THE ALARM
This provides two types of protec-
tion:
- exterior protection :
it sounds if
a door, the boot or the bonnet is
opened.
- interior protection : it sounds if
the volume inside the passenger
compartment changes (breaking of
a window or a movement inside the
vehicle).
Note: the interior protection alarm
does not function if the vehicle's roof
is open (cabriolet position). When the alarm is triggered, the siren
sounds and the direction indicator
lights lash for thirty seconds.
After triggering, the alarm remains
set.
F
Switch off the ignition,
F In the next ten seconds, press
button A until the indicator light is
on continuously,
F Get out of the vehicle,
F Set the alarm by locking or
deadlocking using the remote
control (button A indicator light
lashes once a second).
In order for the alarm to be set in
this mode, these operations must be
carried out each time the ignition is
switched off.
Setting the alarm
F Switch off the ignition and get out
of the vehicle.
F Set the alarm by locking or
deadlocking using the remote
control (button A indicator light
lashes once per second).
Note : if you wish to lock your vehicle
without setting the alarm, use the
door lock.
Disarming
Unlock the vehicle with the remote
control key (button A indicator light
goes out).
Note : if the alarm has been triggered
while you were away from your
vehicle, the rapid lashing of the
indicator light will stop when you
switch on the ignition.
To set the alarm with exterior
protection only
If, while you are away from the vehicle,
you wish to leave a window partially
open or a pet inside the vehicle, you
should choose exterior protection only.
Incorrect operation
When the ignition is switched on, if
button A lights for ten seconds, there
is a fault in the siren connection.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to have
the system checked.
Automatic activation*
The alarm is activated automatically
two minutes after the last closure of a
door or the boot.
In order to avoid accidental triggering
of the alarm when a door or the boot
is opened, it is essential to irst press
the unlocking button on the remote
control.
* According to country.
If the alarm has been
triggered ten times in
succession, on the eleventh
time it becomes inactive.
If button
A indicator light lashes rapidly,
the alarm has been triggered while you
were away from your vehicle.
45 seconds following pressing of the
locking button on the remote control,
the alarm is set, regardless of the
status of the doors or boot.
When washing your vehicle, to avoid
triggering the alarm:
- lock the doors using the key,
or
- set the exterior protection alarm only.
Failure of the remote control
F Unlock the door with the key and
open it. The alarm is triggered.
F Switch on the ignition. The alarm
is disarmed.

ELECTRIC WINDOWS
1. Driver's electric window switch.
2. Passenger's electric window switch.
3. Rear right electric window switch.
4. Rear left electric window switch.
5. Disarming of the rear electric window switches (child lock). You have two options:
Manual operation:
Press or pull the switch gently.
The window stops as soon as the
switch is released.
Automatic operation:
Press or pull the switch fully: the
window opens or closes completely
when the switch is released.
Pressing the switch again stops the
movement of the window.
Front windows safety auto-
reverse
When the window rises and meets
an obstacle, it stops and partially
lowers again.
Disarming the rear window
controls
For the safety of your children, press
switch
5 to prevent operation of the
rear windows irrespective of their
position.
When the button is lowered, the
controls are active.
When the button is raised, the
controls are disarmed.
Notes:
Approximately 45 seconds following
removal of the ignition key, none
of the windows can be opened or
closed. The ignition must be switched
on again to permit opening or closing
of the windows.
The rear windows do not close
automatically. Note:

In the event of unwanted opening of
the window on closing (for example
in the presence of frost), press the
switch until it opens completely, then
pull it immediately until it closes.
Continue to hold the switch for
approximately one second after the
window has closed.
The safety auto-reverse function
is not active during these
operations.

SIMULTANEOUS CONTROL
OF ALL 4 WINDOWS
Control 6 opens or closes all of the
windows simultaneously.
To disarm the action of control 6,
press the rear windows disarming
control 5.
Operation of the simulta-
neous control of all four
windows is the sole respon-
sibility of the driver.
REINITIALISING THE
ELECTRIC WINDOWS
Following reconnection of the battery
or in the event of a malfunction:
- release the switch and pull it again until it closes completely,
- hold the switch for approximately one second after closing,
- press the control to lower the window automatically,
- when the window has reached the low position, press the switch again
for approximately one second.
The safety auto-reverse function
is not active during these opera-
tions.
Always remove the key
from the ignition when lea-
ving the vehicle, even for a
short time.
In the event of contact
during operation of the windows, you
must reverse the movement of the
window. To do this, press the switch
concerned.
When the driver operates the
passenger electric window switches,
he must ensure that no one is
preventing correct closing of the
windows.
The driver must ensure that the
passengers use the electric windows
correctly.
Be aware of children when operating
the windows.

"Door open" alert
If a door has not been closed
properly:
- when the engine is running ,
you are warned by a diagram and
a message on the multifunction
display for a few seconds,
- when the vehicle is moving
(speed above 6 mph (10 km/h)),
the service warning light comes on.
This is accompanied by an audible
signal, a diagram and a message
on the multifunction display for a
few seconds. Opening the doors from inside
The door opening controls do
not function when the vehicle is
deadlocked.
THE DOORS
Opening the doors from outside
When you place your hand behind
the handle, the window automatically
lowers by a few millimetres. It rises
again after a few seconds and
adjusts automatically on closing to
provide perfect sealing.
Note:
when the vehicle is unlocked,
if you leave your hand on the handle
for more than 5 seconds, the window
rises again. Remove your hand to
reactivate the system. Reinitialisation of the automatic
partial opening of the door
windows
Carry out this operation following
reconnection of the battery and
reinitialisation of the electric windows
(see corresponding section):
F
partially open the door,
F close the door,
F wait for a few seconds,
F place your hand behind the
handle, the window automatically
lowers by a few millimetres.
Before carrying out any
work which requires
cutting off of the battery,
lower the windows to
make it easier to open
and close the doors.
In the event of a battery cut-off, it
is still possible to open the doors.
However, it is imperative that the
door is not slammed on closing.
It will be necessary to reinitialise the
window controls and the automatic
partial opening of the door windows.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer as soon
as possible.
When washing your
vehicle:
- do not forget to lock it to avoid any risk of automatic partial
opening of the windows,
- avoid soaking the upper part of the windows.

Locking / Unlocking from the
inside
Pressing button A permits:
- locking of the vehicle,
- unlocking of the vehicle (and in particular the boot) if you place the
key in the switch.
The red indicator light on the button
comes on when the vehicle is locked
and is switched off when the vehicle
is unlocked.
Note: if the vehicle is locked or
deadlocked from the outside, the red
indicator light lashes and button A is
inoperative. In this case, use the key
or the remote control to unlock. Automatic central locking of the
doors
The doors lock automatically when
driving [speed greater than 6 mph
(10 km/h)].
Above 6 mph (10 km/h), a brief press
on button
A momentarily unlocks the
doors.
You can activate or disarm this
function.
Activation
Press and hold button A.
Activation of the function is accom-
panied by a message on the multi-
function display.
Disarming
Press and hold button A.
Disarming of the function is accom-
panied by a message on the multi-
function display.
Notes
If one of the doors is open, the
automatic central locking and locking
from the inside do not function.
If the boot is open, the automatic
central locking of the doors is active.
MANUAL LOCKING /
UNLOCKING (EMERGENCY
MODE)
Driver's door
Insert the key in the lock to lock or
unlock the door.
Passenger's door
- to lock, insert the key in the lock (located on the edge of the door)
then turn an eighth of a turn to the
left.
- to unlock, use the interior door opening control (see corresponding
section).
Boot
The boot is locked, contact a
PEUGEOT dealer.

Vehicle unlocked
F Press button D on the remote
control to partially open the boot,
or press button E on the boot.
Note : if you have unlocked the
vehicle using the key, pressing
the remote control deactivates the
alarm. The boot locks automatically when
driving above 6 mph (10 km/h). It
unlocks when one of the doors is
opened or when the interior central
locking/unlocking button is pressed,
with the key in the switch (speed
below 6 mph [10 km/h]).
To protect the boot against theft,
button
E can be disarmed. Turn the
lock F a quarter of a turn to the right
using the key.
The boot can only be opened using
the remote control.
BOOT
Opening the boot
Vehicle locked / deadlocked
F Press button D on the remote
control to unlock and partially
open the boot.
This action will also unlock the
doors. "Boot open" warning
If the tailgate is not properly closed:
-
with the engine running , you
are warned by a diagram and
a message on the multifunction
display for a few seconds,
- when the vehicle is moving
(speed above 6 mph (10 km/h)),
the service warning light comes
on. It is accompanied by an audible
signal, a diagram and a message
on the multifunction display for a
few seconds.
Closing the boot
F Use the interior grab handles to
close the boot.
F Press the centre of the boot with
both hands until it locks.

THE RETRACTABLE ROOF
Before operating the roof
F It is advisable to park the vehicle
on horizontal ground; however,
it is possible to carry out the
operation at a speed below 6 mph
(10km/h).
F Ensure that the screen 1 is
hooked on securely
F Check that no object could hinder
the movement of the roof:
- no objects should be placed on the rear parcel shelf, on the screen 1
or on or near the hinged covers 2,
- if luggage is transported in the boot, this must not push the
screen upwards,
- any object placed in the boot, such as a jacket or an umbrella,
must be retained by the luggage
retaining net 3 to avoid it becoming
trapped by the boot sill 4.
F Close the boot correctly.
F Turn the ignition switch to the
running position. It is advisable
to carry out the operation with
the engine running .When carrying out this manoeuvre,
the four windows lower, the boot
opens, the hinged covers unfold,
the roof folds up and stores itself in
the boot, the moving shelf positions
itself, then the boot closes.
Notes:
if you continue to pull
button 5 once the cycle is complete,
the four windows rise again.
The control buttons for the windows
become operational again at the end
of the roof operation.
Opening the roof
F
Carry out the preparatory
operations, indicated opposite.
F Then, pull switch 5 until the roof
opening operation is complete,
conirmed by an audible signal and
a message on the multifunction
display.

Closing the roof
F Carry out the preparatory opera-
tions, indicated on the previous
page.
F Then, press button 5 until the roof
closing operation is complete,
conirmed by an audible signal and
a message on the multifunction
display. When carrying out this manoeuvre,
the four windows lower, the boot
opens, the moving shelf and the roof
unfold and position themselves, the
hinged covers fold, then the boot
closes.
Note:
if you continue to press
button 5 once the cycle is complete,
the four windows rise again.
The control buttons for the windows
become operational again at the end
of the roof operation. In the case of an electric or hydraulic
malfunction of the roof, switch off the
ignition, restart the engine, then start
the required operation again.
If the problem persists, it is possible
to close the roof manually.
To do this, please consult the
breakdown procedure described
at the end of this handbook (roof
emergency mode).
During roof opening and
closing operations, to avoid
any risk of injury, ensure
that there is no-one in the
proximity of the moving
parts.
Operation of the roof is the sole
responsibility of the driver.
After rain or washing the vehicle, it is
advisable to wait for the roof to dry
before opening it.
To guarantee correct operation,
do not release button 5 when the
roof is in an intermediate position
(neither completely open nor
completely closed). However, in
the event of danger, release the
control knob and the operation will
stop instantly. Once the danger
has been eliminated, complete the
operation.

The engine must be switched off
when illing with fuel.
F Open the fuel iller lap.
F Insert the key then turn it to the
left.
F Remove the cap and hang it on
the hook located on the inside of
the lap.
A label afixed to the inside of the fuel
iller lap indicates which type of fuel
to use.
When you ill your tank, do not
continue after the third cut-off of the
pump. This could cause your vehicle
to malfunction.
The capacity of the tank is ap-
proximately 60 litres.
F After illing the tank, lock the cap
and close the fuel iller lap.
FILLING WITH FUEL
Low fuel level
When the minimum
fuel level in the
tank is reached, this
warning light comes
on on the instrument
panel.
You can still drive approximately
30 miles (50 km). Operating fault
With the ignition on, if the fuel gauge
needle remains in or returns to
the rest positon (below zero), this
indicates a malfunction of the fuel
gauge.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
