CONTROL BUTTONS
- Brief press: cancelling
of operation in progress
or erasing of last su-
perimposed display.
- Pressing for more than one sec- ond: erasing of all superimposed
displays and return to the perma-
nent display. -

These let you select and validate the
functions, controls and programmes
displayed.
The control buttons are an integral
part of the audio/telephone/GPS.

Rotation:
This allows you to move round the
screen and thus select a function.
It also allows you :
- with a 'setting' type parameter,
after selection, to increase or
decrease the value,
- with a 'list' type parameter, to
open the list and scroll through
the values.
- with map guidance, to increase or
reduce the zoom.
Pressing:
This allows:
- access to the list of controls (con-
textual menu) of the permanent
display, if there is no other display
superimposed.
- conirmation of the selected
function or the modiied value.
- selection of a 'setting' or 'list'
type parameter for modiication. -
Brief press: Displaying
of the main screen.
- Pressing for more than
one second: display
stand-by.
- Brief press: Display-
ing of the audio
source - Activation of
the display.
- Pressing for more than one sec- ond: radio or CD off. - brief press: selection of
the navigation source,

MAIN MENU
Press the NAV button to gain access
to the warnings then conirm by
pressing the SEL knob to gain ac-
cess to the main menu .
This consists of three pages which
offer various options for activation
and control of guidance:
- on the 2 nd
page of the menu:

Enter the number in the street en-
tered previously.
Conirm by pressing the knob.Entering the number in the street
Address
If you wish to enter a guidance ad-
dress, select "Address" from the
main menu, then conirm by pressing
the knob.
The last guidance address is dis-
played.
Select and conirm in succession the
input ields "City", "Street" , "Street
Number" then "2nd street" to enter
the information.
The "Map" function permits indica-
tion of the destination entered on a
map by means of a cursor in the form
of a white cross. Entering the name of the town
Entering the irst letter of the name
of the required town will delete the
name of the town displayed.
To enter the name of another town,
select each letter by turning the
knob, then conirm each letter by
pressing the knob.
If an error is made while entering, the
"Delete character" function enables
you to delete the last letter entered.
The "List" function indicates, as the
entry is made, the number of towns
which begin with the same letters.
Activation of this function permits se-
lection of a town from the list.
When the full name of the town is
displayed, conirm by pressing the
knob.
Entering the name of the street
Enter the name of the street in the
same way as the name of the town.
Conirm by pressing the knob. Entering the name of a 2nd street
Enter the name of the 2nd street in
the same way as the name of the irst
street or the town.
Conirm by pressing the knob.
The full destination is displayed.
Select the "OK" function, then
conirm by pressing the knob
to gain access to the guidance
activation function. Follow the in-
structions given by the system.

If you wish to be guided to a service
(hotels, restaurants, museums, sta-
tions ...), select "Points of interest"
from the main menu, then conirm by
pressing the knob.
The list of selection criteria for the
service to be found is displayed:
- "Near car"
- "Near destination"
- "Near address"
- "Name"
Select the criterion, then conirm by
pressing the knob to gain access to
the function.
Enter the details of the selected serv-
ice in the same way as the details of
the town.
Conirm by pressing the knob.
Follow the instructions given by
the system.
Points of interest
This permits indication of the re-
quired services closest to the current
position of the vehicle. The options
available are "Category" and "List
of services" .
After entering the selected service, it
is possible to gain access to the cor-
responding information and location
by means of the "Info" and "Map"
options.
To conirm the option, select "OK".
"Near car" function
This permits indication of the re-
quired services closest to the select-
ed destination. The options available
are "Destination" , "Category" and
"List of services" .
After entering the selected destina-
tion and the selected service, it is
possible to gain access to the cor-
responding information and location
by means of the "Info" and "Map"
options.
To conirm the option, select "OK".

"Near address" functionThis permits locating of the required
services closest to the deined ad-
dress. The options available are
"Category" , "City" , "Street" ,
"Street Number" and "List of serv-
ices" .
After entering the selected service, it
is possible to gain access to the cor-
responding information and location
by means of the "Info" and "Map"
options.
To conirm the option, select "OK". This enables you to enter a known
service. The options available are
"Category"
, "City" and "Service
name" .

If you wish to enter the name of a
chosen destination, select "Direc-
tory" from the main menu, then con-
irm by pressing the knob.
The last destination name is dis-
played.
Enter the name of a chosen destina-
tion in the same way as the name of
the town in the "Address" function.
Selecting "List" provides direct
access to the list of stored destina-
tions.
When a full destination is displayed,
conirm by pressing the knob. The
options available are "Destination",
"Change" , "Delete" and "Map" .
For information on use of the options
available on this new page, refer to
the "Address" paragraph.
Follow the instructions given by
the system.
Directory
Last destinations
If you wish to gain access to the list
of the last ten recorded destinations,
select
"Last destinations" from the
main menu, then conirm by pressing
the knob.
By entering and conirming a desti-
nation, you gain access to the map
on which the destination is repre-
sented by a cursor in the form of a
white cross.
For a description of the options avail-
able on this new page, refer to the
"Map" paragraph.
Select the "OK" function, then press
the knob to gain access to the guid-
ance activation function.
Follow the instructions given by
the system.

The information is represented
by symbols on the map or a list of
events classiied by category.
The "Category" function enables
you to enter the categories of event
about which you wish to receive in-
formation:
- "Trafic"
- "Weather"
- "Info"
- "All"
RDS TMC
The "List of events" function per-
mits access to the list of events
about which you wish to receive in-
formation.
Enter the details of the chosen event
in the same way as the name of the
town.
Validate by selecting "OK".
Follow the instructions given by
the system.

The "Scale" function enables you to
enlarge the map around the selected
point, in accordance with the eleven
preset levels in relation to the follow-
ing scales:
- 100 m/cm, 200 m/cm, 500 m/cm,
- 1 km/cm, 2 km/cm, 5 km/cm,
- 10 km/cm, 20 km/cm, 50 km/cm,
- 100 km/cm, 200 km/cm.
This is done by rotation of the knob.
To conirm the chosen option, select
"OK" .
Following conirmation on the map,
a new page appears with the "Des-
tination" , "Directory" , "Service
info" , "RDS TMC" and "Locate"
functions.
The "Locate" function enables you
to display the position of the vehicle
on the map.
Atlas
If you wish to enter the destination
directly on the map, select "Atlas"
from the main menu, then conirm by
pressing the knob.
The options available are "çè " ,
" éê ", "Scale" and "OK" .
The "çè " and "éê " functions en-
able you to move laterally on the map
using the four directional arrows,
representing the four cardinal points
(North, East, South, West).

"Route info" function
This enables you to display the list
containing the current destinations
(maximum 8 destinations).
"Highway info" function
This enables you to display details
of the next two exits (name and dis-
tance from the current position) and
of the service areas (distance from
the current position).
Note: this function is only activated if
you are driving on a motorway.
"Map" function
This enables you to display the map
showing the next two turns on the
left-hand side.
"Whole route" function
This enables you to display the entire
route between the current position of
the vehicle and the chosen destina-
tion.
"GPS info" function
This enables you to display the cur-
rent position of the vehicle (longitude,
latitude and altitude) and the number
of GPS satellites being received.
The vehicle is represented graphi-
cally by a symbol within the cardinal
points.
If you wish to see the various pieces
of information displayed, select
"Change display"
from the main
menu, then conirm by pressing the
knob.
The options available appear:
- "Map"
- "Whole route"
- "GPS info"
- "Route info"
- "Highway info"
Note: The "Whole route" and
"Route info" options are activated
when the route is calculated by the
system.

If you wish to enable or disable guid-
ed driving, select "Enable route cal-
culation" from the main menu, then
conirm by pressing the knob.
Enable route calculation
Alternate route
If you want the system to identify a
new route, other than that calculated
previously, select "Alternate route"
from the main menu, then conirm by
pressing the knob.
The new route is calculated in rela-
tion to the current position of the
vehicle and the destination selected
previously.
Following calculation of the new
route, the following information ap-
pears on the screen:
- the difference in distance between the routes,
- the difference in the time required to reach the destination,
- the "YES/NO" conirmation re-
quest concerning your intention to
follow the new route.
Note: if you conirm your intention to
follow the new route, the system will
replace the previous route. If you wish to delete the selected
destination from the system's mem-
ory, select
"Delete destination"
from the main menu, then conirm by
pressing the knob.
