For even air distribution, take care
not to obstruct the exterior air intake
grille located at the bottom of the wind-
screen, the vents, the air outlets under
the front seats and the air extractor lo-
cated behind the fl aps in the boot.
In certain cases of particularly arduous
use (towing the maximum load on a
steep gradient in hot weather), cutting
off the air conditioning permits recov-
ery of the engine power and therefore
improvement of the towing capacity.
Close the windows to benefi t from the
full effectiveness of the air conditioning.
Ensure that the passenger compart-
ment fi lter is in good condition. Have
the fi lter elements replaced periodical-
ly. If you drive in a dusty environment,
replace it twice as often.
The air conditioning system does not
contain chlorine and is not harmful to
the ozone layer.
Operate the air conditioning system
for 5 to 10 minutes, once or twice a
month, to keep it in perfect working
order. The water formed by the air conditioning
condensation is discharged via an open-
ing provided for this purpose. Therefore,
a puddle of water may form underneath
the vehicle when stationary.
If the system does not produce cold air,
do not use it and contact a PEUGEOT
dealer.

1. Centre panel vents.

2. Adjustment of the glove box air
fl ow (see section"Interior layout").

3. Air outlet to passenger footwells.

4. Two ventilation vents at the rear at
the base of the centre console be-
tween the passengers.

5. Side vents.

6. Front windows de-icing or demist-
ing vents.

7. Windscreen de-icing or demisting
vents.

8. Sunshine sensor.

9. Air diffuser grille. AUTOMATIC REGULATION OF THE AIR CONDITIONING
Use of the automatic regulation of the
air conditioning is recommended. It
permits automatic and optimised con-
trol of all of the following functions: air
fl ow, passenger compartment temper-
ature and air distribution, by means
of various sensors, so preventing the
need for you to change your refer-
ence settings other than the value dis-
played.
Air diffuser
The air diffuser grille, located at the
top of the centre console, signifi cantly
improves distribution and fl ows and
prevents air currents, while maintain-
ing an optimum temperature inside the
passenger compartment.
Do not cover the sunshine sensor
9 .
It is required for regulation of the air
conditioning.
Advice on operation
To obtain even ventilation, avoid
closing the air diffuser grille 10 .
In hot weather, in order to obtain intense
ventilation, you can close the air diffuser
grille 10 and use vents 1 and 6 only.
If, when the vehicle has been parked in
the sun for a long time, the interior tem-
perature remains very high, do not hesi-
tate to ventilate the passenger compart-
ment for a few minutes.

Automatic switching on of the lights
The dipped beam headlamps switch
on automatically if the light is poor and
when the windscreen wipers operate
continuously. They switch off when
the light is bright enough or the winds-
creen wipers stop.
Warning: in foggy weather or in snow,
the brightness sensor can detect suffi -
cient light. The lights will not come on
automatically.
If necessary, you must switch the dip-
ped headlamps on manually. Activation Manual "Follow-me-home" lighting
When you leave your vehicle, the side
lights and dipped headlamps can be
left on for a few seconds.
When the function is activat-
ed, the indicator light comes
on on the 5-dial instrument
panel display.

To disarm or activate the func-
tion, pass via the "Personali-
sation-confi guration" menu
on your multifunction display.
For safety reasons, activation/
deactivation of the "Automatic
switching on of the lights" func-
tion via the menu must be car-
ried out when stationary.
To deactivate or activate
the "Automatic follow-me-
home lighting" function,
pass via the "Person-
alisation-configuration"
menu on your multifunction
screen.
The duration of timing can
be set via the "Personalisa-
tion-confi guration" menu of
your multifunction display.
Automatic "Follow-me-home"
lighting
When you leave your vehicle
with the
automatic switching on of the lights
activated, the side lights and dipped
headlamps remain on for the duration
selected after the ignition is switched
off.
Disarming
When the function is disarmed,
the indicator light comes on
on the 5-dial instrument panel
display.
Do not cover the sunshine/
brightness sensor, located in
the centre of the windscreen.
It is used to regulate the air
conditioning and for the automatic
switching on of the lights.

If the sunshine/brightness sensor
does not function correctly, the side
lights and dipped headlamps come on.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.
Activation:

 switch off the engine,

 "fl ash" the headlamps,

 get out of the vehicle and lock it.

TYRE UNDER-INFLATION DETECTION
Sensors check the tyre pressure du-
ring driving and trigger a warning in
the event of malfunction.
Flat tyre Instrument panel
warning light.
Instrument panel
display warning
light.
This is accompanied by the audible signal
and the message on the multi-function
display locating the wheel concerned.
If this warning light comes on, have
the tyre pressure checked as soon as
possible.
Puncture
This warning light, accompanied by
the audible signal and the message on
the multi-function display locating the
wheel concerned, is followed by illumi-
nation of the 'STOP' warning light. Stop immediately, avoiding any sud-
den movement of the steering wheel
and the brakes.
Change the damaged wheel (punc-
tured or very defl ated tyre), and have
the tyre pressure checked as soon as
possible.
Sensor(s) not detected or

warning light.
This is accompanied
by the message on the multifunction display
which indicates that under-infl ation detec-
tion is absent from one (or several) wheel(s)
or that there is a fault in the system.

play warning light.
This is accompa-
nied by the audible
signal and the message on the multi-
function display which indicates that
under-infl ation detection is absent
from one (or several) wheel(s) or that
there is a fault in the system.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to replace
the faulty sensor(s). All repairs and changing of
tyres on a wheel fi tted with this
system must be carried out by
a PEUGEOT dealer.
If, when changing a tyre, you install a
wheel which is not detected by your
vehicle, you must have the system
reinitialised by a PEUGEOT dealer.
The tyre under-infl ation detection sys-
tem is an aid to driving which does not
replace the need for the driver to be
vigilant or to drive responsibly.
This system does not eliminate
the need to have the tyre pressure
checked regularly (see manufacturer's
label on the door pillar) to ensure that
the optimum dynamic performance
of the vehicle is maintained and pre-
vent premature wear of the tyres, par-
ticularly in arduous driving conditions
(heavy load, high speed).
The tyre pressures must be checked
cold, at least once a month. Remem-
ber to check the pressure of the spare
wheel.
The tyre under-infl ation detection sys-
tem may experience temporary inter-
ference due to radioelectric emissions
on a frequency close to that used by
the system.
This is accompanied by the message
on the multifunction display locating
the wheel concerned.

Note : this message is also
displayed when one of the
wheels is away from the ve-
hicle (being repaired) or when
one or more wheels without a sensor
are fi tted.
