FAMILIARISATION
A. When the ignition is on, the
needle should indicate the level
of fuel remaining.
B. When the engine is running, the
a s s o c i a t e d l o w l e v e l w a r n i n g
l i g h t s h o u l d s w i t c h o f f .
C. When the ignition is on, the
oil level indicator should
d i s p l a y "OIL OK" f o r a f e w
seconds.
I f t h e l e v e l s a r e n o t c o r r e c t , t o p u p a s
necessary.

ACCESS
T h i s p r o v i d e s t w o t y p e s o f p r o t e c t i o n :
-
exterior protection: it sounds if a door,
t h e b o o t o r t h e b o n n e t i s o p e n e d .
- interior protection: it sounds if
t h e v o l u m e i n s i d e t h e p a s s e n g e r
c o m p a r t m e n t c h a n g e s ( b r e a k i n g
o f a w i n d o w o r a m o v e m e n t i n -
side the vehicle).
Note: t h e i n t e r i o r p r o t e c t i o n a l a r m
does not function if the vehicle's roof
i s o p e n ( c a b r i o l e t p o s i t i o n ) . W h e n t h e a l a r m i s t r i g g e r e d , t h e s i -
r e n s o u n d s a n d t h e d i r e c t i o n i n d i c a -
t o r l i g h t s l a s h f o r t h i r t y s e c o n d s .
After triggering, the alarm remains set.
S w i t c h o f f t h e i g n i t i o n ,
I n t h e n e x t t e n s e c o n d s , p r e s s
button A until the indicator light is
on continuously,
Get out of the vehicle,
S e t t h e a l a r m b y l o c k i n g o r d e a d -
locking using the remote control
(button A i n d i c a t o r l i g h t l a s h e s
once a second).
In order for the alarm to be set in
t h i s m o d e , t h e s e o p e r a t i o n s m u s t b e
carried out each time the ignition is
s w i t c h e d o f f .
Setting the alarm
S w i t c h o f f t h e i g n i t i o n a n d g e t o u t
of the vehicle.
S e t t h e a l a r m b y l o c k i n g o r d e a d -
locking using the remote control
(button A i n d i c a t o r l i g h t l a s h e s
o n c e p e r s e c o n d ) .
Note: i f y o u w i s h t o l o c k y o u r v e h i -
c l e w i t h o u t s e t t i n g t h e a l a r m , u s e t h e
door lock.
Disarming
U n l o c k t h e v e h i c l e w i t h t h e r e m o t e c o n t r o l
key (button A indicator light goes out).
Note: if the alarm has been triggered
w h i l e y o u w e r e a w a y f r o m y o u r v e h i c l e ,
t h e r a p i d l a s h i n g o f t h e i n d i c a t o r l i g h t w i l l
s t o p w h e n y o u s w i t c h o n t h e i g n i t i o n .
To set the alarm with exterior
protection only
I f , w h i l e y o u a r e a w a y f r o m t h e v e h i -
c l e , y o u w i s h t o l e a v e a w i n d o w p a r -
t i a l l y o p e n o r a p e t i n s i d e t h e v e h i c l e ,
y o u s h o u l d c h o o s e e x t e r i o r p r o t e c -
tion only.
Incorrect operation
W h e n t h e i g n i t i o n i s s w i t c h e d o n , i f
button A lights for ten seconds, there
is a fault in the siren connection.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to have
the system checked.
Automatic activation *
T h e a l a r m i s a c t i v a t e d a u t o m a t i c a l l y t w o
minutes after the last closure of a door
or the boot.
In order to avoid accidental triggering
o f t h e a l a r m w h e n a d o o r o r t h e b o o t i s
o p e n e d , i t i s e s s e n t i a l t o i r s t p r e s s t h e
unlocking button on the remote control.
Failure of the remote control
U n l o c k t h e d o o r w i t h t h e k e y a n d
o p e n i t . T h e a l a r m i s t r i g g e r e d .
S w i t c h o n t h e i g n i t i o n . T h e a l a r m
is disarmed.
ALARM
If button A i n d i c a t o r l i g h t l a s h e s r a p i d -
l y , t h e a l a r m h a s b e e n t r i g g e r e d w h i l e
y o u w e r e a w a y f r o m y o u r v e h i c l e .
4 5 s e c o n d s f o l l o w i n g p r e s s i n g o f t h e
locking button on the remote control,
the alarm is set, regardless of the
status of the doors or boot.
W h e n w a s h i n g y o u r v e h i c l e , t o a v o i d
t r i g g e r i n g t h e a l a r m :
- l o c k t h e d o o r s u s i n g t h e k e y ,
or
-
s e t t h e e x t e r i o r p r o t e c t i o n a l a r m o n l y .
If the alarm has been triggered ten
t i m e s i n s u c c e s s i o n , o n t h e e l e v -
enth time it becomes inactive.
