ALARM
Setting and deactivating the
alarm system
Switching off the siren.
The alarm completes the security
equipment for your vehicle. It offers
t w o t y p e s o f p r o t e c t i o n .
- external p r o t e c t i o n : w h e n i t i s
s e t , t h e a l a r m s o u n d s if one of
the doors, the boot or the bon-
net is opened;
- internal p r o t e c t i o n : w h e n i t i s s e t ,
the alarm sounds if the sensors
detect air movement in the pas-
senger compartment (a broken
window), or movement within
the car.
The alarm also has an anti-tamper
function.
I f t h e r e i s a n a t t e m p t t o t a m p e r w i t h
t h e w i r e s t o t h e s i r e n , c o n t r o l u n i t o r
t h e b a t t e r y , t h e s i r e n s o u n d s a n d t h e
direction indicators light. Setting the alarm (external and
internal protection)
Switch the ignition off and get out
of the vehicle.
Deadlock the vehicle.
The doors lock.
The direction indicators light for
t w o s e c o n d s .
T h e r e d l i g h t o n t h e s w i t c h l a s h e s
once a second.
5 s e c o n d s l a t e r , i n t e r n a l p r o t e c t i o n i s
set.
4 5 s e c o n d s l a t e r , e x t e r n a l p r o t e c t i o n
is set.
Note:
w h e n t h e a l a r m i s t r i g g e r e d ,
the siren sounds for thirty seconds.
A f t e r t h e t h i r t y s e c o n d s i t s t o p s , b u t
the alarm remains set.
When the alarm is trig-
g e r e d , i f a d o o r , t h e t a i l -
gate or bonnet is not
c l o s e d c o r r e c t l y , t h e s i r e n
sounds for a moment. If
the vehicle is closed correctly in the
f o l l o w i n g 4 5 s e c o n d s , t h e a l a r m i s
activated and the direction indica-
t o r s r e m a i n o n f o r t w o s e c o n d s . I n
a l l c a s e s , t h e a l a r m i s a c t i v a t e d a f -
ter 45 seconds.
Disarming the alarm
(external and internal protection)
Press the unlocking button of the
remote control key.
The doors unlock.

Note: i f t h e w a r n i n g l i g h t c o n t i n u e s t o
l a s h a f t e r d e - a c t i v a t i o n o f t h e a l a r m ,
it is a sign that the alarm has been
t r i g g e r e d . T h e l a s h i n g w i l l s t o p w h e n
t h e i g n i t i o n i s s w i t c h e d o n .

OPENING THE BONNET
Inside the vehicle: pull the handle on
t h e l e f t - h a n d s i d e , u n d e r t h e f a s c i a .
Outside the vehicle: lift the catch
and raise the bonnet.
BONNET STRUTSecure the strut to hold the bonnet
open.
B e f o r e c l o s i n g t h e b o n n e t , r e p l a c e
the strut in its housing.
FILLING THE FUEL TANK
T h e t a n k m u s t b e i l l e d w i t h f u e l w i t h
the engine switched off .
Insert the key then turn it to the left.
Remove the cap.
A l a b e l i n d i c a t e s w h i c h t y p e o f f u e l t o
use.
I f y o u i l l y o u r t a n k , d o n o t c o n t i n u e
after the third cut-off of the pump
nozzle. This could result in vehicle
malfunctions.
The capacity of the tank is approxi-
mately 50 litres.
To close
L o w e r t h e b o n n e t a n d r e l e a s e i t a t
the end of its travel.
Check that the bonnet is locked.
