FAMILIARISATION
Retractable roof
This system enables you to change from
a "coupé" confi guration to a "cabriolet"
confi guration and vice versa with a sin-
gle action.

Directional lighting
This additional lighting automatically
provides extended visibility when
turning.

sensors
This system provides a warning when
reversing by detecting obstacles locat-
ed behind the vehicle.

This system monitors the pressure in
each tyre and warns you of a punc-

The air conditioning system does
not contain chlorine and does not
present any danger to the ozone
layer.
In order for these systems to be fully effective, follow the operation and main-
tenance guidelines below:

 To obtain an even air distribution, take care not to obst ruct the exterior air
intake grilles located at the base of the windscreen, the n ozzles, the vents
and the air outlets, as well as the air extractor located in the boot.

 Do not cover the sunshine sensor, located on the dashboard ; this is used
for regulation of the air conditioning system.

 Operate the air conditioning system for at least 5 to 10 mi nutes, once or
twice a month to keep it in good working order.

 Ensure that the passenger compartment fi lter is in good condit ion and
have the fi lter elements replaced regularly (refer to the "Checks" section).

 We recommend the use of a combined passenger compartment fi lter .
Thanks to its special active treatment, it contributes to the p urifi cation of
the air breathed by the occupants and the cleanness of the p assenger
compartment (reduction of allergic symptoms, bad odours and greasy de-
posits).

 To ensure correct operation of the air conditioning system, you are also
advised to have it checked as recommended in the Warranty and Main te-
nance Record.

 If the system does not produce cold air, deactivate it and contact a
PEUGEOT dealer.
In the "cabriolet" confi guration, the performance of the air conditioning system
may be reduced. However, installing the windstop improves comfo rt.
When towing the maximum load on a steep gradient in high temperatures,
switching off the air conditioning increases the available e ngine power and so
improves towing performance.
If after a prolonged stop in sunshine the interior temperat ure is high, fi rst ven-
tilate the passenger compartment for a few moments.
Set the air blower control fast enough to quickly change the air in the passenger
compartment.
The condensation created by the air conditioning results in a discharge of
water under the vehicle which is perfectly normal.

In the "cabriolet" confi guration, this de-
fi nes the luggage space in the boot.
Load space cover net
When it has been removed and folded,
the windstop should be stored in its pro-
tective case.
This case can be stored by means of a
strap on the right-hand side of the boot.
Windstop storage case
When the load space cover net is
in place, the following conditions
must be observed:
- the luggage must not raise the cover net,
- luggage must not be placed on top of the cover net.
The load space cover net must
always be in place before a roof
opening operation is started (refer
to the "Familiarisation - § Opening"
section). For installation of the windstop, re-
fer to the following pages "Fitting/
removing the windstop".

Windstop folded
FITTING/REMOVING THE
WINDSTOP
In the "cabriolet" confi guration, the
windstop improves comfort in the pas-
senger compartment.
The vertical part of the windstop can be
folded down to improve visibility when
reversing.
It is supplied folded in four in its protec-
tive case. Windstop unfolded Fitting

 Clip the ends of the assembly until a
click is heard.

 Unfold the windstop by opening
the two parts to 90° until a click is
heard.

 Unfold the windstop frame guides.

 Engage the guides in the points lo-
cated behind the rear seat belts.

 Unfold each of the two parts fully.

 Engage the shafts of the windstop
frame in the openings in the rear
side trim.
When installing the windstop for the fi rst
time:

 position a 10 mm open-ended span-
ner on the hexagonal part of the
shaft,

 tighten or slacken without forcing on
each side to adjust the depth setting.

 Lastly, always check that the windstop
is retained securely before using it in
the "cabriolet" confi guration.
Removal

 Press and pull on the shaft supports to
release the shafts from the openings in
the rear side trim.
It is not necessary to remove the
windstop when changing to the
"coupé" confi guration.

 Pull the windstop forwards to release
the guides from the points located be-
hind the rear seat belts.

 Fold the windstop frame guides.

 Fold the windstop closing the two
large parts on themselves.

 Unclip each end individually.

 Fold each of the two parts on them-
selves. Storing

 Store the windstop folded in its pro-
tective case.

 Use the strap intended to secure the
case on the right-hand side of the boot
(refer to the "Boot fi ttings" section).
