THE KEYS
The keys allow you to switch on the
ignition and to independently oper-
ate the lock on the driver's door, the
passenger's door, the fuel iller cap,
the glove box, the passenger air bag
disarming switch and the mechanical
child lock.
The remote control key
Locking
Press button A to lock the vehicle.
Button A also locates the vehicle and
reinitialises the remote control. Opening/Closing the electric
sliding side doors
Pressing button
C or D unlocks the
vehicle, then permits opening or
closing of the corresponding rear
door.
Deadlocking renders the
internal and external door
locking controls inoperative.
Do not leave anyone inside the vehi-
cle when it is deadlocked.
Automatic closing of the windows
Pressing button A for more than
two seconds automatically closes
the windows and places the sunroofs
in the partially open position.

Unlocking
Press button B to unlock the vehicle.
Central locking
From the driver's or passenger door,
the keys allow you to lock, deadlock
or unlock the doors and the tailgate
and to fold back the exterior mirrors.
If one of the doors or the boot is
open, it is impossible to operate the
central locking.
The remote control performs the
same functions at a distance. Deadlocking
Press button
A to lock the vehicle.
A second press on button A in
the ive seconds following locking,
changes locking to deadlocking. Folding/Unfolding the key
Press button
E to unfold or fold the
key in its case.
STARTING
1 - STOP position:
the ignition is off.
2 - 1st notch, Accessories position:
the ignition is off but the accessories
can be used.
3 - 2nd notch, Running position:
the ignition is on.
4 - Starting position:
operates the starter.

ELECTRIC WINDOWS
1 - Driver's electric window.
2 - Passenger's electric window.
3 - Rear right electric window.
4 - Rear left electric window.
5 - Disarming the rear window switches.
Manual mode:
F Press or pull the switch lightly.
The window stops as soon as the
switch is released.
ELECTRIC MIRRORS
Adjustment
F Slide button 6 to the right or left to
select the corresponding mirror.
F Press the arrows on button 7 in all
four directions to adjust.
F Slide button 6 back to the centre
position.
STEERING WHEEL
ADJUSTMENT
F When stationary, lower control A
to unlock the steering wheel.
F Adjust the height and depth of the
steering wheel.
F Lock it by raising control A fully.
CHILD MONITORING MIRROR
Mounted on a ball joint and retracting
into its housing, it enables the driver
or front passenger to see all of the
rear seats.

Automatic mode:
F Press or pull the switch irmly.
One touch completely opens or
closes the window.
Pressing the
switch again stops the window.
Safety auto-reverse: When the win-
dow is closing and meets an obstacle,
it stops and lowers again. Folding
When parking the vehicle, the mir-
rors can be folded back manually
or
electrically by pulling button 6 rear-
wards or automatically on locking the
vehicle.

CRUISE CONTROL
The cruise control makes it possible
to maintain a constant vehicle speed
programmed by the driver (above
25 mph [40 km/h] or 37 mph [60 km/h],
depending on the engine, with at least
4th gear engaged), without the accel-
erator pedal being pressed.F Place the knob 1 in the
ON position. The warning
light comes on, accompa-
nied by an audible signal.
Storing a speed
F Press button 2 or 3 to store the
speed at which you are driving.
F Press button 2 to reduce the stored
speed or button 3 to increase it. Recalling the stored speed
F
Press button 2 or 3.
FRONT, SIDE AND CURTAIN
AIR BAGS
Disarming the passenger air bag*
F With the ignition off, insert the key
into control 1 and turn it:
- "ON" position, passenger air bag
activated,
- "OFF" position, passenger air
bag disarmed. When the passenger air
bag is disarmed, the warn-
ing light comes on when the
ignition is switched on (2nd
key notch), accompanied by
an audible signal and the message
"Passenger air bag deactivated" .
If this warning light comes
on, accompanied by an
audible signal and the mes-
sage "Air bag fault" , con-
sult a PEUGEOT dealer to
have the system checked.

bag if you install
a rear facing
child seat.
Do not place your feet or any object
on the instrument panel.

clutch pedal. Cancelling the stored speed
