Bolt covers
Alloy wheel bolts are covered by
chrome trims.
Use the yellow tool 6 to remove the
trims before slackening the bolts. Fitting the spare wheel
If your vehicle is itted with a steel
spare wheel, when itting it, it is
normal
when tightening the bolts to
notice that the washers do not come
into contact with the rim. The spare
wheel is secured by the cone shape
of each bolt.
PARTIAL REMOVABLE
CLOSER*
The partial removable closer is a
cover which is ixed onto the air in-
take grille to prevent the accumula-
tion of snow due to direct splashes.
Once it has been itted on your vehi-
cle, it is imperative that it is removed
when the ambient temperature con-
ditions rise above 10 °C again.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer.

Special features of alloy
wheels
Anti-theft bolts
Your wheels are itted with anti-
theft bolts (one per wheel), placed
under chrome trims which must be
removed using tool 6, before the
bolts are unscrewed using one of the
two anti-theft sockets and the wheel
brace 1.
Fitting snow tyres
If you it snow tyres mounted on steel
wheels onto your vehicle, it is
es-
sential to use special bolts available
from your PEUGEOT dealer.
Note: these anti-theft sock-
ets were given to you on de-
livery of your vehicle with the
duplicate keys and the coni-
dential card. Make a careful note of
the code number engraved on the
head of the anti-theft socket. This will
enable you to obtain a duplicate anti-
theft socket from a PEUGEOT dealer.
You are advised to do the same for
the duplicate keys and not to leave
the conidential card in the vehicle.

CHANGING A FRONT BULB
Handle the bulbs with a dry cloth.2 - Side lights:
W 5 W (COOL BLUE ).
F Turn the access cap a quarter
turn, remove the bulb and change
it.
3 - Direction indicators:
PY 21 W (DIADEM ).
F Turn the access cap a quarter
turn,
F Remove the bulb holder.
F Change the bulb.
4 - Front fog lamps: H11-55 W.
The headlamps are itted with poly-
carbonate glass with a protective
coating. Do not clean them with a dry
or abrasive cloth, nor with a deter-
gent or solvent product.
Ensure that the liquid used to ill the
wash-wipe and headlamp wash res-
ervoir is of good quality. Integrated direction indicator side
repeaters
F
Push the repeater forwards or
backwards and release it.
F Unclip the repeater and change
it.
Repeaters can be obtained from a
PEUGEOT dealer.
Front lights
In the engine compartment, remove
the cover secured by one or two but-
terly screws, a plastic retainer clip
and two quarter turn screws.
1 - Dipped beam and main beam headlamps:
D1S-35 W xenon bulb.
WARNING: RISK OF
ELECTROCUTION Coloured bulbs (side lights
and direction indicators)
must be replaced with bulbs
of identical speciication and
colour.
In certain climatic conditions
(low temperature, humidity),
condensation on the inside
surface of the headlamp
glass is normal; it disappears a few
minutes after the lights are switched
on.
Xenon bulbs must be replaced by a
PEUGEOT dealer.

CHANGING A REAR BULB
1 - Direction indicators: W 16 W.
2 - Fog lamps: P 21 W.
3 - Reversing lights: P 21 W.
4 - Brake lights/side lights:
P 21/5 W. F
Fold down the panel to gain ac-
cess to the light.
F Unscrew the 2 light ixing nuts in-
side the boot.
F Disconnect the connector.
F Pull the light towards the outside.
F Unscrew the faulty bulb a quarter
of a turn and change it.
F Screw in the bulb a quarter of a
turn.
F Put the light back in place from
the outside.
F Reconnect the connector.
F Screw on the 2 light ixing nuts
inside the boot. When reitting,
ensure that the light is positioned
and ixed correctly. Number plate lights:
W 5 W.
F Remove the transparent cover us-
ing a screwdriver.
F Change the faulty bulb.
Third brake light: diodes.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer for re-
placement.

CHANGING A FUSE
The fuse boxes are placed in the
glovebox (passenger side), in the
engine compartment (left-hand side)
and in the left boot trim.
Fascia fuses
To access the fuses, open the cover
of the storage compartment on the
driver's side. Tilt the fuse box down-
wards.
Replacing a fuse
Before replacing a fuse, the cause of
the incident must be found and recti-
ied. The fuse numbers are indicated
on the fuse box.Always replace a faulty fuse
with a fuse of the same rat-
ing (same colour). Use the special pliers located on the
support next to the fuse box, this
support also contains the replace-
ment fuses.

Engine compartment fuses
To access the fuses located in the
engine compartment (next to the bat-
tery), remove the battery cover and
unclip the fuse box cover.
Close the fuse box cover carefully
and reit the battery cover when you

functions resulting from the installa-
tion of accessories not supplied and
not recommended by PEUGEOT
and not installed in accordance with
its instructions, in particular where
the equipment in question consumes
more than 10 milliamperes.The maxi-fuses provide additional
protection for the electrical systems.
All work must be carried out by a
PEUGEOT dealer.

CHANGING A WINDSCREEN
WIPER BLADE
Placing the wiper blades in the
maintenance position
F Less than one minute after switch-
ing off the ignition, press the wind-
screen wiper stalk down once to
position the blades at the top of
the windscreen (maintenance po-
sition).
Replacing a blade
F Lift the arm, then unclip the blade
and remove it.
F Fit the new blade and fold down
the arm.
To reposition the blades, switch on
the ignition and operate the wind-
screen wiper stalk.
ECONOMY MODE FUNCTION
After the engine has stopped, certain
functions (windscreen wiper, electric
windows, sunroof, electric seats,
audio equipment, telephone, interior
boot light, etc) can only be used for a
combined duration of approximately
thirty minutes, to prevent discharging
the battery.
Once the thirty minutes are over, a
switching to economy mode mes-
sage appears on the multi-function
display and the active functions are
put on standby.
These functions are reactivated au-
tomatically next time the vehicle is
driven.
In order to resume the use of these
functions immediately, the engine
must be started and left to run for a
few minutes.
The time available to you will then be
approximately double the duration
for which the engine is left running.
However, this period will always be
between ive and thirty minutes.
LOAD REDUCTION
FUNCTION
When driving, certain functions (air
conditioning, heated rear screen,
heating system for passenger com-
partment of diesel vehicles, etc.) may
be switched off temporarily, depend-
ing on the level of battery charge.
Reactivation of these functions is
automatic, once the battery charge
is suficient.
Note: at the risk of dischar-
ging the battery, the functions
that have been switched off
may be reactivated manually.
Note: if the telephone is
being used when economy
mode starts, it will still be
possible to inish the call.
A lat battery prevents the
engine from starting.
