displays different information.
LIGHTING RHEOSTAT
Zero reset
When the required route is displayed,
press the control for more than
two seconds.
With the lights on, press the button
to vary the intensity of the lighting of
the instruments and controls. When
the lighting reaches the minimum
(or maximum) setting, release the
button then press it again to increase
(or reduce) the brightness.
As soon as the lighting is of the required
brightness, release the button.

diagnostics'' application using the navi-

The ''Trip computer'' or ''Vehicle diagnostics''
menu offers various options:
- Warnings log,
- Status of the functions,
- Inputting of the distance to be
travelled.

This summarises the active warning
messages, displaying them on the
multifunction display in succession.
Status of the functions
This summarises the active or inactive
status of the functions present on the
vehicle.
Distance remaining

When guidance is not activated, this
enables you to enter an approximate
distance to be travelled.
T h i s fi g u r e m a y i n c r e a s e i f
there is a change in the style
of driving or the road surface,
p r o d u c i n g a s i g n i fi c a n t d r o p i n
current consumption.
When the range is less than 20 miles
(30 km), four segments are displayed.
A f t e r fi l l i n g w i t h f u e l , t h e r a n g e i s
displayed when it exceeds 62 miles
(100 km). If horizontal segments are dis-
played for long periods instead
of digits, contact a dealer.
This function is displayed only when
the vehicle is travelling at a speed
greater than 20 mph (30 km/h).
This is the distance remaining to
the destination, either calculated at
any time by the navigation system if
guidance is activated or entered by
the user, minus the distance covered
since the distance was entered.
If digits are missing, dashes are dis-
played in their place.
This is the average fuel consumption
since the computer was last set to zero.
This indicates the distance travelled
since the computer was last set to zero. Access via the general menu
This is the average speed calculated
since the computer was last set to
zero (with the ignition on).

This menu allows you to set the bright-
ness of the display, the display colour
scheme and the colour of the map
(day/night and auto mode).
V e h i c l e
This menu permits the activation or
deactivation of certain driving and
comfort systems:
- air conditioning (A/C),
- vehicle information,
- access to the vehicle,
- driving assistance,
- l i g h t i n g c o n fi g u r a t i o n ,
- comfort lighting.
U n i t s
This menu permits selection of the
units: temperature (°C or °F) and
c o n s u m p t i o n ( k m / l , l / 1 0 0 , m i l e s a n d
mpg).
S y s t e m
This menu permits restoring of the
f a c t o r y c o n fi g u r a t i o n , d i s p l a y i n g o f t h e
software version and activation of the
scrolling text. F o r s a f e t y r e a s o n s , c o n fi g u r a -
tion of the multifunction dis-
plays by the driver must be
carried out when stationary. COLOUR DISPLAY(WITH PC NAV) "SETUP" menu
Press the SETUP button to gain access
to the "SETUP" menu. This provides
access to the following functions:
- System language,
- Date & Time,
- Display,
- Vehicle,
- Units,
- System.

This menu allows you to select
the language used by the display:
German, English, Spanish, French,
Italian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese.
D a t e & T i m e
This menu allows you to set the date
and time, the format of the date and
the format of the time (refer to the "Au-
dio and Telematics" section).
This displays the following informa-
tion:
- the time,
- the date,
- the exterior temperature (the value
d i s p l a y e d fl a s h e s i f t h e r e i s a r i s k o f
ice),
- t h e a c c e s s e s c h e c k ,
- the vehicle function status messag- es, displayed temporarily,
- the warning messages,

Press the "MENU" button to gain ac-
cess to the general menu and select
one of the following functions: Naviga-
t i o n - G u i d a n c e , M a p , T r a f fi c I n f o r m a t i o n ,
A u d i o F u n c t i o n s , T e l e m a t i c s , C o n fi g u r a -
tion, Video, Vehicle Diagnostics and Air
Conditioning. - Choose colour,
- Adjust brightness,
- Adjust date and time,
- Choose units.

Permits the activation or deactivation of
certain driving and comfort elements:
- p e r m a n e n t l o c k i n g o f t h e b o o t o n
the 407 Saloon,
- automatic switching on of the lights,
- automatic "follow-me-home" lighting,
- automatic rear wiping on engaging reverse gear on the 407 SW.
The " C o n fi g u r a t i o n " menu provides
access to the following functions:
- D i s p l a y c o n fi g u r a t i o n ,
- Sound,
- Choice of language,
- D e fi n e t h e v e h i c l e p a r a m e t e r s .
You can connect video equipment
(camcorder, digital camera, ...) to the
t h r e e v i d e o s o c k e t s , l o c a t e d i n t h e
glove box.
Video display is only possible when
stationary.
Select the Video menu from the general
menu:
- "Activate video mode" to activate/deactivate the video,
- "Video parameters" to set the dis- play format, the brightness, the con-
trast and the colours.
