the audible signal becomes continu-
o u s a n d / o r t h e " D a n g e r " s y m b o l a p -
p e a r s o n t h e m u l t i f u n c t i o n d i s p l a y .

for more than 3 seconds.
T h i s s y s t e m c o n s i s t s o f f o u r p r o x i m -
i t y s e n s o r s , l o c a t e d i n t h e r e a r a n d / o r
f r o n t b u m p e r .
I t d e t e c t s a n y o b s t a c l e ( p e r s o n , v e h i -
c l e , t r e e , g a t e , e t c . ) i n f r o n t o f o r b e -
h i n d t h e v e h i c l e . H o w e v e r , i t c a n n o t
detect obstacles located directly under
t h e b u m p e r .
A n o b j e c t , s u c h a s a s t a k e , c o n e o r a n y
o t h e r s i m i l a r o b j e c t m a y b e d e t e c t e d
a t t h e b e g i n n i n g o f t h e m a n o e u v r e b u t
m a y n o l o n g e r b e d e t e c t e d w h e n t h e
v e h i c l e c o m e s c l o s e t o i t .

ensure that the sensors are
n o t c o v e r e d w i t h m u d , f r o s t o r
s n o w .
