3. Side vents.
4. Centre vents.
5. Air outlet to front footwells.

Advice on operation
F Place the air low control at a
level suficient to ensure a good
renewal of air in the passenger
compartment.
The
"OFF" position cuts off all the
air circulation in the passenger com-
partment.
Note: only use the "OFF" position
occasionally (risk of condensation).
F For perfectly even air distribution,
take care not to obstruct the ex-
terior air intake grilles, the vents
and the air ducts under the front
seats, as well as the air extractor
located in the boot. Check that the
passenger compartment ilter is in
good condition.

AUTOMATIC AIR CONDITIONING
Note: in the cabriolet version, the effectiveness of the system may be reduced.
Automatic operation
2. Automatic comfort program
Press the AUTO button. The
system automatically regu-
lates the temperature level of
the passenger compartment
in line with the value that you have
selected. To obtain the correct ambi-
ance, it controls the temperature, the
air low, the distribution and intake of
air as well as the air conditioning. For your comfort, the settings are
retained between two start-ups of
your vehicle if the temperature in
the passenger compartment has not
changed signiicantly; otherwise, op-
eration resumes in automatic mode.
3. Automatic visibility program
In certain cases, the auto-
matic comfort program may
prove inadequate to demist
or de-ice the windows (be-
cause of humidity, numerous passen-
gers, ice, etc.). Select this program to
rapidly clear the windows.
To exit this program and return to the
automatic comfort program, press
the
AUTO button.
Manual operation
If you wish you can make a different
choice from the one offered by the
system, by changing a setting. The
other functions will still be managed
automatically. Press the
AUTO but-
ton to return to completely automatic
operation.
1. Temperature setting
The value indicated on the
display corresponds to a
comfort level and not to a
temperature in degrees Cel-
sius or Fahrenheit.
Press the arrows
1 (up and down)
to change this value. A setting of ap-
proximately 21 allows a comfortable
setting to be obtained.

cooling of the air. The "ECO"
symbol lights up. Press

operation of the air conditioning. The
"
A/C" symbol is displayed.
Note

conditioning causes a normal low of
water under the vehicle when sta-
tionary.
To prevent condensation on the
inside of the vehicle in cold or wet
weather, you are advised to avoid
using the "
ECO" mode.
5. Air distribution
Successive presses of this
button allow the air low to be
directed alternately to:
- the windscreen (demisting or de- icing),

creased or reduced by
pressing the buttons
+
or - respectively.
7. Air intake 8. Disarming the system
The OFF button disarms all
of the system's functions.
Temperature-related comfort
is no longer guaranteed but
a minimal low of air is maintained to
avoid misting of the windows and to
renew the air.
Pressing the
OFF, AUTO or "vis-
ibility" button again reactivates the
system with the values set before it
was disarmed.
Note: if you wish to cut off the low
of air completely, press the air intake
button
7.
9. De-icing the rear window and the mirrors
Press this button to de-ice
the rear screen and the mir-
rors. The de-icing system
switches off automatically. It
is possible to stop the de-icing before
it switches off automatically by press-
ing the button again.
Note: this function is disarmed when
the roof is stored in the boot.
Important precaution
Operate the air conditioning system
for 5 to 10 minutes, once or twice a
month, to keep it in perfect working
order.
If the system does not produce cold
air, do not use it and contact your
PEUGEOT dealer.
Press this button to recycle
the interior air. Recirculation,
shown on the display, pre-
vents the entry of unpleasant
odours and fumes
from the outside.
Avoid prolonged recirculation of the
interior air. To do this, press again

4- Driver's or passenger's seat height adjustment
Pull the handle upwards or push it
downwards as many times as neces-
sary to obtain the required position.
To remove the head restraint:
- place it in the top position then lower it by a few millimetres,
- lift the lug using a coin,
- keep this lug in the lifted position and pull the head restraint.
To put it back in position, locate the
stems of the restraint in the holes,
taking care to keep them in line with
the seat back.
REAR HEAD RESTRAINTS
The rear head restraints are ixed and
cannot be adjusted. They incorporate
pop-up roll-over hoops which are trig-
gered if the vehicle rolls over, in both
the coupé and the cabriolet position,
to guarantee your protection.
Do not place any clothing
on the rear head restraints.
Use a special cover recom-
mended by your PEUGEOT
dealer.
Following an accident, have
the roll-over hoops checked by a
PEUGEOT dealer.
Active seat back
(front seats)
This possesses a device to prevent
"whiplash".
When there is an impact from the
rear, the action of the body on the
seat back forces the head restraint
forwards and upwards, preventing
the head being thrown backwards.
The adjustment is correct when
the upper edge of the head re-
straint is level with the top of the
head.
Never drive with the head
restraints removed; they
must be in place and cor-
rectly adjusted.
5- Head restraint height and angle adjustment
To raise or lower the restraint, pull it
forwards, sliding it at the same time.
