FAMILIARISATION
Retractable roof
This equipment enables you to switch
from a "coupé" coni guration to a
"cabriolet" coni guration and vice versa
with a single action.

Precautions to be taken before
operating the retractable roof

 Park the vehicle on level ground.

 Check that no object could hinder
the roof manoeuvre:
- nothing should be placed on the moving rear shelf 1 or on the
screen 2 ,
- if luggage is being transported in the boot, it must not raise the
screen,
- any object, such as a jacket or umbrella, placed in the boot, must
be secured using the luggage re-
taining net 3 .

 Ensure that the screen 2 is secure.

 Close the boot correctly.
When washing your vehicle:
- avoid spraying the upper part of the windows,
- keep the end of the high- pressure nozzle at least
1 metre from the windows and
door seals.
After washing the vehicle or
following rain, wait until the roof
has dried before opening it.
The roof is operated under the
sole responsibility of the driver.
During roof manoeuvres, to avoid
the risk of injury, ensure that no
one is in the vicinity of the moving
parts.
You are strongly advised not to
operate the roof in strong winds.
It is preferable to carry out the
roof manoeuvre with the engine
running.
The roof can be operated at
speeds below 6 mph (10 km/h).
It is only possible to carry out the
operation twice with the engine
off, to prevent discharging of the
battery.
Preliminary conditions

 Switch on the ignition.

 Check thoroughly that:
- the vehicle is not in energy econo- my mode (refer to the correspond-
ing section),
- the battery voltage is sufi cient (switching on of the indicator light
on the roof control button),
- the roof fuse is in good condition (re- fer to the corresponding section),
- the electric windows are initialised (refer to the corresponding section),
- the exterior temperature is above -15 °C.

Switch to "cabriolet" coni guration:
- the four windows lower,
- the boot opens,
- the roof folds into the boot,
- the boot closes.
Operating fault
If a malfunction of the roof occurs,
apply the handbrake, switch off
the ignition, restart the engine,
then start the required manoeuvre
again.
If the problem persists, contact a
PEUGEOT dealer.
Retractable roof manoeuvres
Opening the roof
 Pull this button until the
roof opening manoeuvre is
complete.
This is coni rmed by an audible signal
and a message on the multifunction
display.
Closing the roof
 Press this button until the
roof closing manoeuvre is
complete.
This is coni rmed by an audible signal
and a message on the multifunction
display.
If you continue to pull or press
this button after the end of the
manoeuvre, the four windows
rise.
For correct operation, do not
release the roof button during a
roof manoeuvre.
However, in the event of danger,
release the button, the roof stops;
then, when the danger has been
eliminated, complete the required
manoeuvre. Switch to "coupé" coni guration:
- the four windows lower,
- the boot opens,
- the roof unfolds and locks
automatically,
- the boot closes.
The electric window controls and
the control for the four windows
are deactivated during roof
manoeuvres.
Maintenance
Carry out a complete roof
manoeuvre at least once a month
to keep it in perfect working order.

This equipment permits the setting of a

front passenger. It then automatically
controls this level in relation to the
exterior climatic conditions.
