Recommendations for approved lubricants The oils which appear in the table opposite are suitable for most purposes. The diagram opposite states the opti- mum range of viscosity depending onthe temperatures at which the oils areto be used. It is also possible to use 'superior quality' synthetic oils. In the absence of semi-synthetic or
synthetic oils, oils of API SH/SJ qualitymay be used by following the 'arduousconditions' servicing schedule whichspecifies shorter service intervals. Do not hesitate to ask for advice from an
approved PEUGEOT dealer to maintaindriving pleasure and to minimise themaintenace cost of your vehicle. For vehicles outside Europe, please
contact a local PEUGEOT dealer.

checked by a PEUGEOT dealer. Air filter Regular replacement of the filter ele- ment is essential. If you drive in verydusty conditions, change it twice asoften. Brake pads Brake pad wear depends on the style of driving, in particular for vehiclesused in town, for short journeys. It maybe necessary to check the thicknessof the pads even between services. Manual gearbox This does not need an oil change. Check the level according to the man-ufacturer's servicing schedule. Autoadaptive automatic gearbox This does not need an oil change: have the level checked by a
PEUGEOT dealer according to themanufacturer's servicing schedule.Only use products
approved by PEUGEOT.
