Selecting telephone mode / Entering a number / Switching off the microphoneTo change to telephone mode, press the 'TEL' button or for more than 2 seconds on the steering column
remote control. Insert your SIM card fully into the slot at the front (use only the new generation 3V SIM card with bank card
format).
Note: the SIM card must not be taken out while the audio/telephone system is still in use. If you forget to do this, an audible
signal will sound for a few seconds after the ignition is switched off.
Enter your PIN number and confirm with the 'OK' button in order to access the network. The welcome screen is
displayed.Note: the PIN code is erased each time the ignition is switched off, but the ''PIN code protection'' function may be
cancelled.
Enter the number of the person you wish to speak to on the digital keypad and pres the 'OK'button to make the call.
To switch off the microphone mid-communication, press the 'TEL'button.
Cancelling the PIN code request
To cancel the PIN code request, select 'PIN code protection' in the 'Telephone parameters' menu and confirm; select 'OFF' and confirm, then input your PIN code and confirm. Receiving / Ending a call When a ringing sounds to let you know that a call is waiting, you can choose either to accept it by press- ing the 'OK'button or not to accept it by pressing button Por by selecting 'Refuse call' using the steer-
ing column remote control, pressing the end to confirm. If you do not accept it, the call is diverted to your voice mail (if this service is available and active).
To end the call, press button Por the end of the steering wheel remote control.
Note: Not accepting or ending a call by means of the steering wheel control returns the system to radio mode.
Receiving two incoming calls
During a call, when there is another incoming call, you are informed of this by a ring and a message. You may choose:
Ð to accept the call by pressing button 2then "OK" ; the first caller is put on hold and you are in contact with the second.
However, pressing button 2again allows you to return to the first caller,
Ð to finish the call you are on and talk to the second caller by pressing button 1 then "OK",
Ð not to accept the new call by pressing button "C".

AUDIO SYSTEM (RM2 and RT2)
Presentation
Your 607 is fitted with a JBL Audio Hi-Fi system, designed specifically for the vehicle's passenger compartment.
At the heart of the system, a 240 Watt multi-function amplifier (1), located in the boot, independently controls 12 highÐdefinition acoustic speakers. These speakers make it possible to obtain optimum reproduction and distribution of the sound in the vehicle, in the
front and in the rear. The speakers are located: Ð in the fascia: two Micro Tweeters (4) fitted in two Mid Range Speakers (5) for clear reproduction of the sound.
Ð in the front doors: two Woofers (6)for reproduction of the bass (low frequencies).
Ð in the rear doors: two Tweeters (2)and two Woofers (3) permitting a balance of frequencies (of the bass and the treble)
in the rear.
Ð on the rear shelf: two Subwoofers (7), designed specifically for reproduction of the extreme bass (very low frequencies)
for real listening pleasure: you will notice the impact and depth without noticing that the sound comes from the rear
of the vehicle .
Adjustment in CD mode The basic functions remain those of the audio equip- ment.
No further adjustment is required. However, to bene-
fit fully from your JBL audio system you are advised
to adjust AUDIO functions (BASS, TREB, FAD, BAL)
to "0" (zero) and the Loudness (LOUD)to the "ON"
position.

This kit enables you to use a standard mobile telephone, in "hands-free" mode. It consists of:
- a support Aintended to accommodate the mobile telephone, located in the
upper compartment of the front armrest,
- a microphone Blocated in the front courtesy light.
The support holds the NOKIA 6310i telephone and connects its aerial to the roof aerial. The hands-free telephone kit uses the following on-board functions:
- the audio system of the RM2 audio equipment,
- the steering wheel control or the multi-function display control keypad,
- the multi-function display displays the telephone's main functions.

B - Telephone symbol, indicates:
- if mark Cis present: telephone
ready;
- if mark Cis absent: searching
for network;
- Telephone symbol crossed out, indicates that the telephone is
not ready.
C - Indicates the network signallevel (3 levels).
D - Indicates that the audio equip-ment sound is in "mute" mode.
In addition to the general informa-tion, the multi-function displayenables you to display:
- the directories,
- the incoming and outgoing calls,
- the current communication data (number, name of the caller or of the person called, time counter),
- the second call,
- the name of the operator. Setting up the hands-free telephone kit
If necessary, switch on the mobile telephone, enter the PIN, then switchon the ignition and the RM2 audioequipment. Notes:
if you enter your vehicle
while using your mobile telephone, you may continue your call using thehands-free kit (after a few seconds topermit recognition of the system) byswitching on the ignition (accesso-ries position, 1st notch) and theaudio equipment. If the key is in the accessories posi- tion, the hands-free kit is activatedas soon as the telephone is placedon its support. Making a call
You can make a call:
- by selecting your correspondent from a directory using the steering wheel control or the voice recogni-tion system and then pressing theend of the steering wheel control tomake the call,
- by dialling the number using the telephone keypad (the number willonly be displayed for a fewseconds when the call begins) andthen pressing the telephone's "pickup" button. Receiving a call When an incoming call is received, announced by a ring, you can choose:
- to take the call by validating the
"YES" button of the "Pick up the
call" function, by pressing the end
of the steering wheel control,
- not to take the call by selecting the "NO" button of the "Pick up the
call" function using the steering
wheel control knob and then confir- ming by pressing the end of thesteering wheel control.
Note: automatic pick-up is possible if
your telephone has this function.

The control pad This lets you select and confirm the functions, controls and programmes dis- played. It is located by the side of the screen.Dial; this has two functions:
Ð Rotation of the dial:This allows you to move roundthe screen and thus select a
function.
It also allows you: Ð with a 'setting' type parameter, after selection, to increase
or decrease the value,
Ð with a 'list'type parameter, to open the list and scroll
through the values.
Ð Pressing the dial: This allows:Ð confirmation of the selected function or the modified value.
Ð selection of a 'setting' or 'list' type parameter for modifica-
tion.
Ð cancelling of a superimposed display.
'MENU' button:This allows access at any time to the general menu.
'MODE' button:
Ð brief press: Ð monochrome screen C: selection of functions (audio sys-
tem, navigation / guidance...),
Ð colour screen: access to the list of controls (context menu)
of the function being displayed.
Ð Pressing for more than two seconds puts the screen on standby. 'ESC' button:
Ð brief press: cancelling of operation in progress and return to the previous screen or erasing of a superimposed display.
Ð pressing for more than two seconds returns to the welcome screen. 77
SATELLITE NAVIGATION SYSTEM Introduction The satellite navigation system guides you, by means of vocal and
visual instructions (graphics), to
your chosen destination. The heart of the system lies in the use of a map data base and GPS
(Global Positioning System). With
this system you can fix the positionof your vehicle by means of a satel-lite network. The system uses the following ele- ments: Ð the control pad,Ð the CD-ROM drive,
Ð the last voice message and route change recall control,
Ð the map data in CD-ROM format,Ð the monochrome or colour screen.

Navigation options From the navigation/guidance menu, the 'Navigation
options' menu offers the following options:
- management of the directories. This allows details of a stored address to be renamed or deleted, by selecting the directory and the details to be modified,
- voice synthesis volume adjustment,
Once the function has been selected, adjust the volumeof the voice synthesis using the dial, the audio systembutton or the steering wheel stalk, then confirm. Note: the voice synthesis volume can also be adjusted
during a message using the audio system button or the steering wheel stalk.
- deletion of all data stored in both directories.
- stopping or resuming of guidance. Two messages may be displayed depending on the previous status: "Resu-
me guidance" or "Stop guidance" . Guidance tools Access to the
'Guidance tools' menu is by pressing the
dial at any time during guidance. It enables: Ð the current guidance criterion to be changed,Ð the programmed destination to be displayed or changed,Ð the voice synthesis volume to be adjusted (see 'Naviga-

Guidance options The sub-menu 'Guidance options' offers various possibil-
ities for improving guidance:

Ð clearing the directories. Calculation criteria Select the criteria which interest you from the proposed list, then confirm. When the criteria of your choice have been selected, choose the ''OK''function, then confirm. Voice synthesis adjustment Activate using the

AUTOMATIC AIR CONDITIONING Located on the centre console, the control panel is between the multi-function display and the audio system. The driver and front passenger can each adjust the temperature and the air dis- tribution, to suit their requirements. Do not cover the sunshine / brightness sensor located in the centre of the fascia. It helps to regulate the air conditioning, automatic switching on ofthe lights and the automatic adjustment of the instrument panel bright-ness. 3 - Passenger

The system adjusts automatically tothe required value .
It also controls the air distribution,
