Wiper control stalk
Programming
Your vehicle may also include some functions
that can be activated/deactivated:

utomatic windscreen wipers,

ear wiping on engaging reverse gear.
In wintry conditions, remove snow, ice or
frost present on the windscreen, around
the wiper arms and blades and the
windscreen seal, before operating the
wipers.
Do not operate the wipers on a dry
windscreen. Under extremely hot or cold
conditions, ensure that the wiper blades
are not stuck to the windscreen before
operating the wipers.
Manual controls
The wipers are controlled directly by the driver.

Raise or lower the control to the desired

Towing a trailer on a slope increases the
temperature of the coolant.
As the fan is electrically controlled, its cooling
capacity is not dependent on the engine speed.

depends on the gradient and the exterior
temperature.
In all cases, keep a check on the coolant

f this warning lamp and the STOP
warning lamp come on, stop the
vehicle and switch off the engine

Do not pull a trailer before having
driven at least approximately 620

Braking
Towing a trailer increases the braking distance.
To avoid overheating of the brakes, the use of
engine braking is recommended.

Lighting
F Check the electrical lighting and signalling on the trailer and the headlamp beam height
of your vehicle.

Certain driving or manoeuvring aids are
automatically disabled if an approved
towbar is used.
If the exterior temperature is high, it is
recommended that the engine is allowed
to idle for 1 to 2

Starting/switching off the
engine

The parking brake must be applied.

ith a manual gearbox, shift the gear lever
into neutral, press the clutch pedal to the
floor and keep the pedal down until the
engine runs.

ith an automatic gearbox, select position
P, then firmly press the brake pedal.
Using the conventional key/the
remote control key

the operation of the system or prevent it

vehicle, low sun, reflections on a damp
road, leaving a tunnel, alternating

condensation, etc.).
In these situations, detection performance
may be reduced.Malfunction
If the cruise control
malfunctions, dashes are
displayed instead of the
cruise control speed setting.
If this warning lamp comes
on, accompanied by an alert
message and an audible
signal, this confirms a
malfunction.
The adaptive cruise control deactivates
automatically if the use of a "space-saver"
type spare wheel is detected or if there is
a malfunction on the lateral brake lamps or
trailer brake lamps (for approved trailers).
The cruise control operates by day and
night, in fog or moderate rainfall.
However, it is strongly recommended that
you always keep a safe distance from
vehicles ahead, according to the driving
conditions, the weather and the road
sur face.
Use the cruise control only where the
driving conditions allow running at a
constant speed and keeping an adequate
safety distance.
Do not activate the cruise control in urban
areas where pedestrians are likely to
cross the road, in heavy traffic (except for
versions with EAT8 gearbox), on winding
or steep roads, on slippery or flooded
roads, when there is snowfall, if the
windscreen is damaged or when the brake
lamps have failed.
In certain circumstances, it may not
be possible for the speed setting to be
maintained or even attained: loaded
vehicle, ascending a steep hill, etc.
Have the system checked by a PEUGEOT
dealer or a qualified workshop.
Memorising speeds
Linked to the speed limiter and programmable
cruise control, this function allows speed limits
to be registered which will then be suggested
as settings for these two systems.
You can memorise several speed settings for
each system.

After three first level alerts, the system triggers
a further alert with the message "Dangerous
driving: take a break ", accompanied by a
more pronounced audible signal.
In certain driving conditions (poor road
sur face or strong winds), the system may
give alerts irrespective of the driver's level
of vigilance.
The following situations may interfere with
the operation of the system or prevent it
from working:

The internal sur face of the windscreen can
also become misted around the camera.
In humid and cold weather, demist the
windscreen regularly.
Do not allow snow to accumulate on the
bonnet or roof of the vehicle as this could
obstruct the detection camera.
Parking sensors
This function is a manoeuvring aid which
cannot, in any circumstances, replace the
need for vigilance on the part of the driver.
The driver must remain attentive and stay
in control of their vehicle.
They must always check the vehicle’s
surroundings before undertaking a
manoeuvre.
During the entire manoeuvre, the driver
must ensure that the space remains clear.
Using sensors located in the bumper, this
function warns of the proximity of obstacles
(e.g. pedestrian, vehicle, tree, barrier) entering
their field of detection.
Rear parking sensors
The system is switched on by engaging reverse
g e a r.
This is confirmed by an audible signal.
The system is switched off when you come out
of reverse gear.
Audible assistance
The function signals the presence of obstacles
present both within the sensors’ detection
zone and in the vehicle path defined by the
orientation of the steering wheel.

Malfunction
If a fault occurs when shifting to
reverse, this warning lamp comes on
in the instrument panel, accompanied
by a message and an audible signal
(short beep).
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop to have the system checked.
Reversing camera
With the ignition on, this system uses a camera
located near the third brake lamp to display a
view of the rear of your vehicle on the output
screen (if it is a panel van or has a solid
partition).
The reversing camera is activated automatically
when reverse gear is engaged. The image is
displayed on the output screen. The output
screen switches off when the gearbox is in
neutral or in a for ward gear. The blue lines 1 represent the general direction
of the vehicle (the gap corresponds to the width
of your vehicle with the mirrors).
The red line 2 represents a distance of about
30
cm beyond the edge of your vehicle's rear
b u m p e r.
The green lines 3 represent distances of
about 1 and 2
metres beyond the edge of your
vehicle's rear bumper.
The turquoise blue curves 4 represent the
maximum turning circle.
The reversing camera is a driving aid which
cannot, in any circumstances, replace the
need for vigilance on the part of the driver.
Some objects may not be seen by the
camera. Certain vehicles may be difficult to see
(dark colours, headlamps off) when the
brightness of the screen is reduced by the
vehicle’s lighting dimmer.
The image quality may be affected by the
environment, the exterior conditions (rain,
dirt, dust), the driving mode, the lighting
conditions (night, low sun).
In the presence of areas in shade, or in
conditions of bright sunlight or inadequate
lighting, the image may be darkened and
with lower contrast.
Obstacles may appear further away than
they actually are in reality.
During parking manoeuvres and lane
changes, it is important to check the sides
of the vehicle using the mirrors.
The rear parking sensors also provide
information on the vehicle's surroundings.

The blue dimension lines 1 represent the width
of your vehicle with the mirrors unfolded.
The red line 2 represents a distance of 30 cm
from the rear bumper; the two green lines 3 and
4 represent 1
m and 2 m, respectively.
The blue cur ves 5 appear successively; they
are based on the position of the steering wheel
and represent the turning circle radius of your
vehicle.
The orange dashes 6 represent the opening
radii of the rear doors. - The
visual reversing aid : allows a view of
the area close to the rear of the vehicle. Some items may not be seen by the rear
camera.
Certain vehicles may be difficult to see

After the measurement is triggered from the
loading area, the LEDs of the 3 buttons flash
simultaneously for about 3


seconds and then
go out. These warning lamps come on, together with a
message.

Energy economy mode
System which manages the duration of use of
certain functions to conser ve a sufficient level
of charge in the battery.
After the engine has stopped, you can still use
functions such as the audio and telematics
system,
windscreen wipers, dipped beam
headlamps,
courtesy lamps, etc. for a
maximum combined duration of about forty
minutes.
Switching to this mode
A message appears in the instrument panel screen
indicating that the vehicle has switched to economy
mode and the active functions are put on standby.
If a telephone call is being made at this
time, it will be maintained for around
10
minutes with the Bluetooth hands-free
system of your audio system.
Exiting the mode
These functions will be automatically restored
the next time the vehicle is used.
In order to restore the use of these functions
immediately, start the engine and let it run:
-

f
or less than ten minutes, to use the
equipment for approximately five minutes,
-

f
or more than ten minutes, to use the
equipment for up to approximately thirty
minutes.
Let the engine run for the duration specified to
ensure that the battery charge is sufficient.
Do not repeatedly and continuously restart the
engine in order to charge the battery.
A flat battery prevents the engine from
starting.

Advice on care
General recommendations on the care and maintenance of your vehicle are given in the warranty
and maintenance record.Observe the following recommendations to
avoid damaging your vehicle:

o not clean your headlamps with a dry
or abrasive cloth, nor with detergent or
solvent products. Use a sponge and
soapy water or a pH neutral product.

W
hen using a high-pressure washer on
stubborn dirt, avoid prolonged use on the
headlamps, the lamps and their edges to
avoid damaging their lacquer finish and
seals.

N
ever use an abrasive sponge to clean
persistent dirt, as this may scratch the
paint sur face. Use a soft cloth with soapy
water instead.
-

W
hen washing your vehicle, never clean
the interior with a water jet.
-

W
hen washing your vehicle in an
automatic roller-brush car wash, be sure
to lock your doors and, depending on
version, remove the key. -

N
ever use high-pressure washing to
clean the engine compartment, in order
to avoid damaging the electrical units.

L
iquids carried in an open vessel (e.g.
a cup or mug) could be spilt, presenting
a risk of damage on contact with the
controls in the dashboard and centre
console. Be careful.
Depending on version, in order to avoid
damaging or unpeeling the stickers on the
bodywork, you are strongly advised against
using high-pressure cleaners to wash your
vehicle. It is recommended that you wash
it using a high-flow water jet and rinse the
vehicle down using demineralised water.
Only a microfibre cloth is recommended for
wiping your vehicle; it must be clean and
used gently.
It is always preferable to have paint repairs carried out by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop.
