Insert an MP3 compilation in the player.
The audio equipment searches for all of the music
tracks, which may take anything between a few
seconds and several tens of seconds, before play
begins.
To play a disc which has already been
inserted, press the SOURCE button
several times in succession and
select CD. Press one of the buttons to select
a track on the CD.
Press the LIST button to display
the list of directories of the MP3
compilation.
On a single disc, the CD player can read up to 255
MP3 files spread
over 8 directory levels. However, it is advisable t o keep to a limit of
two levels to reduce the access time before the CD is played.

INFORMATION AND ADVICE
The MP3 format, an abbreviation of MPEG 1.2 & 2.5 A udio
Layer 3, is an audio compression standard which per mits the
recording of several tens of music files on a single dis c.
The playing and displaying of an MP3 compilation ma y depend on
the recording programme and/or the parameters used.
In order to be able to play a recorded CDR or CDRW, when recording
select standards ISO 9660 level 1.2 or Joliet. If t he disc is recorded in
another format, it may not be played correctly.
It is recommended that the same recording standard is always used
for an individual disc, with as low a speed as poss ible for optimum
sound quality.
In the particular case of a multi-session CD, the J oliet standard is
recommended.
The audio equipment will only play audio files with th e extension
".mp3". No other type of file (.wma, .mp4...) can be play ed.
It is advisable to restrict file names to 20 characters w ithout using
special characters (e.g.: " " ? ; ù) to avoid any p laying or displaying
problems.

04 HANDS-FREE KIT MATCHING A TELEPHONE

For safety reasons and because they require prolong ed attention on
the part of the driver, the operations for matching of the Bluetooth
mobile telephone with the RD4 hands-free kit must b e carried out
with the vehicle stationary and the ignition on.
Enter the vehicle’s authentication code (=1234).
Depending on the telephone, you may be asked
to enter this code before the superimposed
configuration display appears. Activate the telephone’s Bluetooth function and
carry out a search of the Bluetooth accessories
present for the telephone.
Select the accessory which corresponds to the
name of the vehicle, a superimposed configuration
display appears on the multi-function display. The services offered by the hands-free kit depend o
n the telephone network, the SIM card and the
compatibility of the Bluetooth equipment used.
Consult your telephone’s manual and your operator t o check which services are available to you. A
list of mobile telephones which offer the best rang e of services is available from the network. Contac t
a PEUGEOT dealer.
RECEIVING A CALL
Select the YES tab on the display using
the buttons then confirm by pressing OK. An incoming call is announced by a ring and a super
imposed display
on the multi-function display.
