The remote control key
Locking
Press button A to lock the vehicle.
Button A also locates the vehicle
and reinitialises the remote control.
Deadlocking
Press button A to lock the vehicle.
A second press on button A in
the ive seconds following locking,
changes locking to deadlocking.
THE KEYS
The keys allow you to switch on the
ignition and to independently ope-
rate the lock on the driver's door,
the passenger's door, the fuel iller
cap, the glove box, the passenger
air bag disarming switch and the
mechanical child lock.
Central locking
From the driver's or passenger
door, the keys allow you to lock,
deadlock or unlock the doors and
the tailgate and to fold back the
exterior mirrors.
If one of the doors or the boot is
open, it is impossible to operate
the central locking.
The remote control performs the
same functions at a distance. Deadlocking renders the
internal and external door
locking controls inopera-
tive.
Do not leave anyone inside
the vehicle when it is deadlocked. Opening/Closing the electric
sliding side doors
Pressing button
C or D unlocks the
vehicle, then permits opening or
closing of the corresponding rear
door.
Folding/Unfolding the key
Press button E to unfold or fold the
key in its case.
Automatic closing of the
windows
Pressing button A for more than
two seconds automatically closes
the windows and places the sun-
roofs in the partially open position.
Unlocking
Press button B to unlock the
vehicle.
STARTING
1 - STOP position:
the ignition is off.
2 - 1st notch,
Accessories position:
the ignition is off but the accesso-
ries can be used.
3 - 2nd notch, Running position:
the ignition is on.
4 - Starting position:
operates the starter.

ELECTRIC WINDOWS
1 - Driver's electric window.
2 - Passenger's electric window.

5 - Disarming the rear window switches.
Manual mode:
F Press or pull the switch lightly.
The window stops as soon as
the switch is released.
Automatic mode:
F Press or pull the switch irmly.
One touch completely opens or
closes the window.
Pressing the
switch again stops the window.
Safety auto-reverse: When the
window is closing and meets
an obstacle, it stops and lowers
again.
ELECTRIC MIRRORS
Adjustment
F Slide button 6 to the right or
left to select the corresponding
mirror.
F Press the arrows on button 7 in
all four directions to adjust.
F Slide button 6 back to the centre
position.
Folding
When parking the vehicle, the
mirrors can be folded back manu-
ally or electrically by pulling button
6 rearwards or automatically on
locking the vehicle.
STEERING WHEEL
ADJUSTMENT
F When stationary, lower control
A to unlock the steering wheel.
F Adjust the height and depth of
the steering wheel.
F Lock it by raising control A fully.
CHILD MONITORING
MIRROR
Mounted on a ball joint and re-
tracting into its housing, it enables
the driver or front passenger to
see all of the rear seats.

To activate or disarm this function,
place the key in the accessories
position, the lighting stalk in posi-
tion 0 and press for more than two
seconds on the end of the stalk. Dipped / main beam
headlamps on.
Side lights on.
Lights off. Front fog lamps and rear fog
lamps (ring B)
Front fog lamps (1st rota-
tion of the ring forwards).

CRUISE CONTROL
The cruise control makes it pos-
sible to maintain a constant ve-
hicle speed programmed by the
driver (above 25 mph [40 km/h] or
37 mph [60 km/h], depending on
the engine, with at least 4th gear
engaged), without the accelerator
pedal being pressed.
F Place the knob 1 in the ON
position. The warning light
comes on, accompanied
by an audible signal.
Storing a speed
F Press button 2 or 3 to store the
speed at which you are driving.
F Press button 2 to reduce the
stored speed or button 3 to in-
crease it.
Deactivating the stored speed
F Press button 4 or the brake or
clutch pedal. Recalling the stored speed
F
Press button 2 or 3.
Cancelling the stored speed
F Place the knob 1 in the OFF
position.
Note: the stored speed is cancelled
when the ignition is switched off.
FRONT, SIDE AND CURTAIN
AIR BAGS
Disarming the passenger air
bag*
F With the ignition off, insert the
key into control 1 and turn it:
- "ON" position, passenger air
bag activated,
- "OFF" position, passenger air
bag disarmed.
When the passenger air bag
is disarmed, the warning light
comes on when the ignition is
switched on (2nd key notch),
accompanied by an audible
signal and the message "Passenger
air bag deactivated" .
If this warning light comes
on, accompanied by an
audible signal and the
message "Air bag fault" ,
consult a PEUGEOT
dealer to have the system
checked.

activate the
air bag for an
adult passen-
ger,
F disarm the
air bag if you
install a rear
facing child
seat.
Do not place your feet or any
object on the instrument panel.
