Always switch off the programmable
heating while fi lling with fuel to avoid
any risk of fi re or explosion.
To avoid any risk of poisoning and
asphyxiation, the programmable heat-
ing must not be used, even for short
periods, in an enclosed space such
as a garage or workshop which is not
equipped with an exhaust gas extrac-
tion system.
Do not park the vehicle on an infl am-
mable surface (dry grass, dead leaves,
paper…), there is a risk of fi re.
The programmable heating system
is supplied by the vehicle's fuel tank.
Before use, ensure that the quantity
of fuel remaining is suffi cient. If the
fuel tank is at the reserve, we strongly
advise that you do not programme the
heating.
Changing the battery
The remote control is supplied by a
6V-28L battery, which is supplied.
Information on the display indicates
when it is time to replace this battery.
Unclip the casing then replace the bat-
tery.
The remote control must then be reini-
tialised, see below.
Do not discard the used batteries, take
them to an approved collection point. Reinitialising the remote
control
If the vehicle's battery is discon-
nected or the remote control's
battery is replaced, the remote control
must be reinitialised.
After switching on the power, press
button 4 (OFF) for 1 second within the
next 5 seconds. If the operation has
taken place correctly the message

"OK" is displayed in the remote con-
trol screen.
If a problem occurs, the message

"FAIL" appears. Repeat the operation.
As an accessory, your programmable
heating can be adapted to pre-heat your
vehicle's passenger compartment.

which has a special code. When the
ignition is switched on, the code is
recognised and starting is possible.

If the system does not
function correctly , the
warning lamp comes on in
the instrument panel screen,
accompanied by an audible
signal and a message in the

placed regularly. If you drive
in dusty conditions, change
them twice as often.

Brake pad wear depends on
the style of driving, in par-
ticular for vehicles which are
used in town, over short dis-
tances.
Brake pads
It may be necessary to check
the thickness of the pads,
even between services. Where the parking brake
travel is too great or there is a
reduction in the performance
of the system, the parking
brake should be adjusted.
Have the system checked by a
PEUGEOT dealer.
Parking brake
To ensure the best perform-
ance from components as im-
portant as the power steering
and the braking system, the
manufacturer selects and offers spe-
cifi c products; only use products rec-
ommended by PEUGEOT.
To prevent damage to the electrical
units, high pressure washing of the en-
gine compartment is strictly prohibited .
Use the fl uid recommended by the
manufacturer.

 Open the reservoir, with the engine
at ambient temperature, the level
should always be above the MIN
mark, close to the MAX mark.
Particle emission filter - Additive reservoir (Diesel)
It is imperative that the maintenance
of the particle emission fi lter and the fi l-
ling of the additive reservoir are carried
out by a PEUGEOT dealer in accor-
dance with the manufacturer's servic-
ing schedule.

the cables

1. Raise the locking plate A .

2. Position the open clip of the cable
on the positive (+) terminal of the
battery.

3. Press until the position checking
system B tilts.

4. Lock the clip by lowering the lock-
ing plate while pressing on the clip. To start the vehicle from another
battery:
-
Connect the red cable to the positive (+)
terminals of the two batteries,
- Connect one end of the green or
black cable to the negative (-) ter-
minal of the slave battery,
- Connect the other end of the green or black cable to an earth point on
the broken down vehicle as far as
possible from the battery,
-
Operate the starter, let the engine run,
- Wait for the engine to return to idle, then disconnect the cables.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT)
To charge the battery using a
battery charger:
- Disconnect the battery,
-
Follow the instructions for use given by
the manufacturer the battery charger,
- Reconnect starting with the nega-tive (-) terminal,
- Check that the terminals and connec- tors are clean. If they are covered with

Before disconnecting the bat-
tery, you must wait for 2 minu tes
after switching off the ignition.
Never disconnect a terminal
when the engine is running.
Never charge a battery without fi rst
disconnecting the terminals.
Open the windows and close the sun-
roof before disconnecting the battery.
If they do not operate normally follow-
ing reconnection of the battery, they
must be reinitialised (see paragraphs
"Reinitialisation of the electric windows"
and "Sunroof").
After every reconnection of the bat-
tery, switch on the ignition and wait
1 minute before starting to allow the
electronic systems to be initialised.
However, if slight diffi culties are ex-
perienced after this, please contact a
PEUGEOT dealer.

On the 2.7 litre 24V HDI engine, if
there is no battery in the boot, do
not connect a slave battery to the
positive (+) and negative (-) termi-
nals under the bonnet as a short
circuit may occur.
The batteries contain harmful
substances such as sulphuric
acid and lead. They must be
disposed of in accordance
with regulations and must never be
discarded with household waste.
Take used batteries to an approved
collection point.

 open the bonnet,

 use the two additional positive (+)
and negative (-) terminals located
under the bonnet,

 open the red cover of the positive (+)
terminal,

connect the red cable between the
positive (+) terminal and the positive (+)
terminal of the slave battery,

 connect the green or black cable
between the negative (-) terminal
and the negative (-) terminal of the
slave battery,

operate the starter, let the engine run,

 wait for the engine to return to idle,
then disconnect the cables,

close the red cover of the positive (+)
terminal,

 refi t the left side cover,
