CHECK (vehicle autotest)
Automatic CHECK
With the key in the ignition on position, all of the warning lamps for the functions tested are displaye d. They are switched off after a few seconds. At the same time, an automatic CHECK (vehicle autotest) is carried out.
In the presence of a fault
A "minor" fault has been detected: the warning lamp(s) are displayed then go off. You can star t your vehicle; however, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop as soon as possible. A "major" fault has been detected: the associated warning lamps(s) remain on accompanied by the STOP or SERVICE warning lamp. Do not star t your vehicle. Call a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop without delay.
Manual CHECK
Pressing the "CHECK" button on the instrument panel starts the manual CHECK (vehicle autotest). This function enables you to recall at any time (with the key in the ignition on position or with the engine running), the alerts present.
The passenger's airbag deactivated warning lamp * remains on while the airbag is deactivated.
With the engine running and the vehicle moving, the instrument panel displays the warning lamps (in the event of a fault).
If no "major" fault is found, you can star t your vehicle.
Lighting dimmer control
With the headlamps on, press button B to increase the brightness of the instruments and controls and the interior mood lighting or button A to reduce it. As soon as the lighting reaches the required level of brightness, release the button.

Service indicator
More than 1 800 miles (3 000 km) remain before the next service is due
When the ignition is switched on, no ser vice information appears in the screen.
System which informs the driver when the next ser vice is due, in accordance with the manufacturer's ser vicing schedule. The point at which the ser vice is due is calculated from the last indicator zero reset. It is determined by two parameters: - the distance travelled, - the time elapsed since the last ser vice.
Between 600 miles (1 000 km) and 1 800 miles (3 000 km) remain before the next service is due
For 5 seconds after the ignition is switched on, t he spanner symbolising the service operations comes on. The distance recorder display line indicates th e distance remaining before the next service is due. Example: 1 700 miles (2 800 km) remain before the next service is due. For 5 seconds after the ignition is switched on, the screen indicates:
5 seconds after the ignition is switched on,
the spanner goes off ; the distance recorder s offresumes its normal operation. The screen then indicates the total and trip distances.
Less than 600 miles (1 000 km) remain before the next service is due
Example: 560 miles (900 km) remain before the next ser vice is due. For 5 seconds after the ignition is switched on, the screen indicates:
5 seconds after the ignition is switched on, the distance recorder resumes its normal operation. The spanner remains on to indicate that a ser vice must be carried out soon.
Illumination of the key is accompanied by a message in the instrument panel screen.

For 5 seconds after the ignition is switched on, the spanner flashes to indicate that the service must be carried out as soon as possible. Example: the ser vice is overdue by 186 miles (300 km). For 5 seconds after the ignition is switched on, the screen indicates:
The distance remaining may be weighted by the time factor, depending on the driving conditions. Therefore, the spanner may also come on if you have exceeded the two year ser vice inter val.
Following this operation, if you wish to disconnect the battery, lock the vehicle and wait at least five minutes for the zero reset to be taken into account.
5 seconds after the ignition is switched on, the distance recorder resumes its normal operation. The spanner remains on .
Service indicator zero reset
After each ser vice, the ser vice indicator must be reset to zero. The procedure for resetting to zero is as follows:  switch off the ignition,  press and hold the trip distance recorder zero reset button,
 switch on the ignition; the distance recorder display begins a countdown,
 when the display indicates "=0" , release the button; the spanner disappears.
Retrieving the service information
You can access the ser vice information at any time.  Press the trip distance recorder zero reset button. The ser vice information is displayed for a few seconds, then disappears.

EMERGENCY OR ASSISTANCE CALL
EMERGENCY CALL
In an emergency, press this button for more than 2 seconds. Flashing of the green indicator lamp and a voice message confi rm that the call has been made to the PEUGEOT Emergency team * .
Pressing this button again immediately cancels the request. The green indicator lamp goes off.
ASSISTANCE CALL
When the ignition is switched on, the green indicator lamp comes on for3 seconds indicating that the system is operating correctly.

If the orange indicator lamp is on continuously: the backup battery must be replaced. In both cases, consult a PEUGEOT dealer.
Pressing this button again immediately cancels the request.
The cancellation is confi rmed by a voice message.
Press this button for more than 2 seconds to request assistance if the vehicle breaks down.
A voice message confi rms that the call has been made * .
OPERATION OF THE SYSTEM The green indicator lamp remains on (without fl ashing) when communication is established. It goes off at the end of commun ication.
This call is dealt with by the PEUGEOT Emergency team which recei ves locating information from the vehicle and can send a detailed alert to the appropriate emergency services. In countries in which the team is no t operational, or when the locating service has been expressly declined, the call is dealt with directly by the emergency services (112) without the vehicle location.
If an impact is detected by the airbag ECU, and independently of the deployment of any airbags, an emergency call is made automatically.

UPDATING THE RISK AREAS POIs
(speed camera information)
The detailed procedure is available from PEUGEOT dealers.
The fi les must be copied to the root on the chosen medium.
Successful downloading is confi rmed by a message.
The medium used must not contain any other data.
Insert the medium (CD ROM or USB memory stick) containing the POI database into the system's CD player or USB port.
The system detects the medium inserted automatically. Confi rm the start of the update by validating "YES".
Download the "Risk areas POIs" update fi le onto a CD ROM or USB memory stick from the Internet. This service is available onhttps://www.wipinforadars.fr orhttps://www.peugeot-connect-downloads.co.uk.

Enter the same code on the telephone then accept the connection.
Then accept automatic connection on the telephone to allow the telephone to reconnect automatically every time the vehicle is started.
On return to the vehicle,the last telephone connected automatically reconnects, within around 30 seconds after switching on the ignition. (Bluetooth activated and visible).
To modify the automatic connection mode, remove the pairing a nd pair the telephone again with the desired mode.
USING THE TELEPHONE
The " Hands-free mode " should be used in preference if "Streaming" is not desired.
The services available depend on the network, the SIM card and the compatibility of the Bluetooth telephone used. Check the telephone manual and with your network provider for details of the services available to you.
The ability of the system to connect in only one mode depends on the telephone. The two modes may both connect by default.
Select a code for the connection then confi rm " OK ".
