cally controlled suspension
malfunction.

warning lamp
In forward and/or reverse
gear, this indicates a parking
sensor system fault.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer. This comes on when the
SPORT function is deacti-
vated.
Particle emission fi lter
saturation warning lamp
(Diesel engine)
With the engine running, this
indicates that the particle
emission fi lter is starting to become
saturated (exceptionally prolonged ur-
ban driving type conditions: low speed,
long traffi c jams...) or a low Diesel ad-
ditive reservoir level.
In order to regenerate the fi lter, you are
advised to drive, as soon as possible
when the traffi c conditions permit, at a
speed of 40 mph (60 km/h) or above
for at least fi ve minutes (until the warn-
ing lamp goes off).
If the warning lamp remains on, con-
tact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Following prolonged use of the vehi-
cle at very low speeds or at idle, you
may, exceptionally, notice an emission
of water vapour at the exhaust dur-
ing acceleration. This does not affect
the performance of the vehicle or the
environment. Water in Diesel fi lter
warning lamp
This indicates the presence
of water in the Diesel fi lter.
There is a risk of damage to
the injection system.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer as soon
as possible.

In foggy weather, the sunshine
sensor can detect suffi cient
light. As a consequence, the
lighting will not come on auto-
matically.
This function is active when the vehicle
is supplied to the customer.
If the
sunshine
sensor does not
function correctly , if the system is
activated, the dipped beam headlamps
and the sidelamps come on.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to have
the system checked.
Daytime running lamps *
On vehicles which are equipped with
daytime running lamps, the dipped
beam headlamps come on when the
vehicle is started.
The instruments and controls
(instrument panel, multifunction
screen, air conditioning control
panel, ...) are only illuminated on switching to the automatic illumination of
headlamps mode or when the lighting is
switched on manually. This warning lamp comes on
in the instrument panel.
* According to country.
This function is available di-
rectly at the lighting stalk on
certain versions depending on
the type of lighting stalk.
The sidelamps and dipped beam
headlamps switch on automatically if
the light is poor, or during operation of
the windscreen wipers. They switch
off as soon as the light becomes bright
enough or the windscreen wipers
stop.

101
VISUAL AND AUDIBLE FRONT AND/OR REAR PARKING SENSORS
This system consists of proximity sen-
sors:
- six in the front bumper,
and/or
- four in the rear bumper.
It detects obstacles (person, vehicle,
tree, gate, etc.) in front of or behind
the vehicle. However, it cannot detect
obstacles located directly under the
bumper.
An object, such as a stake, cone or any
other similar object may be detected
at the beginning of the manoeuvre but
may no longer be detected when the
vehicle comes close to it. The proximity of the obstacle is indi-
cated by:
- an audible signal which becomes
more rapid as the vehicle ap-
proaches the obstacle,
- a graphic in the multifunction screen, with blocks which become
increasingly close to the vehicle.
The obstacle is located in relation to
the emission of the audible signal by
the speakers; that is, front or rear and
right or left.
When the distance between the ve-
hicle and the obstacle is less than
approximately thirty centimetres, the
audible signal becomes continuous
and/or the "Danger" symbol appears
in the multifunction screen.
The system becomes inactive again:
- when you exit reverse gear,
- when the speed is above 6 mph (10 km/h),
- at the end of the manoeuvre, when stationary, after a few seconds
(front parking sensors only).
Detection zone
To ensure optimum operation,
in bad weather or in winter,
ensure that the sensors are
not covered with mud, frost or
snow. The system is deactivated if
the vehicle is stationary for
more than 3 seconds.
Detection
The system is activated when:
- reverse gear is engaged,
- the speed is below 6 mph (10 km/h)
in forward gear.
It is accompanied by an audible sig-
nal and/or display of the vehicle in the
multifunction screen.

TYRE UNDER-INFLATION DETECTION
Sensors check the tyre pressures
while driving and trigger a warning in
the event of problem.
Pressure Check With the ignition on and the
vehicle having been sta-
tionary for approximately
15 minutes, and after the
engine oil level, this indicator
lamp comes on in the instrument pan-
el screen to indicate that the system is
measuring the tyre pressures.
Pressure OK
This indicator lamp comes
on in the instrument panel
screen if all of the tyre pres-
sure values measured are
correct.
If this indicator lamp does not appear,
contact a PEUGEOT dealer to have
the system checked. Puncture
This warning lamp, accom-
panied by the audible sig-
nal and the message in the
multifunction screen identify-
ing the wheel concerned, is
followed by illumination of the STOP
warning lamp.
Stop as soon as it is safe to do so,
avoiding any sudden movement of the
steering wheel and the brakes.
Change the damaged wheel (punc-
tured or very defl ated tyre), and have
the tyre pressure checked as soon as
possible.

Note: this message is also
displayed when one of the
wheels is away from the ve-
hicle (being repaired) or when
one or more wheels without a sensor
are fi tted. All repairs and changing of
tyres on a wheel fi tted with this
system must be carried out by
a PEUGEOT dealer.
If, when changing a tyre, you install a
wheel which is not detected by your
vehicle, you must have the system re-
initialised by a PEUGEOT dealer.
The tyre under-infl ation detection sys-
tem is an aid to driving which does not
replace the need for the driver to be
vigilant or to drive responsibly.
This system does not avoid the need
to have the tyre pressures checked
regularly (see manufacturer’s label) to
ensure that the optimum dynamic per-
formance of the vehicle is maintained
and prevent premature wear of the
tyres, particularly in arduous driving
conditions (heavy load, high speed).
The tyre pressures must be checked
cold, at least once a month. Remember
to check the pressure of the spare
wheel.
The tyre under-infl ation detection sys-
tem may experience temporary interfer-
ence due to electromagnetic emissions
on a frequency close to that used by the
system.
Under-infl ated tyre
This warning lamp is accom-
panied by the audible signal
and the message in the mul-
tifunction screen identifying
the wheel concerned.
If this warning lamp comes on, have
the tyre pressure checked as soon as
possible. Sensor(s) not detected or faulty
This warning lamp is accom-
panied by the audible sig-
nal and the message in the
multifunction screen which
indicates that under-infl ation
detection is absent from one (or sev-
eral) wheel(s) or that there is a fault in
the system.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to replace
the faulty sensor(s).
