Side lights and dipped beam head-
lamps switch on automatically if the
light is poor, or during operation of
the windscreen wipers. They switch
off as soon as the light becomes
bright enough or the windscreen wip-
ers stop.
Note: in foggy weather, the bright-
ness sensor can detect suficient
light. As a consequence, the lights
will not come on automatically.
This function is active when the vehi-
cle is supplied to the customer.
To switch the function on
or off, use the multifunc-
tion display "Personali-
sation-Configuration"
menu. Activation
Deactivation
When this function is acti-
vated, the indicator light on
the instrument panel comes
on.
When the function is deacti-
vated, the indicator light on
the instrument panel comes
on.
If the brightness sensor does not
function correctly , the system ac-
tivates the function (the lights come
on) and the dipped beam headlamps
indicator light on the instrument
panel lashes.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to have
the system checked.
Cancellation:
F
lash the headlamps,
F get out of the vehicle and lock it.
Manual "follow-me-home" lighting
In the absence of the automatic
switching on of the lights, the manual
"follow-me-home" lighting can be ac-
tivated.
When you leave your vehicle, the
side lights and dipped headlamps re-
main on for approximately 1 minute.
Activation:
F switch off the engine,
F lash the headlamps,
F get out of the vehicle and lock it.
Deactivation:
F lash the headlamps again,
F get out of the vehicle and lock it.

3 - Driver + maximum authorised
loads.
Initial setting is position 0.
AUTOMATIC HEADLAMP
ADJUSTMENT
On vehicles with xenon bulbs:
when stationary , the system au-
tomatically corrects the height of
the beam, whatever the load of the
vehicle. The driver is then assured
of having optimum lighting and not
causing a nuisance to other road
users.
WINDSCREEN WIPER STALK
Windscreen wipers
2 Fast wipe (heavy rain).
1 Normal wipe (moderate rain).
I Intermittent wipe.
0 Off.
AUTO Automatic wipe or single
sweep.
In the Intermittent position, the
wiping speed is in proportion to the
speed of the vehicle.
In AUTO mode, the wiping speed is
in proportion to the intensity of the
rainfall.
The wiping must be reactivated if
the ignition has been switched off for
more than one minute.
In cases of malfunction
,
the warning light comes
on on the instrument panel
display, accompanied by an
audible signal and a mes-
sage on the multifunction display.
The system places your headlamps
to the low position.
Do not touch the xenon bulbs. Con-
tact a PEUGEOT dealer.

blades to be removed.
In the minute following switching
off of the ignition, any action on the
wipers stalk positions the wipers at
the top of the windscreen (parking in
winter, cleaning, replacement of the
blades).
To reposition the wipers after this has
been done, switch on the ignition and
operate the stalk.
Windscreen and headlamp wash
Pull the windscreen wiper stalk to-
wards you. The windscreen wash
then the windscreen wipers operate
for a ixed period.
The headlamp wash is also activat-
ed,
if the headlamps are on .
Screenwash/headlamp wash low When the minimum level
of the reservoir is reached,
this warning light comes on,
accompanied by an audible
signal and a message on
the multi-function display.
Next time you stop, ill the screenwash/
headlamp wash reservoir.
If the reservoir is empty, the warning
light comes on when the ignition is
switched on, or every time the stalk is
operated, until the reservoir is illed.Automatic windscreen wiper

by a rain sensor, itted on the wind-
screen.
In AUTO mode, the wipers operate
automatically and adjust their speed
to the intensity of the rainfall .
Activation
Deactivation This warning light comes
on on the instrument panel,

presses the wipers stalk down in
AUTO mode.
This warning light comes
on on the instrument panel
when the driver moves the
wipers stalk to position I,
1 or 2. In the event of a malfunction
, the
driver is informed of this by a mes-
sage on the multifunction display.
In AUTO mode, the wipers will then
operate in intermittent mode.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to have
the system checked.
Do not cover the rain sen-
sor, located on the wind-
screen behind the interior
mirror.
When using a car wash,
switch off the ignition.
In winter, it is advisable to wait until
the windscreen is completely clear
of ice before activating the automatic
wipers.
When parking in snowy weather,
position the blades at the top of the
windscreen (maintenance position)
to prevent the accumulation of snow.

COURTESY LIGHTS
1 - Front courtesy light
2 - Front map reading lightsWith the ignition on, operate the
relevant switch.
3 - Rear courtesy light
4 - Rear map reading lights With the ignition on, operate the
relevant switch.
Pressing switch 1 or 3 switches on
the corresponding courtesy light for
ten minutes.
The front and rear courtesy lights
come on automatically when the ig-
nition key is removed, on unlocking
the vehicle or on opening one of the
doors.
They gradually go off after the igni-
tion has been switched on or the
vehicle is locked. Deactivation
The courtesy lights can be deactivat-
ed by pressing switch
1 for more than
three seconds. Pressing switch 1 or
3 briely switches the corresponding
courtesy light on and off.
The map reading lights are not
affected by this and can still be
switched on.
Activation
To re-activate the automatic lighting,
press switch 1 again.
Sill illumination
The sill light is at the bottom of each
door trim.
The light comes on automatically
when the door is opened and goes
off automatically when the door is
closed.
Boot light
The boot light is located in the left
boot trim.
It comes on automatically when the
boot is opened and switches of auto-
matically when the boot is closed.

MIRROR
With the ignition on, the mirror is
automatically lit up when the lap is
opened.
AREAS FOR TOLL CARDS/
CAR PARK TICKETS
The athermic windscreen has two
non-relective zones located either
side of the base of the interior mirror.
They are intended for afixing toll
cards and/or car park tickets.
AIR CONDITIONED GLOVE
BOX
This is itted with a lock.
To open the glove box, lift the handle.
The glove box is lit up when the
cover is opened.
The glove box has a vent
A that can
be closed, which produces the same
conditioned air as the vents in the
passenger compartment.
It also has a pen holder B and three
sockets* C for connecting video
equipment.

Front armrest
To obtain a resting or driving position:
F
Lift the centre handle 1 and pull
the armrest forwards. To return
to the initial position, push the
armrest backwards.
To open the lower compartment:
F Raise the left handle 2. CDs and
coins can be stored here.
To open the top compartment:
F Raise the right handle 3. This is
equipped with a can holder.
CENTRE CONSOLE
1 - Storage compartment
2 - Front lighter
Press and wait for a few moments
until it springs out automatically.
3 - Front ashtray
Press the cover to open the ashtray.
To release the ashtray for emptying,
open it then push the cover down-
wards.
4 - Rear ashtray
Press the cover to open the ashtray.
To empty the ashtray, detach the
receptacle by pulling it towards you.
To reit the ashtray, clip it back into
its housing.
5 - Rear lighter
Push in and wait for a few moments
until it springs out automatically.

REMOVING A MAT
When removing a mat on the driver's
or passenger's side, push back the
seat as far as possible and remove
the clips.
To remove a rear mat, push the cor-
responding front seat forward and
remove the clip.
On reitting, position the mat and
tighten the securing clips fully.
Ensure that the mat is secured cor-
rectly.
Rear shelf compartment
This is provided for the storage of a
irst aid kit.
The catch on the lid is designed to
withstand a weight of 9 lbs (4 kg) on
impact.
Rear armrest
This provides access to the ski lap
from the passenger compartment.
It has two cup holders.
Ski lap
F
Lower the armrest to access
the ski lap. Open by pulling the
handle downwards.
Electric rear sunblind
The blind, itted to the rear parcel
shelf, is intended to protect occu-
pants from the glare of the sun and
the lights of cars behind .
With the ignition on: F Briely press button A on the centre
console to open it out.
F Briely press button A again to
store it away.
To prevent the mat from
becoming caught under the
pedals: - only use mats which are suited to the ixings already
present in the vehicle.
It is imperative that these ixings are
used.
- never it one mat on top of another. Do not place anything on
the blind, to avoid it being
damaged.
