AUDIO SYSTEM
Presentation
Your 307 CC is itted with a JBL Hi-Fi
system, designed speciically for the
vehicle’s passenger compartment.
At the heart of the system, a
240 Watt multifunction ampliier
(1), located behind the rear seat
back, independently controls
10 high acoustic deinition
speakers.
This system makes it possible
to obtain optimum reproduction
and distribution of the sound in
the vehicle, in the front and in the
rear, in the coupé version and in
the cabriolet version.
The speakers are located:
- in the fascia: two Tweeters (2)
itted in two Medium Range
Speakers (3) for clear and head-
on reproduction of the sound,
favouring listening in the front;
- in the front doors: two Woofers (4)
for reproduction of the bass (low
frequencies) in the front;
- in the passenger pillars: two Tweeters (5) itted in two
Subwoofers (6) for reproduction
of the extreme bass sounds (low
and very low frequencies) as well
as reproduction of the medium
range frequencies throughout the
passenger compartment. You will appreciate the clarity and
depth, noticing that the sound ills
the vehicle perfectly.
However, to beneit fully from your
JBL Hi-Fi system, you are advised
to adjust the AUDIO functions
(Bass, Treble, Front/rear balance,
Left/right balance)
to the central
position, select the musical ambience
«None» and set the Loudness to the
« ON » position in CD mode and to the
« OFF » position in radio mode.
Adjustment in the CD and radio
modes
The basic functions remain those of
the audio equipment.
No additional adjustment is required.

CONTROL PANEL AND
FUNCTIONS LINKED WITH
THE RT3
The RT3 is a GPS audio/telephone,
power 4x35W, with a single CD player
and a hands-free type telephone on
the front panel.
This is itted with:
- a special socket for connection of the CD changer,
- 6 speakers (2 tweeters, 2 woofers and 2 broad band),
- a Radio / CD / CD Changer / Trip Computer / Telephone / Navigation
control panel,
- a tuner with 18 FM memories (3 wavebands) and 6 AM memo-
ries,
- a processor for digital processing of the sound, "DSP" (Digital Sound
Processor).
Anti-theft system
The RT3 GPS audio/telephone is
coded in such a way that it can
only work in your vehicle. If you
wish to install it in another vehicle,
contact your PEUGEOT dealer for
coniguration of the system.
The anti-theft system is automatic.
No action on your part is required.
CD player
With direct digital play.
If the function is active, interruption by
Trafic Information (TA) or telephone
is possible.
Radio
With RDS / REG / EON / TA / PTY
functions.
Radio Text compatible.
5 disc CD changer
With random play and playing of the
beginning of tracks functions.
If the function is active, interruption by
Trafic Information (TA) or telephone
is possible.

few seconds without any action.

are indicated on the following pages. This allows you direct and easy
access to most of the audio and
telematic functions which are also
available on the audio/telephone
control panel.

Voice commands
The voice commands enable you to
control a certain number of functions
of the RT3 GPS audio/telephone
by means of pre-recorded words or
phrases.
The list of voice commands available
appears when the "MENU" button is
pressed for more than two seconds.
Activation of the voice commands
From the general menu , select
the "Coniguration" menu, then
"Sound" to activate or deactivate
their use and set their volume. Example:
to recall the radio station
stored on button 3, the key words
are: "Radio" "Memory" "3".
In order to use these key words, you
must say the word "Radio", wait for
the audible conirmation signal, then
say the word "Memory", wait for the
audible conirmation signal, then end
with the word "3", wait for the audible
conirmation signal which will carry
out the action required.
Notes:
- between saying one key word and the next, a screen indicates the
time remaining and the key word
recognised,
- if no voice commands are given, this function will be deactivated
after approximately ive seconds,
- if the system does not understand, it says "Pardon" and displays "Word
not recognised" on the screen. Recording a description
associated with a directory ile
When a description is associated
with a directory ile, you can record
the description vocally so that it
can be used later for direct access
by means of voice commands
(e.g.:
"Call" "[Name of voice
description]" or "Guide to" "[Name
of voice description]" ).
Select "Consult or change the ile" on
the menu "Management of directory
iles" to gain access to the description
inputting and recording screen.
Press the record button and follow
the instructions.
Use of the voice commands
Before saying a description, press
the end of the lights stalk to start the
voice recognition.
Press again to switch it off.

List of voice commands available
The key words which can be
recognised by the system are
organised in three levels (levels 1,
2 and 3).
When you say a level 1 command, the
system makes the level 2 commands
available; when you say a level 2
command, the system makes the
level 3 commands available.
The level 1 commands are:
RADIO / CD PLAYER / CHANGER /
TELEPHONE / SMS / MESSAGE /
TRAFFIC INFO / CALL (a person
recorded in the directory) /
NAVIGATION / GUIDANCE / GUIDE
TO (guidance to the address of a
person recorded in the directory) /
DISPLAY (change of permanent
application).
Saying the words HELP or WHAT
CAN I SAY
displays all of the
commands available on the screen.
Saying the word CANCEL cancels all
of the voice commands.
Miscellaneous words: STOP /

General functions
On/offPress the button
to switch the audio
function of the RT3
GPS audio/telephone
on or off.
The RT3 GPS
audio/telephone can operate for
approximately 30 minutes without
the vehicle’s ignition being switched
on, under normal conditions of use
and maintenance of the battery.
After the ignition has been switched
off, the audio/telephone can be
switched on again by pressing the
«TEL» (green) button or by inserting
a CD in the player.
Adjusting the volume
Turn the dial clockwise to increase
the volume of the audio/telephone or
anti-clockwise to decrease it.
The volume setting is speciic to each
source. It is possible to have different
settings for radio, CD or CD changer,
telephone or voice synthesiser. Audio settings

Bass, treble and loudness settings
are speciic to each source. It is
possible to have different settings for
radio, CD or CD changer.
Musical ambience
This function permits the selection
of a musical ambience: «None»,
«Classical», «Jazz-Blues», «Pop-
Rock», «Techno» or «Vocal».
Select the musical ambience using
the navigator.
Selecting a musical ambience sets
the bass and treble automatically.
Selecting «None» permits access to
all of the settings deined below. Adjusting the Bass
When «Bass» is displayed, vary the
setting using the navigator:
- «-9» for minimum bass setting
- mid-way for normal bass setting
- «+9» for maximum bass setting
Adjusting the Treble
When «Treble» is displayed, vary the
setting using the navigator:
- «-9» for minimum treble setting
- mid-way for normal setting
- «+9» for maximum treble setting
Adjusting the loudness
The loudness automatically empha-
sises bass and treble tones when the
volume is low.
Switch the function on or off using
the navigator.

Setting the right/left sound
distribution
When «Left - Right Balance» is
displayed, vary the setting using the
navigator:
- clockwise to increase the volume on the right,
- anti-clockwise to increase the volume on the left.
Setting the rear/front sound
distribution
When «Rear - Front Balance» is
displayed, vary the setting using the
navigator:
- clockwise to increase the volume in the front,
- anti-clockwise to increase the volume in the rear.
Automatic volume adjustment
This function allows the volume to
be adjusted automatically depending
on the level of noise produced by the
speed of the vehicle.
Switch the function on or off using
the navigator.Radio
Notes on radio reception
The quality of the radio reception is
subject to external phenomena, due
to the nature of the signals and the
way in which they are transmitted.
Both MW/LW and FM are subject to
various forms of interference. This is
not a relection on the quality of the
equipment.
On MW/LW interference may be
noticed when passing under high
voltage power lines or bridges, or in
tunnels.
On FM, interference may be the
result of increasing distance from
the transmitter, delection of the
signals by obstacles (mountains,
hills, buildings, etc.) or of being in
an area which is not covered by a
transmitter.
Selecting radio mode Press the «SOURCE»
button several times. Selecting a waveband
Briely press the
«BAND AST» button
several times to select
the FM1, FM2 , FMast
and AM wavebands.
Automatic station search
Briely press button 7 or 8 to
search for the station immediately
below or above.
The search stops at the irst station
found.
If the TA trafic information
programme is selected, only the
most powerful stations broadcasting
this type of programme are selected.
Searching for a station occurs irst
in «LO» sensitivity (selection of
the most powerful transmitters)
during scanning of the waveband,
then in «DX» sensitivity (selection
of the weaker and more distant
transmitters).
To make a direct search in «DX»
sensitivity, briely press button 7 or
8 twice.

Setting the right/left sound
distribution
When «Left - Right Balance» is
displayed, vary the setting using the
navigator:
