THE MULTI-FUNCTION DISPLAY
General The multifunction, monochrome C or colour display shows the following:
Ð the time,
Ð the date,
Ð the outside temperature (symbol
¡C flashes if there is a risk of ice),
Ð the audio system displays,
Ð the telephone displays,
Ð the name of the road along which the vehicle is travelling (permanent locating),
Ð status of the openings,
Ð warning messages (e.g. 'Fuel level low') and vehicle function status
messages, displayed temporarily,
Ð trip computer display (see corre- sponding section),
Ð satellite navigation system dis- plays* (see corresponding sec-tion),
Ð video images. It is controlled by a keypad. Superimposed display When the status of a function (audio
system, telephone, trip computer,satellite navigation system,....)changes while the display has been
showing a different function, a win-dow opens to announce the modifi-cation (information / warning mes-sage), then disappears.
* According to country The control pad This enables the functions, controls and parameters displayed to be selected
and validated. It is located next to the display.
Dial; This has two functions: ÐRotation of the dial: This allows you to move around the screen and thus select a
function.
It also allows you :
Ð after selection of a 'setting' type parameter, to increase or
decrease the value,
Ð with a 'list'type parameter, to open the list and scroll through
the values.
Ð Pressing the dial: This allows: Ð confirmation of the selected function or the modified value.
Ð selection of a 'setting' or 'list' type parameter in order to
modify it.
Ð cancelling of a superimposed display.
'MENU' button:This allows access at any time to the general menu.
'MODE' button:Ð brief press: Ð monochrome screen C: selection of functions (audio system,
navigation / guidance...),
Ð colour screen: access to the list of controls (context menu) of
the function being displayed.
Ð Press for more than two seconds: putting the screen on standby. 'ESC' button:
Ð brief press: cancelling of the operation in progress and a return to the previous screen or erasing of a superimposed display.
Ð press for more than two seconds: return to the start-up screen.

Automatic storing of FM stations in the memory (autostore) Press button Bfor more than two seconds, to automatically store the 6 stations with the strongest signal in
FM. These stations are stored in the FMast waveband.
If it is not possible to find 6 stations, the remaining memories are empty.
Recalling stations stored in the memoryFor each waveband, briefly press buttons '1'to '6' to recall the corresponding station.
The list of the 6 stations stored on the waveband is displayed each time one of the buttons '1'to '6' is pressed.
RDS SYSTEM Using the RDS (Radio Data System) function on FM Radio Data System allows you to continue listening to the same station, whatever frequency it is using for the region you are going through.
RM2 audio: Press the 'RDS' button to switch the function on or off.
RT2 audio: Press the 'j

✱ RDS' button to switch the function on or off.
The display will show: Ð 'RDS' if the function is selected.
Ð '(RDS)' or'RDS
' if the function is selected but not available.
RDS station following
The display indicates the name of the station selected. The radio is continually searching for the station which has the best reception and which is transmitting the same programme.

PTY function This allows you to listen to stations broadcasting a specific type of programme (news, culture, sport, rock etc.)RM2 audio: with FM selected, press the 'TA'button to switch the function on or off.

To search for a PTY programme: Ð select the PTYfunction ,
Ð briefly press button Mor Lto scroll down the list of the various programmes offered.
Ð when the programme of your choice is displayed, keep button Mor Lpressed for more than two seconds
to carry out an automatic search (after an automatic search the PTYfunction is switched off).
Audio RM2: in PTY mode the different types of programmes can be stored in the
memory. To do this, press one of the preselection buttons '1'to '6' for more than
two seconds. Briefly press the corresponding button to recall the type of pro-
gramme stored in the memory.
Audio RT2: in PTY mode the different types of programmes can be stored in the memory. To do this,
press one of the preselection buttons '1'to '6' for more than two seconds. Briefly press the corre-
sponding button to recall the type of programme stored in the memory.
EON system
This connects stations which are part of the same network. It enables the broadcast of traffic information or a PTY pro- gramme by a station, which is part of the same network as the station to which you are listening.
To do this, select the TA traffic information programme or the PTYfunction.

button D again returns you to normal play.

Information provided by the display A-Indicates receipt of an SMS or voice message.
B - Telephone symbol, indicates:
- if mark Cis present: telephone
ready;
- if mark Cis absent: searching
for network;
- Telephone symbol crossed out, indicates that the telephone is
not ready.
C - Indicates the network signallevel (3 levels).
D - Indicates that the audio equip-ment sound is in "mute" mode.
In addition to the general informa-tion, the multi-function displayenables you to display:
- the directories,
- the incoming and outgoing calls,
- the current communication data (number, name of the caller or of the person called, time counter),
- the second call,
- the name of the operator. Setting up the hands-free telephone kit
If necessary, switch on the mobile telephone, enter the PIN, then switchon the ignition and the RM2 audioequipment. Notes:
if you enter your vehicle
while using your mobile telephone, you may continue your call using thehands-free kit (after a few seconds topermit recognition of the system) byswitching on the ignition (accesso-ries position, 1st notch) and theaudio equipment. If the key is in the accessories posi- tion, the hands-free kit is activatedas soon as the telephone is placedon its support. Making a call
You can make a call:
- by selecting your correspondent from a directory using the steering wheel control or the voice recogni-tion system and then pressing theend of the steering wheel control tomake the call,
- by dialling the number using the telephone keypad (the number willonly be displayed for a fewseconds when the call begins) andthen pressing the telephone's "pickup" button. Receiving a call When an incoming call is received, announced by a ring, you can choose:
- to take the call by validating the
"YES" button of the "Pick up the
call" function, by pressing the end
of the steering wheel control,
- not to take the call by selecting the "NO" button of the "Pick up the
call" function using the steering
wheel control knob and then confir- ming by pressing the end of thesteering wheel control.
Note: automatic pick-up is possible if
your telephone has this function.

Ending a call During, or at the end of, a communi- cation, press the end of the steeringwheel control to display the "Hang
up the call" function, then validate
the "YES" button by pressing the
control again. Second call* This function enables you to:
- receive a second call: you are informed by a bleep and a display,
- make a second call (this function is carried out directly using the tele- phone keypad).
When a second call is receivedduring a call, the message "take/do
not take the call" appears. If you
do not take the second call, youcontinue the first call, but if you takeit, the first call is put on hold.
* If the option and service are available. Switching between calls During a call, press the end of the steering wheel control to display thecontrol button:
- when it is selectedand then confirmedusing the steeringwheel control, thebutton enables youto switch from onecorrespondent to
the other,
- this button enables you to hang up thecurrent call.
SMS messages The receipt of SMS messages is indicated by a symbol (envelope) on
the multi-function display. SMS messages must be written, sent or read using the mobile tele-phone. Directories The
"Telephone directories" func-
tion enables you to consult their content and make a call, but in nocase does it enable you to make anychanges. The mobile telephone's directories are loaded in the system's memory(maximum 254 numbers).
Two cases can be envisaged:
- the telephone used is the same as that used last time the system was used: the initial data is availableimmediately; the data added in themeantime will be available after a
brief loading time. You will not haveaccess to this update via thehands-free kit until the ignition has
been switched off and then onagain;
- the telephone used is different from that used last time the systemwas used: the data will be avai-lable after a loading time whichdepends on how many numbersare to be transferred (between 15 seconds and 3 minutes).

Voice recognition The voice recognition system enables you to make telephone callsusing voice commands (pre-recor-
ded words or phrases) associatedwith numbers in the directories (SIMand telephone only) of a specificmobile telephone.

Note: if the telephone contains more
than 254 directory files, only the first 254 files will be transferred to the sys-tem (in alphabetical order). It will bepossible to consult the rest of the filesdirectly on the telephone. In addition to your telephone's directories, you have an assistancedirectory which enables you to:
- call 112 "Emergency call" ,
- call the PEUGEOT customer service "PEUGEOT Service" .
Note: the emergency call is only
possible if all of the access condi- tions are fulfilled (PIN, network signallevel).
To gain access to the directories:
- press and hold the end of the steering wheel stalk (no call in progress),
or
- press the "MENU"button on the
screen's control keypad to gain access to the "General menu" ,
select "Telephone" and confirm,
then select "telephone directo-
ries" and confirm.
Select the directory of your choi-ce, then a correspondent to makea call.

Selecting a service
To select a service: ¥ select the location. The last destination appears; you can - change it,
- replace it with the current location, by confirmation ofthe corresponding button),
¥ select 'OK'to look at the list of services for the type and
location selected,
¥ select a type of service from the list (hotel, service sta- tion, restaurant etc.)
¥ select 'OK' to activate guidance towards the service
selected. GPS detailsThe details of your current location (longitude and latitude
shown in degrees, minutes and seconds). You can store
them to activate guidance to this location later. Most recent destinations With the dial, select the destination required from the list, then confirm. Personal /Professional directory Select one of the two directories to choose a destination address from the list.

AUTOMATIC AIR CONDITIONING Located on the centre console, the control panel is between the multi-function display and the audio system. The driver and front passenger can each adjust the temperature and the air dis- tribution, to suit their requirements. Do not cover the sunshine / brightness sensor located in the centre of the fascia. It helps to regulate the air conditioning, automatic switching on ofthe lights and the automatic adjustment of the instrument panel bright-ness. 3 - Passenger

4 - Driver comfort programme
 Press the 'AUTO'button(s).
The system adjusts automatically tothe required value .
It also controls the air distribution,
flow and intake so that there is suffi-cient air circulation in the passengercompartment. The air flow (fan) symbol and the
'AUTO' symbols are displayed.
Note: when programme 5or function
11 (following pages) are being used,
the 'AUTO' passenger button does
not operate; it causes temporaryflashing of button 5or 11 indicator
light.
