Changing the third brake light bulbs (4 bulbs W 5 W)
 Press on the fixing pins on each side of the light.
 Take out the light from the outside.
 Turn the bulb holder which corre-sponds to the faulty bulb one quarter of a turn and remove it.
 Pull the bulb and change it.
To refit, carry out these operations in re-verse order.
Changing the number plate light bulbs (W 5 W)
 Insert a thin screwdriver in one of the exterior holes of the lens.
 Push it towards the outside to unclip it.
 Remove the lens.
 Pull the bulb and change it.

Rear lights (SW)
1. Brake lights (P 21 W).
2. Side lights (R 5 W).
3. Direction indicators (PY 21 W amber).
4. Fog lamps (P 21 W).
5. Reversing lights (P 21 W).
Changing bulbs
These five bulbs are changed from out-side the boot:
 remove the access flap,
 disconnect the light connector,
 remove the light fixing bolt,
 take out the light from the outside,
 press on the four tabs and remove the bulb holder,
 turn the bulb a quarter of a turn and change it.
To refit, carry out these operations in re-verse order.
Take care to engage the light in its guides keeping it in the centreline of the vehicle.

 Take out the light from the outside.
 Press on the two tabs and remove the bulb holder.
 Pull the bulb and change it.

CHANGING A FUSE
Procedure for the replacement of a faulty fuse with a new fuse in order to rectify a failure of the corresponding function.
Access to the tools
The extraction pliers are positioned on the back of the fascia fuse box cover.
To gain access to them:
 open the glove box lid,
 push the opening guide to the left to go beyond the first notch,
 open the glove box lid fully,
 unclip the fuse box cover pulling at the top,
 remove the cover completely,
 remove the pliers.
To close the glove box, take care to push the opening guide back to the left to go beyond the first notch.
 Use the special pliers to extract the fuse from its housing.
 Always replace the faulty fuse with a fuse of the same rating.
 Check that the number engraved on the box and the rating engraved on the top correspond to the tables which follow.

Replacing a fuse
Before replacing a fuse, the cause of the failure must be identified and recti-fied.
 Identify the faulty fuse by examining the condition of its filament.

Engine compartment fuses
The fuse box is placed in the engine compartment, near the battery (left-hand side).
Access to the fuses
 Unclip the cover.
 Replace the fuse (refer to the corre-sponding paragraph).
 When you have finished, close the cover carefully to guarantee the sealing of the fuse box.

BATTERY
Procedure for charging your battery when it is flat or for starting the engine using another battery.
Access to the battery
Starting using another battery
 Connect the red cable to the positive terminal (+) of the flat battery A, then to the positive terminal (+) of the slave battery B.
 Connect one end of the green or black cable to the negative terminal (-) of the slave battery B.
 Connect the other end of the green or black cable to an earth point C on the broken down vehicle, as far as possible from the battery (for exam-ple, right-hand engine mounting).
 Operate the starter, let the engine run.
 Wait until the engine returns to idle and disconnect the cables.
The battery is located under the bonnet on the left.
To gain access to it:
 open the bonnet using the interior le-ver, then the exterior lever,
 secure the bonnet strut,
 remove the plastic cover to gain ac-cess to the two terminals.

Charging the battery using a battery charger
 Disconnect the battery from the vehi-cle.
 Follow the instructions for use pro-vided by the manufacturer of the charger.
 Reconnect starting with the negative terminal (-).
 Check that the terminals and con-nectors are clean. If they are cov-ered with sulphate (whitish or green-ish deposit), remove them and clean them.
LOAD REDUCTION MODE
System which manages the use of cer-tain functions in relation to the level of charge remaining in the battery.
When the vehicle is being driven, the load reduction function temporarily deac-tivates certain functions, such as the air conditioning, the rear screen de-icing...
The deactivated functions are reactivat-ed automatically as soon as conditions permit.
