Mirrors

Each fitted with an adjustable mirror glass
providing the lateral rear ward vision necessary

folded for parking in confined spaces.

Door mirrors

If the mirrors are folded using control A
,
they will not unfold when the vehicle is
unlocked. Pull again on control A
.

The folding and unfolding of the door
mirrors using the remote control can be
deactivated by a PEUGEOT dealer.
Fold the mirrors when putting your

Driving

Operation

When you have identified a parking space:

)
Engage a gear on a manual gearbox or put
the gear lever in position A
(electronic gear
control gearbox) or in position D
(automatic
gearbox).

)
Press button A
to star t the system.

)
Operate the direction indicator on the
side where the space is to be measured;
a message is displayed and the warning
lamp flashes to confirm that measurement
is in progress.

)
During measurement, go for ward the
length of the space, at a speed less than
12 mph (20 km/h), to prepare for your
manoeuvre.

)
Once the measurement has been
completed, the system informs you of
the level of difficulty of the manoeuvre
by a message in the multifunction screen
accompanied by an audible signal.

The system displays one of the following messages:

Parking possible

Parking difficult

Parking not advised

If the lateral distance between your
vehicle and the parking space is too
great, the system may not be able to
measure the space.

The system remains available after
each measurement and can therefore
measure several spaces in succession.
In poor or wintry weather, ensure that
the sensors are free of dir t, ice or snow.
The parking space sensor system
deactivates the front parking sensors
when measuring for wards.
If there is a fault, have the system
checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a
qualified workshop.
The system switches itself off automatically:

- when you engage reverse gear,

- when you switch off the ignition,

- if measuring is not requested,

- within five minutes of switching on the
system,

- if the vehicle speed exceeds the threshold
of 45 mph (70 km/h) for one minute.

129 Visibility

Lighting controls
System for selection and control of the various front and rear lamps providing the vehicle's lighting and signalling.

Main lighting

The various front and rear lamps of the vehicle
are designed to provide the best visibility for the
driver and to signal the presence of the vehicle
to other road users:

- sidelamps, to be seen,

- dipped beam headlamps to see without
dazzling other drivers,

- main beam headlamps to see clearly when
the road is clear,

- directional headlamps for improved
visibility when cornering.

Additional lighting

Other lamps are installed to fulfil the
requirements of par ticular driving conditions:

- rear foglamps to better signal the presence
of the vehicle in foggy conditions,

- front foglamps for better visibility in foggy
conditions and to improve lighting at
intersections and when parking,

- daytime running lamps to be seen during
the day.

Automatic lighting
functions
Various automatic lighting functions are also
available depending on options:

- guide-me-home lighting,

- directional headlamps,

- welcome lighting,

- daytime running lamps,

- automatic illumination of headlamps,

- automatic headlamp dipping.

Parking lamps

Side markers for the vehicle by illumination of
the sidelamps on the traffic side only.

)
Within one minute of switching off the
ignition, operate the lighting control stalk up
or down depending on the traffic side (for
example: when parking on the left; lighting
control stalk upwards; the right hand
sidelamps are on).
This is confirmed by an audible signal and
illumination of the corresponding direction
indicator warning lamp in the instrument panel.
To switch off the parking lamps, return the
lighting control stalk to position 0 or switch on
the ignition. Temporarily keeping the dipped beam
headlamps on after the vehicle's ignition has
been switched off makes the driver's exit easier
when the light is poor.

Manual guide-me-home
lighting

Switching on

)
Within 30 seconds or a minute after
switching of the ignition (according to the
automatic guide-me-home lighting duration
programmed in the configuration menu),
"flash" the headlamps using the lighting
stalk.

)
A fur ther "headlamp flash" switches the
function off.

Switching off

The manual guide-me-home lighting switches
off automatically after a set time.

Visibility

When the dipped or main beam headlamps
are on, this function enables the light beams to
provide improved lighting of the side of the road
when cornering.
The use of this function, associated with the
xenon headlamps only, considerably improves
the quality of your lighting when cornering.

Programming

Operating fault

The function is activated or
deactivated via the configuration
menu (in the instrument panel
screen).
When stationary or moving at very low
speed or when reverse gear is engaged,
the function is inactive.
The status of the function remains in the
memory when the ignition is switched off. If a fault occurs, this warning lamp
flashes in the instrument panel,
accompanied by a message in the
instrument panel screen.

Additional directional lighting

With dipped or main beams, this function
makes use of the beam from a front foglamp
to illuminate the inside of a bend, when the
vehicle speed is below 25 mph (approximately
40 km/h).
This additional lighting is particularly useful in
town, at intersections, on very winding roads,
when parking, ...

with additional directional lighting

(the foglamp on the same side is switched on),

- from a cer tain angle of rotation of the
steering wheel.

Switching off

The system is deactivated:

- below a cer tain angle of rotation of the
steering wheel,
