Unlocking
Press button Bto unlock the vehicle.
This is confirmed by rapid flashing
of the direction indica
tors.
Note : If the vehicle is
locked and unlocking
is then activated inad
vertently, the vehicle
will relock automatically unless a
door is opened within 30 seconds
of unlocking.
STARTING
STOP position:
The ignition is off.
1st notch,
Accessories position:
The ignition is off but the acces
sories can be used.
2nd notch, Running position:
The ignition is on.
Starting position:
Operates the starter.

THE KEYS
The keys allow you to switch on
the ignition and to independently
operate the locks on the front
doors, the fuel filler cap and the
glove box, as well as operate the
passenger air bag disarming
switch.
Central locking
From the driver's door, the keys
allow you to lock, deadlock or
unlock the doors and the boot
and to fold back the exterior mir
rors.
If one of the doors or the boot is
open, it is impossible to operate
the central locking; a bleep indi
cates locking by remote control.
The remote control performs
the same functions at a dis

Selecting a disc

Voice commands
The voice commands make it possible to use prerecorded words or phrases to control a certain number of functions of the
RT3 audio/telephone.
Activation of the voice commands
Press the button on the end of the lights stalk to activate this function.
Example: to recall the radio station stored on button 3, the key words are: "Radio" "Memory" "3" .
To use these key words, you must say the word "Radio", wait for the audible confirmation signal, then say the w ord
"Memory" , wait for the audible confirmation signal, then end wit h the word"3", wait for the audible confirmaton signal which
will carry out the action requested.
Notes:
in the absence of any voice commands, this function will be sw itched off after approximately ten seconds,
if a command is not understood, a double audible signal i s emitted.
Saying the word "Help"displays all of the commands available on the screen.

4. Air flow adjustment Turn the control from posi
tion 1to position 4to obtain
an air flow sufficient to
ensure your comfort.
5. Air intake Pressing button 5permits
recirculation of the interior
air. Recirculation, indicated
by illumination of the indica
tor light, prevents exterior odours
and smoke from entering the pas
senger compartment.
Used simultaneously with the air
conditioning, recirculation enables
heating and cooling performance to
be improved.
Used in a humid climate, recircula
tion may result in misting of the win
dows.
As soon as possible, switch button 5
to the outside air position, to prevent
deterioration of the air quality. The
indicator light switches off.
3. Air distribution adjustment
Windscreen and side win
dows (deicing/demisting).
To quickly deice or demist the wind
screen and side windows:
– Place the temperature and air flow controls to maximum,
– Close the centre vents,
– Switch air intake button 5to the
"Outside Air" position (button 5
released, indicator light off),
– Start the air conditioning by press ing the AC button.
Windscreen, side windows

Centre and side vents. 6. Demisting the rear screen and
the mirrors
With the engine running,
pressing the button once
demists the rear screen
and the mirrors.
This switches off automati
cally after approximately twelve min
utes. Pressing again activates
demisting for a further twelve min
utes.
It is possible to stop demisting by
pressing the button again before the
end of the twelve minutes.
Important precaution
Operate the air conditioning system
for 5 to 10 minutes, once or twice a
month, to keep it in perfect working
order.
If the system does not produce cold
air, do not use it and contact a
PEUGEOT dealer.
Note: to optimise the operation of
the air conditioning, leave the vents
open.
