4. Air intake / Air recirculation
) Press the button again to allow fresh air
into the passenger compar tment. The
indicator lamp goes off to confirm this.
)Press the button to recirculate
the interior air. The indicator lamp
comes on to confirm this.


5. Air conditioning On / Off
It enables you to:


- lower the temperature, in summer,

- increase the effectiveness of the demisting
in winter, above 3 °C.

Switching on

Press the "A/C"button, the button's
indicator lamp comes on.


Switching off
)
Press the "A/C"button again, the button's
indicator lamp goes off.
Switching off may affect comfor t levels (humidity, condensation).
The air conditioning is designed to
operate effectively in all seasons,
with the windows closed.
The air conditioning does not operate when the air flow adjustment control 2isin position " 0".
To obtain cooled air more quickly, you can use
recirculation of interior air for a few moments.
Then return to fresh air intake.

Dual-zone digital air conditioning The air conditioning can only operate with the engine running.
Automatic operation
1. Automatic comfort programme
Three modes are provided for the driver and for
the front passenger to select their desired level
o
f comfor t in the passenger compartment.
When the engine is cold, to prevent toogreat a distribution of cold air, the air flow will only reach its optimum levelgradually.
In cold weather, it favours thedistribution of warm air to the windscreen, the side windows and the footwells only.


2 - 3. Driver's - passenger's side
settings
The driver and front passenger can each set
the temperature to suit their requirements.

The value indicated in the screen corresponds
to a level of comfor t and not to a temperature in
degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit.
) press the button 2
or 3down(blue) reduce the value or up (red)

o increase it.
Offers the best compromise between
a comfor table temperature and quiet
operation. Provides so
ft and quiet operation by limiting air flow.
Provides stron
g and effective air flow.

Press the "AUTO"
button
repeatedly. The indicator lampcomes on at the first press; the
mode activated appears in the

gital air conditioning screen.

A setting around 21 enables you to obtain an
optimum level of comfort. Depending on your requirements, a setting between 18 and 24 is usual. In addition, it is recommended that you avoid a
left/ri
ght setting difference of more than 3.
On entering the vehicle, if the interior temperature is much colder or warmer than the comfort value, there is no needto alter the value displayed in order to obtain the required level of comfort. The system corrects the temperature difference automatically and as quicklyas possible.
4. Automatic visibilityprogramme
For maximum cooling or heating of the passenger compartment, you canexceed the minimum value of 14 or the maximum value of 28. )Push the switch 2
or 3down until"LO"
is displayed or up until "HI"isdisplayed. See "Front demistin
g-defrosting".
Dependin
g on your requirements, you can
make a different selection from that offered bythe system by changing a setting. The other
functions will still be controlled automatically.
Resuming manual control
The air conditioning is designed to
operate efficiently in all seasons, with

he windows closed.

5. Air conditioning On/Off

It allows you:


- in summer, to lower the temperature,

- in winter, above 3 °C, to improve demisting.
Switchin
g on) Press the "A/C"button, the associated
indicator lamp comes on.
The air conditioning cannot operate whenthe air flow is set to off.
Switching off) Press the "A/C"button again; the
associated indicator lamp goes off.
Switching off may cause some problems(humidity, misting).
) Press the "AUTO"
button
to return to fully automatic
operation.

Switching the system off
)Press this button to recirculate
the interior air. The indicator lamp in the button comes on andthe air recirculation symbol is
displayed.

Air recirculation prevents exterior odours
and smoke from entering the passenger compartment. It is activated automatically when
operating the screen wash.

Avoid driving for too long with the system switched off (risk of misting and of deterioration of the air quality).
Pressing the "full fan"buttonreactivates the system with the settings prior to deactivation.
The air
flow symbol (a fan) appears in thescreen. It is filled in progressively in relation
to the value required. Thi
s action switches off all of the functions of
the air conditioning system.
The temperature is no longer maintained at acomfor table level. However, a slight flow of air,
due to the movement of the vehicle, can still be felt.) As soon as possible, press this button
again to permit the intake of exterior air and
prevent misting. The indicator lamp in the
button
goes off.
) Press this button several times in succession to direct the air flowin turn towards:

Avoid prolonged operation in interior air recirculation mode (risk of misting and of deterioration of the air quality).

) Switch off the demisting/defrostingof the rear screen and door mirrorsas soon as appropriate, as lower current consumption results inreduced fuel consumption.

The control button is located on theair conditioning system control panel.
These markin
gs on the control panel indicate the control positions for rapid demisting or
defrosting of the windscreen and side windows.
With manual air
conditioning

Switching on

The rear screen demisting/defrosting can only operate when the engine is running. )
Press this button to demist/defrost the rear screen and (depending on version) the door mirrors. The indicator lamp associated with
the button comes on.

With Stop & Star t, when demisting hasbeen activated, the STOP mode is not available.


Switching off

The demisting/defrosting switches off automatically
to prevent an excessive consumption of current. ) It is possible to stop the demisting/defrosting operation before it is switched
off automatically by pressing the button
again. The indicator lamp associated withthe button goes off.
With dual-zone digital air
conditioning
Automatic visibility programme)Put the temperature and distributioncontrols to the dedicated marked position. )Switch on the air conditioning by pressing
the "A/C"button; the warning lamp in the button comes on.
) Select this programme to demist or defrost
the windscreen and side windows as quickly as possible.
The system automatically manages the air conditioning, air flow and air intake, and provides optimum distribution towards the windscreen and side windows.) To stop the programme, press either the "visibility"
button again or "AUTO", the
warning lamp on the button goes off and
the warning lamp in the "AUTO"buttoncomes on.
The system rever ts to the previous settings.

Glove box


Its lid has locations for a pair of glasses... )To open the glove box, raise the handle.
It houses the front passenger's airbagdeactivation switch A.
If the vehicle is fitted with air conditioning, it provides access to the ventilation nozzle B , distributing the same conditioned air as the
vents in the passenger compartment.
It
gives access to the fusebox (see "Changing
a fuse").

Depending on version, your vehicle may be fitted with a second USB por t, located on thecentre console.
When in use, the USB por t / Jack auxiliar y
socket must not be used to char
ge apor table device (risk of overload).









USB port / Jack auxiliary socket
This connection box, consisting of a JACKauxiliary socket and a USB por t, is located on
the centre console.
It allows the connection of por table device, such as a digital audio player of the iPod ®type
or a USB memory stick.
It reads the audio file formats (MP3, OGG,
WMA , WAV, ...) which are transmitted to your audio system and played via the vehicle's speakers.
You can manage these files using the steeringmounted controls or the audio system controlpanel and display them in the instrument panelscreen.
When the U
SB por t is used, the por table device charges automatically.

Mats
Removable carpet protection.
When
fitting the mat for the first time, on the
driver's side use only the fixings provided in the
wallet attached.
The other mats are simply placed on the carpet.


Fitting

Removal

To remove the mat on the driver's side:)move the seat as far back as possible, )unclip the fixings, )remove the mat.
Refitting
To refit the mat on the driver's side: )
position the mat correctly,)
refit the fixings by pressing,)
check that the mat is secured correctly.
To avoid any risk of jamming of thepedals:- only use mats which are suited to the fixings already present in the vehicle; these fixings must be used, - never fit one mat on top of another.The use of mats not approved by PEUGEOT may inter fere with access to the pedals and hinder the operation of the cruise control / speed limiter.
