IMMEDIATE OPERATION Before switching on the programmable heating, on the vehicle's heating/ventilation control panel, check that:
Ð the temperature adjustment control is in the "Hot air" position,
Ð the air flow adjustment control is in position

The screen and the heating cycle indicator light 1come on and
remain on throughout the period ofoperation.
To switch the heating off, press button 7.

PROGRAMMED OPERATION Note:
before setting the program-
mable heating, ensure that the clock
is set correctly. Operation of the heating can be pro- grammed between one minute and24 hours in advance. Note: you can store three different
start-up time settings and program- me one deferred start-up. Note: if you wish to switch on the
heating at a set time every day, you must reprogramme the stored time
each day.
Press button 6. The screen comes
on. The segments "A"or the previous
stored time and the preselection number "B"are displayed for ten
seconds. Note: to display the other preselec-
ted times, press button 6several
times within ten seconds until the required preselection number "B"
appears.
To set the start-up time, press one of the buttons 5within ten seconds. The programming is stored when:
Ð the start-up time and the preselec-
tion number "B" disappear,
Ð the screen lighting switches off.

Cancelling a programme
To clear a programmed start-up time, press button
6briefly.
The screen lighting switches off andthe preselection number "B" disap-
pears. Recalling a programme Press button 6several times until the
required preselection number "B"
appears. Note: after ten seconds, the time
disappears but remains programmed while the screen lighting and the pre-selection number "B" remain. SERVICING
At least once a year, before winter, have the programmable heating sys-
tem checked by a PEUGEOT dealer. Servicing and repairs should only be
carried out by a PEUGEOT dealer.
Use genuine replacement parts only.
The programmable hea- ting system is fitted with athermal safety devicewhich cuts off combustion
in the event of over-
heating due to a lack of coolant. Inthis case, top up the coolant andpress the programme selectionbutton before switching the hea-ting on again. In the case of a coolant leak,
contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
To avoid inhaling poisonous fumes and asphyxiation, the pro-grammable heating must not beused in an enclosed area, evenfor short periods (areas not fittedwith an exhaust gas extractionsystem). Always switch off the program- mable heating when filling withfuel to avoid any risk of fire orexplosion. The programmable heating sys- tem is supplied from the vehicle'sfuel tank. Before use, ensure thatthe quantity of fuel remaining issufficient.

SEAT BELTS
To adjust the height of the front seat belts
To lower the attachment point, press the upper control and slide itdownwards.
To raise the attachment point,slide the control upwards.
To lock the seat belts Pull the strap, then insert the buckle into the stalk. Pre-tensioning front seat belts Safety in the event of a frontal impact has been improved by the introduc-tion of pre-tensioning front seat belts.Depending on the seriousness of theimpact, the pre-tensioning systeminstantly tightens the seat belt firmlyagainst the body of the occupant. The pre-tensioning seat belts are armed when the ignition is on. Rear seat belts Minibus:
the rear seats are all fitted
with three-point inertia reel seat belts. Combi: the rear side seats are fitted
with three-point inertia reel seat
belts. The centre seats are fitted withlap seat belts
To be effective, a seat belt must be tightened asclose to the body as pos-sible.
Depending on the nature and theseriousness of the impact, thepre-tensioners may be triggeredbefore and independently of theair bags. In all cases of an air bag being triggered, the air bag warning lighton the instrument panel comeson. After an impact, have the system
checked by a PEUGEOT dealer.

THE KEYS The keys allow you to switch on the ignition and operate the passengerair bag disarming switch as well as toindependently operate the locks onthe front doors, the fuel filler cap andthe glove box. Unfolding the key Button
1unfolds the ley from the
remote control casing.
To re-fold the key, press button 1and
fold the key into the remote control cas- ing. Central locking
From the driver's door, the keys allow you to lock and unlock the front doors,the side door (Minibus) and the reardoors. If one of the front doors is open, the central locking does not work. The remote control performs the same functions at a distance. The remote control Locking Press button
Ato lock the vehicle.
UnlockingPress button Bto unlock the vehicle. Locating your vehicle
To locate your vehicle, if you have locked it, in a car park:
press button A, the courtesy
lights come on and the direction indicators flash for a few seconds.

Programming the remote control Switch off the ignition.
Switch the ignition on again.
Immediately press button A.
Switch off the ignition and remove the remote control key
from the ignition lock. The remotecontrol is now working again.
Confidential card The confidential card is necessary for any work carried out by a
PEUGEOT dealer on the system. It contains:
Ð a five digit identification code
1necessary for the emergency
starting procedure,
Ð a code 2for reproduction of your
keys by a PEUGEOT dealer.
These codes are hidden by a film, which should be removed only if
necessary. Keep your card in a safe place, never inside the vehicle. Key in ignition
A buzzer sounds on opening the dri-
ver's door, if the key has been left inthe ignition. Changing the battery of the remote control If the indicator light on the key lights only once, or does not light at allwhen the button is pressed, change
the battery.
To do this, unclip the casing using a
coin at the ring (CR 2032/3 volt battery). If the remote control does not work after the battery has been changed,reinitialise the remote control.
ELECTRONIC ENGINE IMMOBILISER This locks the engine control system as soon as the ignition has been
switched off and therefore preventsstarting of the vehicle by anyone
who does not have the key. The ignition key has an electronic chip which has a special code.When the ignition is switched on, thecode must be recognised for startingto be possible. If the system does not function
correctly,
the electronic immobiliser
key indicator light, situated on theinstrument panel, flashes rapidlywhen the ignition is switched on(2nd notch). In this case your vehicle will not start.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer as soon as possible. If the electronic immobiliser key indi- cator light comes on continuously
after switching on the ignition (2ndnotch), check the identification of
your key. It may also indicate an
operating anomaly.

THE ALARM This provides two types of protection:
Ð exterior protection: it sounds if a
door, the tailgate or the bonnet is opened.
Ð interior protection: it sounds if the volume inside the passenger com-partment changes (breaking of awindow or a movement inside thevehicle).
Setting the alarm Switch off the ignition and get out of the vehicle.
Set the alarm within five minutesof getting out of the vehicle, bylocking using the remote control(the red indicator light, located onthe fascia, visible from outside,flashes once per second).
Note: if you wish to lock your vehicle
without setting the alarm, use thedoor lock. When the alarm is triggered, thesiren sounds and the direction indi-cator lights flash for thirty seconds. After triggering, the alarm remains set.
Warning:
if the alarm has been trig-
gered ten times in succession, on the eleventh time it becomes inactive. Note: if the red warning light, located
on the fascia, flashes rapidly, the alarm has been triggered while you
were away from your vehicle. To stopit flashing, insert the remote controlkey and switch on the ignition. Disarming Unlock the vehicle with the remote control key (the red indicator light,located on the fascia, goes out).
To set the alarm with exterior protection only If, while you are away from the vehi- cle, you wish to leave a window par-
tially open or a pet inside the vehicle,you should choose exterior protec-
tion only. Switch off the ignition placing the key in the STOPposition.
Place the key in the ONposition.
Switch off the ignition placing thekey in the STOPposition.
Remove the key.
The interior protection is disarmedwhen the red indicator light located onthe fascia comes on for two seconds.
Get out of the vehicle.
Within the next five minutes, setthe alarm by locking using theremote control (the red indicatorlight, located on the fascia, flash-es once a second).
Note: when the alarm is set but the
remote control does not operate: Unlock the doors with the key
and open the door. The alarm istriggered.
Switch on the ignition in the next
ten seconds. The alarm is dis-armed.
Incorrect operation When the ignition is switched on, if the red indicator light, located on thefascia, comes on for ten seconds,there is a fault in the siren connection.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to have the system checked. Do not make any modifications to the alarm system, this could cause faults.

OPENING THE BONNET From inside: pull the handle on the
left-hand side under the fascia. From outside: lift the catch Aand
raise the bonnet. Bonnet strut Secure the strut to hold the bonnet open. Before closing the bonnet, replace the strut in its housing.
To close Lower the bonnet and release it at the end of its travel. Check that thebonnet is properly locked. FILLING WITH FUEL Low fuel level
When the minimum fuel level in the tank is reached, thiswarning light comes on.
You have approximately
8 litres of fuel left.
The engine must be switched offwhen filling with fuel.
Open the fuel filler flap by pressingthe front of it.
Insert the key then turn it to theleft.
Remove the cap and hang it onthe hook located on the inside ofthe flap.
An indication on the cap reminds youwhich type of fuel to use. When you fill your tank, do not con-
tinue after the third cut-off of the
pump. This could cause your vehicleto malfunction. The capacity of the tank is appro- ximately 70 litres. After filling the tank, lock the cap and close the fuel filler flap.
The key cannot be removed from thelock until the cap has been replacedon the fuel tank.

THE LIGHTS STALK Front and rear lights Selection is by turning the ring.
Lights off Side lights Dipped headlamps
Main beam headlamps Dipped/Main beam change Push the stalk forwards to switch on the main beam headlamps. Pull the stalk towards you to switch
them off. Note:
with the ignition off, when the
driver's door is opened, a buzzer sounds if you have left your lights on. Front fog lamps Press the button in the centre of the
fascia panel. The warning light onthe button comes on. The front fog lamps operate with the dipped and main beam headlamps. Direction indicators (flashers)
Left: downwards.
Right: upwards.
Rear fog lamps Press the button in the centre of the
instrument panel. The warning lighton the button comes on. The rear fog lamps operate with the dipped and main beam headlamps.
In good or rainy weather, both day and night, therear fog lamps are daz-zling and are prohibited. Do not forget to switch the
fog lamps off when they are no longer needed.
