ACCESS
This provides two types of protection:
-
exterior protection: it sounds if a door,
the boot or the bonnet is opened.
- interior protection: it sounds if
the volume inside the passenger
compartment changes (breaking
of a window or a movement in-
side the vehicle).

Note: the interior protection alarm
does not function if the vehicle's roof
is open (cabriolet position). When the alarm is triggered, the si-
ren sounds and the direction indica-
tor lights l ash for thirty seconds.
After triggering, the alarm remains set.

 Switch off the ignition,

 In the next ten seconds, press
button A until the indicator light is
on continuously,

 Get out of the vehicle,

 Set the alarm by locking or dead-
locking using the remote control
(button A indicator light l ashes
once a second).
In order for the alarm to be set in
this mode, these operations must be
carried out each time the ignition is
switched off.
Setting the alarm

 Switch off the ignition and get out
of the vehicle.

 Set the alarm by locking or dead-
locking using the remote control
(button A indicator light l ashes
once per second).

Note: if you wish to lock your vehi-
cle without setting the alarm, use the
door lock.
Disarming
Unlock the vehicle with the remote control
key (button A indicator light goes out).

Note: if the alarm has been triggered
while you were away from your vehicle,
the rapid l ashing of the indicator light will
stop when you switch on the ignition.
To set the alarm with exterior
protection only
If, while you are away from the vehi-
cle, you wish to leave a window par-
tially open or a pet inside the vehicle,
you should choose exterior protec-
tion only.
Incorrect operation
When the ignition is switched on, if
button A lights for ten seconds, there
is a fault in the siren connection.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to have
the system checked.
Automatic activation *
The alarm is activated automatically two
minutes after the last closure of a door
or the boot.
In order to avoid accidental triggering
of the alarm when a door or the boot is
opened, it is essential to i rst press the
unlocking button on the remote control.
Failure of the remote control

 Unlock the door with the key and
open it. The alarm is triggered.

 Switch on the ignition. The alarm
is disarmed.
ALARM
If button A indicator light l ashes rapid-
ly, the alarm has been triggered while
you were away from your vehicle.
45 seconds following pressing of the
locking button on the remote control,
the alarm is set, regardless of the
status of the doors or boot.
When washing your vehicle, to avoid
triggering the alarm:
- lock the doors using the key,
or
-
set the exterior protection alarm only.
If the alarm has been triggered ten
times in succession, on the elev-
enth time it becomes inactive.

1. Driver's electric window
switch.

2. Passenger's electric window

3. Rear right electric window

4. Rear left electric window

5. Disarming of the rear electric
window switches (child lock). You have two options:
Manual operation:
Press or pull the switch gently. The
window stops as soon as the switch
is released.
Front windows safety auto-
reverse
When the window rises and meets
an obstacle, it stops and partially
lowers again.
Disarming the rear window
controls
For the safety of your children, press
switch
5 to prevent operation of the
rear windows irrespective of their po-
sition.
When the button is lowered, the con-
trols are active.
When the button is raised, the con-
trols are disarmed.
Automatic operation:
Press or pull the switch fully: the
window opens or closes completely
when the switch is released.
Pressing the switch again stops the
movement of the window.
Note:
In the event of unwanted opening
of the window on closing (for exam-
ple in the presence of frost), press
the switch until it opens completely,
then pull it immediately until it clos-
es. Continue to hold the switch for
approximately one second after the
window has closed.

The safety auto-reverse function
is not active during these opera-
tions.
ELECTRIC WINDOWS
Notes:
Approximately 45 seconds following
removal of the ignition key or the open-
ing of a door, none of the windows can
be opened or closed. The ignition must
be switched on again to permit open-
ing or closing of the windows.
The rear windows do not close auto-
matically.

Control 6 opens or closes all of the
windows simultaneously.
To disarm the action of control 6 ,
press the rear windows disarming
control 5 .
REINITIALISING THE
ELECTRIC WINDOWS
Following reconnection of the battery
or in the event of a malfunction:
- release the switch and pull it
again until it closes completely,
- hold the switch for approximately one second after closing,
- press the control to lower the win- dow automatically,
- when the window has reached the low position, press the switch again
for approximately one second.

The safety auto-reverse function is
not active during these operations.
SIMULTANEOUS CONTROL
OF ALL 4 WINDOWS
Operation of the simultaneous
control of all four windows is the
sole responsibility of the driver. Always remove the key from the
ignition when leaving the vehi-
cle, even for a short time.
In the event of contact during
operation of the windows, you
must reverse the movement of
the window. To do this, press the
switch concerned.
When the driver operates the
passenger electric window
switches, he must ensure that
no one is preventing correct
closing of the windows.
The driver must ensure that the
passengers use the electric win-
dows correctly.
Be aware of children when oper-
ating the windows.

"Door open" alert
If a door has not been closed properly:
- when the engine is running,
you are warned by a diagram and
a message on the multifunction
display for a few seconds,
- when the vehicle is moving
(speed above 6 mph (10 km/h)),
the service warning light comes
on. This is accompanied by an
audible signal, a diagram and a
message on the multifunction dis-
play for a few seconds. The door opening controls do not
function when the vehicle is dead-
locked.
Opening the doors from outside
When you place your hand behind
the handle, the window automatically
lowers by a few millimetres. It rises
again after a few seconds and ad-
justs automatically on closing to pro-
vide perfect sealing.

Note: when the vehicle is unlocked,
if you leave your hand on the handle
for more than 5 seconds, the window
rises again. Remove your hand to re-
activate the system. Reinitialisation of the automatic
partial opening of the door
windows
Carry out this operation following re-
connection of the battery and reini-
tialisation of the electric windows
(see corresponding section):

 partially open the door,

 close the door,

 wait for a few seconds,

 place your hand behind the han-
dle, the window automatically
lowers by a few millimetres.
THE DOORS Opening the doors from inside

Before carrying out any work
which requires cutting off of
the battery, lower the windows
to make it easier to open and
close the doors.
In the event of a battery cut-off,
it is still possible to open the
doors. However, it is imperative
that the door is not slammed on
closing.
It will be necessary to reinitial-
ise the window controls and the
automatic partial opening of the
door windows.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer as
soon as possible.

When washing your vehicle:
- do not forget to lock it to
avoid any risk of automat-
ic partial opening of the
windows,
- avoid soaking the upper
part of the windows.

When washing your vehicle
using high pressure equip-
ment, it is advisable to keep
the end of the nozzle at least
1 metre from the windows and
door seals.

Pressing button A permits:
- locking of the vehicle,
- unlocking of the vehicle (and in particular the boot) if you place
the key in the switch.
The red indicator light on the button
comes on when the vehicle is locked
and is switched off when the vehicle
is unlocked.

Note: if the vehicle is locked or dead-
locked from the outside, the red in-
dicator light l ashes and button A is
inoperative. In this case, use the key
or the remote control to unlock.
Automatic central locking of
the doors
The doors lock automatically when
driving [speed greater than 6 mph
(10 km/h)].
Above 6 mph (10 km/h), a brief press
on button A momentarily unlocks the
doors.
You can activate or disarm this function.
Activation
Press and hold button A .
Activation of the function is accom-
panied by a message on the multi-
function display.
Disarming
Press and hold button A .
Disarming of the function is accom-
panied by a message on the multi-
function display.
Notes
If one of the doors is open, the au-
tomatic central locking and locking
from the inside do not function.
If the boot is open, the automatic
central locking of the doors is active.
Driver's door
Insert the key in the lock to lock or
unlock the door.
Passenger's door
- to lock, insert the key in the lock (located on the edge of the door)
then turn an eighth of a turn to
the right.
- to unlock, use the interior door opening control (see correspond-
ing section).
Boot
The boot is locked, contact a PEUGEOT
dealer.

Vehicle locked/deadlocked

 Press button D on the remote
control to unlock and partially
open the boot.
This action will also unlock the
doors. To protect the boot against theft, button

E can be disarmed. Turn the lock F a
quarter turn to the right using the key.
The boot can only be opened using
the remote control.
Opening the boot "Boot open" warning
If the tailgate is not properly closed:
- with the engine running , you
are warned by a diagram and a
message on the multifunction dis-
play for a few seconds,
- when the vehicle is moving
(speed above 6 mph (10 km/h)),
the service warning light comes
on. It is accompanied by an audi-
ble signal, a diagram and a mes-
sage on the multifunction display
for a few seconds.
Closing the boot

 Use the interior grab handles to
close the boot.

 Press the centre of the boot with
both hands until it locks.
BOOT Permanent locking
Automatic locking
The boot locks automatically when
driving above 6 mph (10 km/h).
It unlocks either:
- manually by pressing the interior central locking/unlocking button,
- automatically when one of the doors is opened.
For this to take place, the key must
be in the ignition and button E
must not have been disarmed by
means of the lock F. Following automatic locking, if
the key is removed from the ig-
nition before a door is opened or
before the interior central lock-
ing/unlocking button is pressed,
the boot remains locked and
cannot be opened by pressing
button
E .

In all cases, the boot can still
be unlocked by pressing but-
ton D on the remote control.
Vehicle unlocked

 Press button D on the remote
control to partially open the boot,
or press button E on the boot.

Note: if you have unlocked the ve-
hicle using the key, pressing the re-
mote control deactivates the alarm.

The engine must be switched off
when i lling with fuel.

 Open the fuel i ller l ap.

 Insert the key then turn it to the
left.

 Remove the cap and hang it on
the hook located on the inside of
the l ap.
A label afi xed to the inside of the fuel
i ller l ap indicates which type of fuel
to use.
When you i ll your tank, do not con-
tinue after the third cut-off of the
pump. This could cause your vehicle
to malfunction.

The capacity of the tank is approx-
imately 60 litres.

 After i lling the tank, lock the cap
and close the fuel i ller l ap.
Low fuel level
When the minimum
fuel level in the tank
is reached, this warn-
ing light comes on on
the instrument panel.

You can still drive approximately
30 miles (50 km). Operating fault
With the ignition on, if the fuel gauge
needle remains in or returns to the
rest position (below zero), this in-
dicates a malfunction of the fuel
gauge.

VISIBILITY
Front and rear lights (Ring A)
Place ring A in the required position. Dipped/Main beam change
Pull the stalk towards you.
Lights off
Side lights Dipped/Main beam
headlamps Front fog lamps (1st for-
wards turn of the ring)
The front fog lamps operate with the
side lights and dipped headlamps. Front fog lamps and
rear fog lamp (2nd
forwards turn of the
ring)

Note: to switch off the rear fog lamp
and the front fog lamps, turn the ring
twice backwards.
Front fog lamps and rear fog
lamp (ring B)
Turn ring B forwards to switch on and
backwards to switch off. The status is
coni rmed by the light on the instru-
ment panel.
Lights on buzzer
With the ignition off and the automat-
ic switching on of the lights deactivat-
ed, when the driver's door is opened,
a buzzer sounds to warn you that you
have left your lights on.
The rear fog lamp will be deacti-
vated automatically when towing.
In good or rainy weather, both
day and night, the front fog
lamps and the rear fog lamp are
dazzling and are prohibited.
Do not forget to switch them off
when they are no longer needed.

VISIBILITY
Automatic switching on of the
lights
Side lights and dipped beam head-
lamps switch on automatically if the
light is poor, or during operation of
the windscreen wipers. They switch
off as soon as the light becomes
bright enough or the windscreen wip-
ers stop.

Note: in foggy weather or in snow,
the brightness sensor can detect suf-
i cient light. As a consequence, the
lights will not come on automatically.
Manual "Follow-me-home" lighting

When the automatic switching on of
the lights function is deactivated , the
side lights and dipped headlamps re-
main on for the duration selected for the
automatic "follow-me-home" lighting.

If the vehicle is not i tted with the
automatic switching on of the lights
function , when you leave your vehi-
cle, the side lights and dipped head-
lamps remain on for thirty seconds.
Direction indicators (l ashers)

Left: downwards.

Right: upwards.

Note: if you forget to cancel the di-
rection indicator, the volume of the
audible signal will increase, if you
are driving at a speed greater than
50 mph (80 km/h).
Automatic "Follow-me-home"
lighting
With the ignition off, when you leave
your vehicle with the automatic
switching on of the lights function
activated , the side lights and dipped
headlamps remain on for the select-
ed duration. Activation:

 switch off the engine,

 "l ash" the headlamps,

 get out of the vehicle and lock it.
Deactivation:

 "l ash" the headlamps again,

 get out of the vehicle and lock it.
To deactivate or activate
this function, go to the mul-
tifunction display coni gura-
tion menu.
The duration of the timed
period must also be set (15, 30,
60 seconds), via the multifunction
display coni guration menu.
Cancelling:

 "l ash" the headlamps,

 get out of the vehicle and lock it. Activation

 Turn ring A to the "AUTO" posi-
tion. The automatic lighting is ac-
companied by a message on the
multifunction display.
Deactivation

 Turn ring A to a position other
than "AUTO" . Switching off is ac-
companied by a message on the
multifunction display.

If the brightness sensor does not
function correctly, the lights come
on accompanied by the service
warning light, an audible signal and
a message on the multifunction dis-
play.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Do not cover the brightness sen-
sor, coupled with the rain sensor,
located in the centre of the wind-
screen, behind the interior mir-
ror. It is used for the automatic
switching on of the lights.
