Place the jack 4in contact with one
of the four locating points Aon the
subframe, (the one which is clos
est to the wheel to be changed).
Extend the jack 4until its base is in
contact with the ground. Ensure
that the centre line of the base of
the jack is straight above the locat
ing point A.
Raise the vehicle.
Unscrew the bolts and remove the
wheel.
Fitting a wheel
Position the wheel using the cen
tralising tool to assist you.
Tighten the bolts by hand and
remove the centralising tool.
Partly tighten the bolts using the
wheelbrace 1.
Fold the jack 4 and remove it.
Fully tighten the bolts using the
wheelbrace 1.
Replace the wheel trim, starting
by placing the wheel trim notch
opposite the valve, and press it
on using the palm of the hand.
Put the tools and the wheel back
in the boot.
Note: a diagram on the holder indi
cates the location of the tools. .
Tighten the spare wheel securing
strap to prevent noise and for your
safety in the event of impact.

For your safety, always
change the wheel:
on level, stable, nonslippery ground,
with the handbrake on and the ignition switched off,
with first or reverse gear engaged (position Pfor the
automatic gearbox),
with the vehicle chocked.
Never go underneath a vehicle
that is supported only by a jack
(use a ramp)
After changing the wheel:
have the tightening of the bolts and the tyre pressure checked
by a PEUGEOT dealer as soon
as possible.
have the punctured tyre repaired and refit it to the vehicle
as soon as possible.

Tools
The following tools are located:
– in the righthand trim of the boot,
1 Wheelbrace.
2 Removable towing eye.
3 Socket for antitheft bolts.
– in the holder in the centre of the spare wheel,
4 Jack with handle.
5 Centralising tool.
6 Bolt cover tool.
7 Removable chock. Parking the vehicle
As far as possible, park the vehi
cle on level, stable and nonslip
pery ground.
Apply the handbrake, switch off
the ignition and engage first or
reverse gear (position Pfor the
automatic gearbox). Access to the spare wheel
Open the boot.
Open the flap using the lug to
release the winch and gain
access to its control nut.
Unscrew the nut fully, using the
wheelbrace 1, to unroll the winch
cable.

Fitting a wheel Position the wheel using the cen
tralising tool 5to assist you.
Tighten the bolts by hand and
remove the centralising tool 5.
Partly tighten the bolts using the
wheelbrace 1.
Fold the jack 4 and remove it.
Fully tighten the bolts using the
wheelbrace 1.
Replace the wheel trim, starting
by placing the wheel trim notch
opposite the valve, and press it
on using the palm of the hand.
Put the corresponding tools in the
holder and secure its cover.
Place the holder on the ground
and align the spare wheel on it.
Pass the notched hook into the
holder cover.
Refit the wheel under the vehicle
tightening the winch control nut
using the wheelbrace 1.
Fully tighten and check that the
wheel is horizontally flush
against the rear floor .
Close the flap using the lug to
lock the winch.
Store the rest of the tools in the
righthand trim of the boot. For your safety, always
change the wheel:
on level, stable, nonslippery ground,
with the handbrake on and the ignition switched off,
with first or reverse gear engaged (position Pfor the
automatic gearbox),
with the vehicle chocked.
Never go underneath a vehicle
that is supported only by a jack
(use a ramp).
Never refit the holder under the
vehicle without the spare
wheel.
After changing the wheel:
have the correct positioning of the punctured wheel, the tight
ening of the bolts and the tyre
pressure checked by a
PEUGEOT dealer as soon as
possible.
have the punctured tyre repaired and refit it to the vehicle
as soon as possible.
have the correct positioning of the spare wheel checked by a
PEUGEOT dealer.

TOWING YOUR VEHICLE
Without lifting (4 wheels on the ground)
You must always use a tow bar.
The removable towing eye is inside the spare wheel.
Estate: The removable towing eye is inside the righthand boot trim.
From the front: Unclip the cover, by pressing the bottom part,
Screw in the towing eye as far as it will go.
From the rear: Unclip the top of the cover using a coin,
Screw in the towing eye as far as it will go.
Lifting (2 wheels only on the ground)
It is preferable to raise the vehicle with a professional lif ting device. Special features of the
automatic gearbox
When towing with four wheels on the
ground, the following rules must be
obeyed:
lever in position

tow the vehicle at less than 30 mph (50 km/h) over a maximum dis
tance of 30 miles (50 km).
do not add oil to the gearbox.
