of units as important as the braking
system, PEUGEOT selects and of-
f e r s v e r y s p e c i fi c p r o d u c t s .
To avoid damaging the electrical
units, the use of a high pressure
washer in the engine compartment
is strictly prohibited .
Brake disc wear status
Brake pads Handbrake
Brake wear depends on the
style of driving, particularly in
the case of vehicles used in
town, over short distances. It
may be necessary to have the
condition of the brakes checked, even
between vehicle services.
Unless there is a leak in the circuit, a
d r o p i n t h e b r a k e fl u i d l e v e l i n d i c a t e s
that the brake pads are worn. For information relating to
checking the brake disc wear
status, contact a PEUGEOT
dealer.
If the handbrake travel is too
long or if a loss of effectiveness
of this system is noticed, the
handbrake must be adjusted,
even between two services.
This system must be checked by a
PEUGEOT dealer.
Manual gearbox
The gearbox does not re-
quire any maintenance (no oil
change).

let for the details of the level

Tick the wheel to be repaired on the
speed limitation sticker enclosed

Clip the bottle 1 on the compressor 2 .
Check that the switch A is tilted to
position "0" .
Connect the pipe of the bottle 1 to

Connect the pipe of the compressor
2 t o t h e b o t t l e .

duced speed (between 10 and 35 mph

Stop to check the repair and the

Connect the compressor pipe directly
t o t h e v a l v e o f t h e r e p a i r e d w h e e l .
Switch on the compressor by tilting
the switch A to position "1" until the
t y r e p r e s s u r e r e a c h e s 2 . 0 b a r s . I f t h i s p r e s s u r e h a s n o t b e e n
reached after approximately three
minutes, the tyre cannot be re-
paired; contact a PEUGEOT dealer

CHANGING A WHEEL
Procedure for changing a faulty wheel
for the spare wheel using the tools pro-

Fixing the steel spare wheel
I f y o u r v e h i c l e i s fi t t e d w i t h a l l o y
wheels, it is normal to notice, when
t i g h t e n i n g t h e b o l t s o n fi t t i n g , t h a t
the washers do not come into con-
t a c t w i t h t h e s t e e l s p a r e w h e e l . T h e
wheel is secured by the conical
c o n t a c t o f e a c h b o l t .
Access to the spare wheel
The spare wheel is installed in the boot
u n d e r t h e fl o o r .
A c c o r d i n g t o c o u n t r y , t h e s p a r e w h e e l
m a y b e s t e e l o r a l l o y .
To gain access to it, refer to the paragraph
" A c c e s s t o t h e t o o l s " o n t h e p r e v i o u s
p a g e .
Taking out the wheel
U n s c r e w t h e y e l l o w c e n t r a l b o l t .
Raise the spare wheel towards you
f r o m t h e r e a r .
T a k e t h e w h e e l o u t o f t h e b o o t .
Putting the wheel back in place
P u t t h e w h e e l b a c k i n i t s h o u s i n g .
Unscrew the yellow central bolt by a
few turns then put it in place in the
c e n t r e o f t h e w h e e l .
Tighten fully until the central bolt
c l i c k s t o r e t a i n t h e w h e e l c o r r e c t l y .
Put the box back in place in the centre
o f t h e w h e e l a n d c l i p i t .

wheelbrace 1 to unlock the anti-theft

of the two front A or rear B locations
