SEAT BELTS
Seat belt height adjustment:
- t o l o w e r : p u l l t h e c o n t r o l t o w a r d s
y o u a n d s l i d e i t d o w n w a r d s ,
- to raise: slide the control u p w a r d s . To fasten the seat belts

tongue into the buckle.
F Check that the seat belt is
fastened correctly by pulling the
strap.
To unfasten the seat belts
F Press the button on the buckle. Driver’s seat belt not fastened/
unfastened warning light
T h e w a r n i n g l i g h t c o m e s
on each time the ignition is
s w i t c h e d o n .
It remains on until the driver fastens
his seat belt.
A b o v e 1 2 m p h ( 2 0 k m / h ) , t h e w a r n i n g
l i g h t l a s h e s f o r t w o m i n u t e s a c c o m p a -
nied by an increasingly audible signal
and a message on the multifunction
d i s p l a y . O n c e t h e s e t w o m i n u t e s h a v e
e l a p s e d , t h e w a r n i n g l i g h t r e m a i n s l i t
until the driver’s seat belt is fastened.
Front seat belts with
pre-tensioner and force limiter
Safety in the event of front impacts
has been improved by the introduc-
t i o n o f s e a t b e l t s w i t h p r e - t e n s i o n e r
and force limiter for the front seats.
Depending on the seriousness of the
i m p a c t , t h e p r e - t e n s i o n i n g s y s t e m
instantly tightens the seat belts and
pulls them against the bodies of the
occupants. The pre-tensioning seat belts are ac-
t i v e w h e n t h e i g n i t i o n i s o n .
The force limiter eases the pressure
of the seat belt on the body of the oc-
cupant in the event of an accident.
Rear seat belts
T h e r e a r s e a t s a r e i t t e d w i t h t h r e e
three-point inertia reel seat belts.
