MIRRORS
Door mirrors
Adjustable mirror permitting the lateral
rearward vision necessary when over-
taking or parking. A d j u s t m e n t
Slide switch A to the right or to the
left to select the corresponding mirror.
Move knob B in all four directions to
adjust.
Return switch A to the centre position.
The folding and unfolding of the
door mirrors can be deactivated by
a PEUGEOT dealer.
Folding
From outside: lock the vehicle using
the remote control or the key.
From inside: with the ignition on, pull
switch A rearwards.
Unfolding
From outside: unlock the vehicle using
the remote control or the key.
From inside: with the ignition on, pull
switch A rearwards. The objects observed are, in real-
ity, closer than they appear.
Take this into account to correctly
judge the distance of vehicles ap-
proaching from behind.

Adjustable mirror providing a central
rearward view.
Equipped with an anti-dazzle system,
useful in poor light.
A d j u s t m e n t
Adjust the mirror so that the glass is
d i r e c t e d c o r r e c t l y i n t h e " d a y " p o s i t i o n .
As a safety precaution, the mirrors
must be adjusted to reduce the
" b l i n d s p o t " . In order to guarantee optimum vis-
ibility during your manoeuvres, the
mirror lightens automatically when
reverse gear is engaged.

anti-dazzle position.
Push the lever to change to the nor-
m a l " d a y " p o s i t i o n . By means of a sensor, which measures
the light from the rear of the vehicle, this
system automatically and progressively
changes between the day and night
uses.
It has an anti-dazzle system which dark-
ens the mirror glass: this reduces any
driver discomfort caused by the light
beam of following vehicles, the sun...

SUN VISOR
Component which protects against sunlight
from the front or the side, also equipped
with an illuminated courtesy mirror.
With the ignition on, raise the conceal-
i n g fl a p ; t h e m i r r o r i s l i t a u t o m a t i c a l l y .
This sun visor is also equipped with a
ticket holder. To avoid any risk of jamming of the
pedals:
- only use mats which are suited
t o t h e fi x i n g s a l r e a d y p r e s e n t i n
the vehicle; it is imperative that
these are used,
- n e v e r fi t o n e m a t o n t o p o f a n - other. Removable carpet protection. Refitting
T o r e fi t t h e m a t o n t h e d r i v e r ' s s i d e :
position the mat correctly,
r e fi t t h e fi x i n g s b y p r e s s i n g ,
check that the mat is secured correctly. Fitting

The other mats are simply placed on
the carpet.
Removal
T o r e m o v e t h e m a t o n t h e d r i v e r ' s s i d e :
move the seat as far back as possible,
u n c l i p t h e fi x i n g s ,
remove the mat.

Deadlocking renders the exterior and
interior door controls inoperative.
It also deactivates the manual cen-
tralised control button.
Therefore, do not leave anyone
inside the vehicle when it is dead-
locked.
If one of the doors or the boot is still
open, the central locking does not
take place.
REMOTE CONTROL KEY
System which permits central unlocking
or locking of the vehicle using the lock
or remotely. It also locates and starts
the vehicle, as well as providing protec-
tion against theft.
Unfolding the key
First press button A to unfold the
key.

mately two seconds.
According to version, the door mirrors
unfold at the same time.
Locking the vehicle
Deadlocking using the remote
control
Press the closed padlock to lock the
vehicle.
Press the closed padlock again

Press the open padlock to
unlock the vehicle.
Unlocking using the key
Turn the key to the left in the driver's
door lock to unlock the vehicle.
Press the closed padlock
to lock the vehicle.
Normal locking using the key
Turn the key to the right in the driv-
er's door lock to lock the vehicle.

The vehicle will relock automati-
cally after thirty seconds unless
a door is opened. This system
prevents unintentional unlocking.
The folding and unfolding of the
door mirrors can be deactivated by
a PEUGEOT dealer.
Folding the key
First press button A to fold the key. Locating your vehicle
Press the closed padlock to locate
your locked vehicle in a car park.
This is indicated by lighting of the cour-
t e s y l a m p a n d fl a s h i n g o f t h e d i r e c t i o n
indicators for a few seconds. Electronic engine immobiliser
The key contains an electronic chip
which has a special code. When the
ignition is switched on, this code must
be recognised in order for starting to be
possible.
This electronic engine immobiliser locks
the engine management system a few
minutes after the ignition is switched off
and prevents starting of the engine by
anyone who does not have the key.
Anti-theft protection
In the event of a malfunction,
you are informed by lighting of
this warning lamp, an audible
signal and a message on the
multifunction screen.
In this case, your vehicle does not start;
contact a PEUGEOT dealer as soon as
possible.
Press the boot unlocking but-
ton on the remote control for
more than 2 seconds. The
boot opens slightly.

located in the centre of the wind-
screen behind the rear view mirror;
the associated functions would no
longer be controlled.
Coupling with the "Guide-me-home"
lighting
Association with the automatic illumination of
headlamps provides the "guide-me-home"
lighting with the following additional options:
-
selection of the lighting duration to 15, 30
or 60 seconds in the vehicle parameters
o n t h e m u l t i f u n c t i o n s c r e e n c o n fi g u r a -
tion menu,
- automatic activation of "guide-me- home" lighting when automatic illumi-
nation of headlamps is in operation.
Automatic illumination of headlamps
The sidelamps and dipped beam head-
lamps are switched on automatically, with-
out any action on the part of the driver,
when a low level of external light is detect-
e d ( s e n s o r b e h i n d t h e r e a r v i e w m i r r o r ) .
A s s o o n a s t h e b r i g h t n e s s r e t u r n s t o a s u f fi c i e n t
level, the lighting is switched off automatically.
"Guide-me-home" lighting
The dipped beam headlamps remain on
temporarily, after switching off the vehi-
cle's ignition, to make the driver's exit
easier in poor light.
Activation
With the ignition off, activate a
" h e a d l a m p fl a s h " u s i n g s t a l k B .
A s e c o n d " h e a d l a m p fl a s h " s w i t c h e s
the function off again.
Switching off
The "guide-me-home" lighting is
switched off automatically following the
door locking command, after a given
time. Activation
Turn ring A to the "AUTO" position.
The automatic lighting is accompanied
by a message on the multifunction
screen.
In fog or snow, the sunshine sensor
m a y d e t e c t s u f fi c i e n t l i g h t . T h e r e f o r e ,
the lighting will not be switched on auto-
matically. The dipped beam headlamps
must be switched on manually.
Deactivation
Turn ring A to a position other than
"AUTO" . Switching off is accompa-
nied by a message on the multifunction
screen. Operating fault
In the event of a malfunction of
the sunshine sensor, the light-
ing comes on accompanied by
the service warning lamp, an
audible signal and a message on the
multifunction screen.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer.
