If you wish to enable or disable guid-
ed driving, select "Enable route cal-
culation" from the main menu, then
conirm by pressing the knob.
Enable route calculation
Alternate route
If you want the system to identify a
new route, other than that calculated
previously, select "Alternate route"
from the main menu, then conirm by
pressing the knob.
The new route is calculated in rela-
tion to the current position of the
vehicle and the destination selected
previously.
Following calculation of the new
route, the following information ap-
pears on the screen:
- the difference in distance between the routes,
- the difference in the time required to reach the destination,
- the "YES/NO" conirmation re-
quest concerning your intention to
follow the new route.
Note: if you conirm your intention to
follow the new route, the system will
replace the previous route. If you wish to delete the selected
destination from the system's mem-
ory, select
"Delete destination"
from the main menu, then conirm by
pressing the knob.

Map options
If you select "Map options" from the
main menu, by pressing the knob,
you will gain access to a new page
with the following sub-menu: F Draw map
F Zoom intersection
F Draw icon
F Draw wording
F Draw RDS-TMC
F Draw areas
F OK "Draw map" function
This enables you to choose the di-
rection of the map on the display.
The options available are
"Directed
north" and "Directed automati-
cally" .
To validate the option, select "OK".
"Zoom intersection" function
This enables you to activate or de-
activate the map enlargement func-
tion when the vehicle approaches an
intersection.
To validate the option, select "OK".
"Draw icon" function
This enables you to activate or deac-
tivate the representation on the map,
by means of icons, of the selected
centres of interest (hotels, service
stations, restaurants).
To validate the option, select "OK".
"Draw wording" function
This enables you to activate or de-
activate the representation of town
names on the map.
To validate the option, select "OK". "Draw RDS TMC" function
This function enables you to activate
or deactivate the representation
on the map, by means of icons, of
the categories of RDS TMC events
("NO", "Trafic", "Weather", "Info").
To validate the option, select
"OK".
"Draw areas" function
This enables you to access the map
representation options. The options
available are: F NO (representation with seg-
ments of road, rivers, ...)
F 2D (representation with segments
and coloured polygons)
F 3D (three-dimensional represen-
tation)
To validate the option, select "OK".

"Highway" function
This enables you to activate or de-
activate the system's authorisation to
include motorways when calculating
the route.
To validate the option, select "OK".
"Route type" function
This enables you to choose one of
the main criteria for calculation of
the route.
The options available are
"Shortest
time" to favour motorways and main
roads and "Shortest distance" to
choose the shortest route.
To validate the option, select "OK".
Route options
If you select "Route options" from
the main menu, by pressing the
knob, you gain access to a new page
which enables you to deine your
preferences for calculation of the
route, with the following sub-menu: F Route type
F Highway
F OK

REAR VIEW ASSISTANCE
When reversing, this system enables
you to display the images from the
video camera installed at the rear of
your vehicle.Adjusting the brightness
To adjust the brightness of the
display, turn knob
H clockwise to
increase the brightness or anti-clock-
wise to reduce it.
In bad or wintry weather,
ensure that the video
camera is not covered
with mud, frost or snow.
Activation
With the ignition key in the
"On" po-
sition, the system switches on when
reverse gear is engaged.
All of the controls are disarmed, with
the exception of:
- the "MAIN DARK" button (switch
the display on or to standby
mode),
- button L (PEUGEOT customer
contact centre),
- the "SRC" button (selection of the
audio source),
- button O (pick up-hang up),
- knob H "SEL" (adjustment of the
display brightness),
- knob B (volume adjustment).

A permanently lit warning light
or one that lashes while the
engine is running indicates an
operating fault. The illumination
of certain warning lights may be
accompanied by a bleep and a
message on the multi-function
display. Do not ignore this
warning: contact your PEUGEOT
dealer as soon as possible.
Engine oil pressure
warning light
This comes on for a few
seconds when the ignition is
switched on.
Illumination of this warning light while
the engine is running indicates that
the oil pressure or level is too low.
Stop immediately.
If there is a lack of oil in the lubrication
circuit, top it up.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer as soon
as possible.
Low coolant level
warning light
Illumination of this warning
light indicates that the
coolant level is too low.
Stop immediately.
Warning: allow the engine to cool
before topping up.
The cooling circuit is pressurised.
To avoid any risk of scalding,
unscrew the cap by two turns to allow
the pressure to drop.
When the pressure has dropped,
remove the cap and top up the level.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Coolant temperature
warning light
This comes on for a few
seconds when the ignition is
switched on.
Illumination of this warning light
indicates an abnormal increase in
the coolant temperature.
Stop immediately.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Low brake luid level
warning light
Illumination of this warning
light while the engine is
running indicates that the handbrake
is applied or has not been released
correctly, or that the brake luid level
is too low.
Simultaneous illumination of the ABS
warning light and the low brake luid
level warning light indicates a brake
force distribution system fault.
Stop immediately.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Handbrake warning
light
This comes on for a few
seconds when the ignition is
switched on.
Illumination of this warning light
indicates that the handbrake is
applied or has not been released
correctly.

Battery charge warning
light
This comes on when the
ignition is switched on.
If it comes on while the engine is
running, it may indicate:
- faulty operation of the charging circuit,
- slack battery or starter terminals,
- a cut or slack alternator belt,
- an alternator failure.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Anti-lock braking
system (ABS) warning
light
If the warning light remains on or
comes on above 7 mph (12 km/h),
this indicates an ABS system fault.
Nevertheless, the vehicle retains
conventional assisted braking.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Traction control (ASR)
warning light
If the warning light remains
on or comes on while the
engine is running and the vehicle is
moving, contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
It lashes when the system comes
into operation and comes on
permanently when the system is
disarmed.
Water in diesel ilter
warning light
This comes on for a few
seconds when the ignition is
switched on.
Illumination of this warning light
indicates that there is water in the
diesel ilter.
There is a risk of damage to the
injection system.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer as soon
as possible.Engine autodiagnostics
warning light
This comes on when the
ignition is switched on.
If it comes on while the engine is
running, it indicates:
- an emission control system fault,
or
- a particulate emission ilter fault.
If it lashes while the engine is
running, this indicates an injection
or ignition system fault. There is a
risk of destruction of the catalytic
converter (petrol engine only).
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer as soon
as possible.

Passenger air bag
disarmed warning light
This comes on for a few
seconds when the ignition is
switched on.
If the passenger air bag is disarmed,
the warning light comes on when the
ignition is switched on and stays on.
In all cases, if the warning light
lashes, contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Diesel engine pre-
heating warning light
This comes on when the
ignition is switched on.
Wait until it goes out before operating
the starter.

Air bag warning light
The warning light comes on
for a few seconds when the
ignition is switched on.
Illumination of this warning light while
the engine is running indicates:
- a front air bag fault,
or
- a side air bag fault.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Low fuel level warning
light
The warning light comes on
for a few seconds when the
ignition is switched on.
Illumination of this warning light while
the engine is running indicates that
the fuel level is low.
When the warning comes on, you
have at least 8 litres of fuel left.
Front brake pad wear
warning light
Lighting of this warning light
while the engine is running
and the vehicle is moving and when
you press the brake pedal indicates
extreme wear of the front brake
pads.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer as soon
as possible.
Electronic immobiliser
key warning light
This comes on for a few
seconds when the ignition is
switched on.
Flashing of this warning light, after
the ignition has been switched on,
indicates an operating anomaly.
If this warning light comes on
(permanently) after the ignition is
switched on, check the identiication
of the key.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer as soon
as possible.
Automatic gearbox
temperature or fault
warning light
This comes on for a few
seconds when the ignition is
switched on.
Illumination or lashing of this
warning light while the engine is
running and the vehicle is moving
indicates an automatic gearbox fault
or an excessive automatic gearbox
temperature.
Stop immediately.
Allow the engine to run at idle (lever
in position N or P) until the warning
light switches off.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer as soon
as possible.

Coolant temperature gauge
When the needle is in zone A, the
temperature is correct.
When the needle is in zone B, the
temperature is too high.
Stop immediately.
Warning: allow the engine to cool
before topping up.
The cooling circuit is pressurised.
To avoid any risk of scalding,
unscrew the cap by two turns to allow
the pressure to drop.
When the pressure has dropped,
remove the cap and top up the level.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer.

INSTRUMENT PANEL
DISPLAY
After switching on the ignition, three
functions are shown in succession:
- service indicator,
- engine oil level indicator,
- total distance recorder/total and trip distances.
Service indicator
This informs you of the distance
remaining to the service in conformity
with the manufacturer's servicing
schedule.
Operation
For a few seconds after the ignition
has been switched on, the spanner
symbolising a service lights up; the
display for the total distance recorder
tells you the distance remaining
before your next service.
The values displayed by the service
indicator before the next service are
the following: 20 000 km (petrol:
30 000 km), 2 000 km, 200 km,
100 km and 50 km.
Example: 2 000 km remain before
the next service is due. When the
ignition is switched on and for a few
seconds, the display shows:
Zero re-set
Your PEUGEOT dealer carries out
this operation after each service.
However, if you carry out the service
yourself, the re-set procedure is as
follows:
F Place the ignition key in the MAR
position (1st notch) and wait until
the spanner stops lashing,
F Press the trip recorder re-set
button for ive seconds.
The distance remaining to the next
service is displayed.
F Press the trip distance recorder
zero reset button for ive seconds
to store the operation in the
memory.
Important: after this operation, if you
wish to disconnect the battery, lock
the vehicle and wait for at least ive
minutes, otherwise the zero re-set
will not be registered.
