Operation
The twin fuel system allows petrol or
liquid petroleum gas (LPG version)
or compressed natural gas (CNG
version) to be used indifferently.
Press switch 1 on the right-hand side
of the instrument panel:
- green indicator light 2 on; operating
using LPG/CNG,
- red indicator light 3 on; operating
using petrol. Starting
Irrespective of the position of switch
1
, the engine always starts using
petrol.
The switch to operation using LPG/
CNG will take place if switch 1 is in
the LPG/CNG position. The indicator
light 2 lashes until the engine reach-
es an adequate temperature.
The switch from one fuel to the
other is displayed by the switching
on/switching off of the corresponding
indicator light 2 or 3.
When the minimum LPG/CNG level
is reached, while driving, this is indi-
cated by lighting of the red indicator
light of the group of indicator lights 4;
the system then switches to opera-
tion using petrol automaitcally.
It is advisable to drive in petrol
mode from time to time to keep
the petrol injection system in
good condition.

Filling the LPG/CNG tank
(Capacity of approximately 60 litres
for the LPG and 160 litres for the
CNG)
- switch off the ignition,
- unscrew the cap protecting the iller opening, turning it anticlockwise,
- lock the iller nozzle onto the opening (if necessary, screw the appropriate
adapter* onto the iller opening irst),
- push the button on the pump,
- once illing has stopped automati- cally, unlock the iller nozzle,
- screw the protective cap back onto the iller opening, turning it clock-
wise. Petrol gauge
When the low petrol level indicator
comes on, ill the tank without delay
as the engine can only start using
petrol. Furthermore, a low petrol
level may result in fuel circuit faults.
LPG/CNG gauge
The LPG/CNG level in the tank is
represented by a group
4, consisting
of four green indicator lights and a
red indicator light.
This red indicator light comes on to
indicate use of the LPG/CNG reserve
which provides you with a range of
approximately 25 miles (40 km) .
If the outside temperature is high,
the LPG/CNG gauge may indicate
a slightly higher quantity of gas than
the actual level. Safety advice
The safety valve must be
closed before any mainte-
nance or repair work is car-
ried out on your vehicle. To close it,
switch off the ignition.
Ensure that there is no risk that the
loads carried may damage the tank.
Testing the tank
The service life of the tanks is
20 years. They are certiied correct
for normal use during this period.
In application of regulation 110R00,
a check must be carried out every
3 years (visual inspection of the so-
lenoid valve and of the tank). The
check must be carried out by an ap-
proved body, in accordance with the
national regulations in force.
It is imperative that any work on the
LPG/CNG feed system is carried out
by a PEUGEOT dealer.
* According to destination.
