air conditioningresults in a flow of water under the
vehicle when it is stationary.
To prevent condensation on the inside of the vehicle in cold or wet
weather, you are advised to avoidusing the ECOmode.

AUTOMATIC SWITCHING ON OF LIGHTS Side lights and dipped beam head- lamps switch on automatically if thelight is poor and when the wind-
screen wipers operate continuously.
They switch off at the same time when the light becomes brightenough or the windscreen wipers
are switched off. Note:In foggy weather or in snow
the brightness sensor can detect
sufficient light. As a result, the lights
will not come on automatically. This function is active when the
vehicle is supplied to the customer.
To disarm or activate the function:
Ð Place the key in the accessories position (1st notch),
Ð Press the end of the lights stalk for more than four seconds.
The brightness sensor, coupled
with the rain sensor, is locatedin the centre of the windscreen,
behind the interior mirror. It isused for automatic switching onof the lights. Operating check Activation Activation of this function is accom- panied by an audible signal and themessage
"Automatic lighting
active'' on the multifunction display.
Disarming Disarming of the function is accom- panied by an audible signal. Note: the function is temporarily
disarmed when the driver uses the manual lighting controls. If the brightness sensor does not function correctly , the system acti-
vates the function (the lights come
on). The driver is alerted by an audi-ble signal, accompanied by the mes-sage "Auto lighting fault" on the
multifunction display.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to have the system checked.
Direction indicators (flashers)
Left:downwards.
Right: upwards.
"Follow me home" lighting In poor light or at night, if you leave your vehicle, the side lights anddipped headlamps can be left on forapproximately one minute.
To do this:
Ð place the key in the
STOPposition,
Ð place the lights stalk in the 0 position,
Ð flash the headlamps,
Ð get out of the vehicle and lock it.
In good or rainy weather, both day and night, thefront fog lamps and therear fog lamp are dazzling
and are prohibited. Do not forget to switch them off when they are no longer needed.
