TRANSPORTING LONG
OBJECTS
Front passenger seat:
F
Tilt the seat back approximately
25° towards the rear (in relation
to the vertical position) using
the seat back angle adjustment
control (see corresponding para-
graph).
F Lift control A upwards to release
the seat back.
F Without releasing control A, press
on the top of the seat back and
move with it until it is folded. Rear seat (see corresponding
paragraph):
F
Tilt the seat cushion,
F Remove the head restraints,
F Tilt the seat back. Note:
when repositioning, ensure
that the front and rear seat backs are
secured correctly.
Precautions
- The long object must be placed on the end of the front seat back and
on the rear seat cushion.
- Do not place a load in excess of 30 kg on the front of the seat back.
- Do not load sharp objects, this could damage the rear of the
front seat back (storage pocket).

REAR WIPER CONTROL
Turn the ring to the irst notch for in-
termittent wiping.
The control must be reactivated if
the ignition has been switched off.
To do this, move the control to any
position then return it to the required
position.
Automatic rear wiper
If the windscreen wipers control is
activated and you engage reverse
gear, the rear wiper operates in inter-
mittent mode.
Note:
if a bicycle carrier is used, de-
activate this function by going to the
"personalisation-coniguration" menu
on the multifunction display or install
a special bicycle carrier approved by
PEUGEOT. Rear wash-wipe
Turn the ring beyond the irst notch,
the wash-wipe then the wiper oper-
ate for a set period of time.
Note:
the rear wiper and rear wash-
wipe functions are deactivated au-
tomatically when the rear screen is
opened.

TAILGATE AND REAR
SCREEN
The locking or unlocking of the tail-
gate and rear screen is simultaneous
with that of the doors.
Opening the tailgate and rear
screen
The tailgate and rear screen can-
not be opened at the same time.
With the rear screen closed, to open
the tailgate , operate the handle A,
then lift the tailgate.
With the tailgate closed, to open the
rear screen , operate the handle B,
then lift the rear screen.
The lighting is controlled by opening
the tailgate or the rear screen. Partial opening of the tailgate*
With the rear screen closed, to par-
tially open the
tailgate, press the
unlocking button C on the remote
control.
Partial opening of the rear
screen*
With the tailgate closed, to partially
open the rear screen , press the
unlocking button C on the remote
control.
Notes: the tailgate and rear screen
lock automatically when driving at
6 mph (10 km/h) and unlock when
one of the doors is opened.
When the rear wiper is in a wiping
position, the rear screen cannot be
opened until the end of the cycle.
Close the rear screen using the wiper
arm or by pressing the centre of the
glass. "Rear screen open" warning
When the engine is running
, if the
rear screen is not fully closed, you
are warned by a message on the
multifunction display.
When the vehicle is moving
(speed greater than 6 mph (10 km/h)),
if the rear screen is not fully closed,
you are warned by an audible signal, a
message on the multifunction display
and lighting of the "Service" warning
light.

To install:
F
Position the front ends of the load
space cover on its support and
press gently to put it in place.
F Unfold the load space cover fully.

REAR READING LIGHTS
(Vehicle fitted with a
panoramic roof)
To remove:
F Fold up the load space cover
fully.
F Unclip the front ends and remove
the load space cover.
LOAD SPACE COVER
With the key in the ignition on or
starting position, press the corre-
sponding switch.
The rear reading lights come on
when the key is removed from the
ignition and when the vehicle is un-
locked.
They switch off gradually when the
ignition is switched on or when the
vehicle is locked.
F Pressing switch 1 switches on the
rear reading light concerned for
ten minutes.

BOOT LAYOUT
1. 12 V accessories socket and
boot light
This is a lighter type 12 volt socket. It is installed on the rear
left trim and is supplied from the
ignition on position.
The boot light is controlled by opening the tailgate or rear
screen.
2. Storage boxes
There are two side storage box- es which can contain:
- on the left: a can of oil, a irst aid kit, a puncture repair aero-
sol,
- on the right (except when a JBL Hi-Fi system is itted): a
box of bulbs, a warning trian-
gle (support provided for this
purpose), the luggage retain-
ing net. 3. Load space cover
4. Stowing rings

There are four stowing rings
on the boot loor to which the
luggage retaining net can be
attached. High load retaining net
The high load retaining net can be
used behind the front seats (row 1) or
behind the rear bench seat (row 2).
Note:
if it is used behind the front
seats, the rear seat backs and
cushions must be folded (see
corresponding section).
To install it:
F fold the rear seat backs (see cor-
responding section),
F install the high load retaining net
roller in the two rails 5 located
behind the rear seats (2/3 bench
seat),
F pull the roller downwards to en-
gage it in the rails,
F push it to the left to secure it.
To use it:
F open the covers 6 or 7 of the cor-
responding upper ixings,
F unroll the high load retaining net
by pulling on the strap and install
the ends of the metal bar in the
two ixings.

Safety auto-reverse
If the shutter encounters an obstacle
during closing, it stops and partially
opens again.
You must reinitialise the safety auto-
reverse within a maximum of ive
seconds after the concealing shutter
has stopped:
- press part
A of the control until the
shutter is completely closed (clos-
ing in stages of a few centimetres).
Notes
Following reconnection of the battery,
in the event of a shutter malfunction
while it is moving or immediately af-
ter it has stopped, you must reinitial-
ise the safety auto-reverse:
- place the control in the fully open position (position "0"),
- wait until the shutter is in the fully open position,
- press section A of the control for at
least three seconds.
In the event of unwanted opening of
the shutter on closing, and immedi-
ately after the shutter has stopped:
- move the control to the fully closed position (9th setting to the left) then
press part A of the control straight
away,
- continue to press the control until the shutter is fully closed.
The safety auto-reverse function
is not active during these opera-
tions.
PANORAMIC ROOF
Your vehicle is itted with a tinted
glass panoramic roof which in-
creases the light and visibility in the
passenger compartment. Its electric
concealing shutter improves tem-
perature conditions.
The concealing shutter is control-
led electrically by a dial with nine
opening positions.
To close: turn the dial to the left
(nine possible settings).
To open: return the dial to the initial
position "0". In the event of contact during
operation of the shutter, you
must reverse its movement.
To do this, press the control
concerned.
When the driver operates the shutter
control, he must ensure that no one
is preventing the shutter from closing
correctly.
The driver must ensure that the pas-
sengers use the concealing shutter
correctly.
Pay attention to children during op-
eration of the shutter.

FITTING ROOF BARS
When itting transverse roof bars,
ensure that they are positioned cor-
rectly.
The correct positions are shown by
marks on each of the longitudinal
bars.
Use accessories approved by
PEUGEOT and follow the manufac-
turer's itting instructions.
Maximum authorised weight
on the roof bars, for a loading
height not exceeding 40 cm (ex-
cept bicycle carriers): 100 kg.
If the height exceeds 40 cm, adapt
the speed of the vehicle to the condi-
tion of the road, to avoid damaging
the roof bars.
Please refer to national legislation
to comply with the regulations re-
garding the transportation of objects
which are longer than the vehicle.

CHANGING A REAR BULB
Wing lights
1 - Brake lights/side lights: P 21/5 W.
2 - Reversing lights: P 21 W.
3 - Direction indicators: P 21 W.
These three bulbs are changed by
removing the light.
F Remove the corresponding boot
side lap to gain access to the
light.
F Remove the light ixing nut inside
the boot.
Note: if necessary, use the wheel-
brace to remove the nuts. Left and right fog lamps:
P 21 W.
F Carefully unclip the tailgate inte-
rior trim.
F Detach the sealing sheet located
behind the light concerned.
F Remove the bulb holder turning it
a quarter of a turn.
F Change the faulty bulb.
When reitting, ensure that the bulb
is positioned correctly in the bulb
holder.
F
Unclip the light (2 clips).
F Disconnect the connector and re-
move the light.
F Unclip the bulb holder moving
aside the 4 tabs.
F Unscrew the bulb and change it.
F Reconnect the connector.
F Lock the bulb holder in place.
When reitting it, ensure that the
lamp is correctly positioned and
secured, reclipping the rear part
then the front part.

7 SW comfort
Number plate lights:
W 5 W.
F Insert a thin screwdriver in one of
the exterior holes of the transpar-
ent cover.
F Push it towards the outside to un-
clip it.
F Remove the transparent cover.
F Change the faulty bulb. Third brake light (diodes)
All work on the diode lights must be
carried out by a PEUGEOT dealer.
