CRUISE CONTROL
The cruise control makes it possi
ble to maintain a constant vehicle
speed programmed by the driver
(above 25 mph [40 km/h] with 4 th
or 5 th
gear engaged), without the
accelerator pedal being pressed.
Switching on
➜Place the knob 1in the
ON position. The
warning light comes
on, accompanied by
an audible signal.
Storing a speed
➜Press button 2 or 3 to store the
speed at which you are driving.
➜Press button 2to reduce the
stored speed or button 3to
increase it.
Deactivating the stored speed
➜Press button 4 or the brake or
clutch pedal. Recalling the stored speed
➜Press button
2 or 3.
Cancelling the stored speed
➜Place the knob 1in the OFF
position.
Note: the stored speed is can
celled when the ignition is
switched off.
FRONT, SIDE AND
CURTAIN AIR BAGS
Disarming the passenger air
bag*
➜With the ignition off, insert the
key into control 1and turn it:
– "ON" position, passenger air
bag activated,
– "OFF" position, passenger air
bag disarmed. Precautions regarding the
passenger air bag
➜activate the
air bag for an
adult passen
ger,
➜disarm the
air bag if you
install a rear
facing child
seat.
Do not place your feet or any
object on the instrument panel.
Operating check When the passenger air
bag is disarmed, the
warning light comes on
when the ignition is
switched on (2 nd

ble signal and the message
"Passenger air bag disarmed" .
Air bag fault
If this warning light
comes on, accompanied
by an audible signal and
the message "Air bag
fault" , consult a

Cruise control indicator light
This indicator light comes on when the function is activated.
Battery charge warning light
This comes on each time the ignition is switched on.
If it comes on with the engine running, it is accompanied b y an audible signal and the message "Low battery
charge" on the multifunction display.
It indicates faulty operation of the charging circuit (loose b attery terminals, a cut or slack alternator belt, an alternator f ault).
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Engine diagnostics warning light
This comes on each time the ignition is switched on.
If it comes on with the engine running, accompanied by an a udible signal and the message "Emission control
system problem" on the multifunction display, it indicates a malfunction in the emission control sy stem.
If it flashes with the engine running, accompanied by an a udible signal and the message "Catalytic converter faulty"on
the multifunction display, it indicates a malfunction in th e injection or ignition sy stem. There is a risk of damage to t he
catalytic converter (petrol engines only).
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer without delay.
Note: following prolonged operation of the vehicle at very low sp eed or at idle, you may, in exceptional circumstances, notice
emissions of water vapour at the exhaust on acceleration. This d oes not have any effect on the vehicle's performance or on
the environment.
Diesel preheat indicator light
This comes on each time the ignition is switched on.
In cold weather, wait until it goes out before trying th e starter.

Changing a memorised speed
To memorise a speed higher than
the previous one: press button 3;
 release it when you have
reached the required speed.
To memorise a speed lower than the
previous one:  press button 2;
 release it when you have
reached the required speed.
Cancelling the cruise control  place knob 1in the OFFposition
or switch off the ignition.

CRUISE CONTROL
Cruise control enables the vehicle to
maintain a steady speed pro
grammed by the driver, regardless of
the road characteristics and without
the driver having to touch the accel
erator or brake pedals.
In order for it to be memorised, the
vehicle speed must be greater than
approximately 25 mph (40 km/h) and
fourth or fifth gear must be engaged.
Operation Place knob 1 in the ON
position.
A speed can be memorised.
Illumination of this indicator light indi
cates that the cruise control is on.  Place knob 1 in the OFF position
to cancel. Memorising a speed
As soon as you reach the chosen
speed, press button
2or 3. This
memorises the speed, which will be
maintained automatically.
Note: It ispossible to accelerate
momentarily without disarming the
cruise control.
Cancelling the memorised speed
If you wish to cancel the memorised
speed:  Press button 4or the brake or
clutch pedal.
The warning light goes out to indi
cate that the cruise control is dis
armed.
Recalling the memorised speed
After cancellation, press button 2 or
3 . Your vehicle will return to the last
memorised speed.
Illumination of the indicator light
indicates that the cruise control is
operating again.
Do not use cruise control
on slippery roads or in
heavy traffic.
